Customer Ratings & Reviews

Hot Wheels has long been the gold standard for die-cast cars, and they've successfully translated that magic into the world of remote control vehicles with their 1:64 scale Ford Mustang GTD. This isn't just a toy; it's a miniature powerhouse that delivers surprising performance in a tiny package. From the moment you unbox it, the attention to detail is impressive. The iconic lines and aggressive stance of the Ford Mustang GTD are perfectly replicated, from the wide grille to the sleek rear spoiler. The 1:64 scale makes it small enough to race across a desktop or navigate intricate tracks built from books and household items, yet it feels solid and well-built. It's the kind of car that looks great on a shelf but is begging to be played with. When you take the controls, the car's responsiveness is immediately apparent. The steering is precise and the acceleration is zippy, making it a blast to drive. While it won't hit blistering speeds, it’s fast enough to feel exciting and maneuverable without being uncontrollable. The small scale means it can handle tight turns with ease, and the durable build holds up surprisingly well to minor bumps and crashes—a crucial feature for any RC car destined for a living room race track. The remote itself is simple and intuitive, making it easy for even younger users to pick up and play. In conclusion, the Hot Wheels Ford Mustang GTD RC is a fantastic blend of collectible design and remote control fun. It's an excellent value for its price, offering a high-quality build, impressive detail, and enjoyable performance. Whether you're a die-hard car enthusiast or looking for a fun new RC toy, this mighty little Mustang is a great choice that won't disappoint.

My son lovesssss this! He thinks it’s so cool that his hot wheel can move with the remote. He takes it everywhere we go! So even when I’m shopping he has something to do when I say everywhere I mean everywhere ! And it’s small easy to carry.

It is a very cool remote control it’s honestly way faster than I thought it would be, great purchase. It would be a good gift for Christmas.

Super fun! I bought two so I can play with my sister and we crash them against each other and whoever flips looses. We play for hours haha.

This thing is a blast! Good range and drifts! Donuts too!

Bought this with a lot of doubts, but after watching my neices and nephews playing with this I was very satisfied. Cars run for quite a while on a single charge. Speeds are good. Multiple (5) in the same space did not result in overlap between controllers and cars. Would have liked to have had different colors and models, but this was absolutely a christmas win. I wish they didn't have proprietary charging cables, but c'est la vie.

It's a good product, it's affordable and of good quality, the battery lasts quite a while for its size and it has good speed.

Very fun to play with your kids on their hot wheels track. It has regular speed and turbo mode that is super fast! Can do some big jumps and loopy loops of all sizes! This mini rc car packs a punch and can even drift! It comes with a small controller that allows you to turn left or right as well. Very cool addition to the hot wheels family.

fast little car and very fun! Has booster that really kicks up the speed. Doesn't work on carpet, but man it flies on the tile.

Grandson loves this Hot Wheels!! Because of its size, it is the perfect remote control vehicle for travel. Works great on all of his hot wheels track systems. Highly recommend!

Charges fast. Easy to operate but takes awhile to master it. Very fast, very responsive. Does not work on carpet.

Great gift for kids on the go. Works well fast charging great to play with indoors on cold days.

Works really well, my kid loves chasing after it! Theres just a slight issue with the back right wheel, where occasionly it does not spin.

This little RC Mustang is surprisingly quick and very responsive to the controls. The steering feels smooth, and making turns is a lot of fun. The only downside is that it isn’t very stable at higher speeds. It tends to slide around, and keeping it driving perfectly straight can be challenging. That said, for the size and price, it’s still an enjoyable RC car and has provided plenty of entertainment. My kid especially loves how fast it moves and how easily it turns.

Great fun, goes fast, difficult to go straight and short battery, but very fun!

This little car is so fast! Way better quality and life than I ever expected for a little remote car like this! Charges super fast

Got this for my kid and honestly I’ve played with it more than he has. Surprisingly responsive controls for a 1:64 scale car and the Mustang GTD detailing is great. Fun little gift that punches above its price point.

it's a fun toy and the dogs like to chase it around. doing donuts is fun no matter the size of the car!

I have purchased several versions of this product over the years. This is a fine iteration. The wheels are probably my only negative as they are a little smoother than last iteration and require more tacking or clean floor. Drives best on linoleum. Mattel needs to figure out a better connecter for the charger. This version's charger is better than the previous.

Awesome little RC car, very fast!! Battery last a while and charge super fast
