  • Features
    • Hard Food Disposer: true (This feature has blades to chop and disintegrate hard food particles, making them small enough to easily drain away. This prevents them from being recirculated back onto dishware and allows for easy maintenance.)
    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)

Q: How long does each cycle take to run?

A: The Heavy-Duty Wash cycle will run for approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes and the Everyday cycle will run for approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. For additional information, we recommend reviewing the online Owner's Manual which is available by clicking on the Features tab and scrolling all the way to the bottom of the Features list. -Vikki@GEAppliances

Q: I have a brand new dishwasher, I know the water works as it gets wet inside, but, the soap dispenser isn't opening. The green lights flash off and on so I'm not sure if that means it's done? This is the second one that's been stalled. New ones lol

A: I have same experience, but this sometimes happens to other brands and models too. So, I am not particularly complaining about it, but this machine has no controls other than heavy/normal wash.... It is very surprisingly disappointing.

Q: My Hotpoint dishwasher won't roll in and out properly on the bottom. It comes off the track and we have to pull it in and out so it goes crooked and after loading we have to re adjust and shove it back in to close the door.

A: Please make sure the dishwasher is properly leveled. If this doesn't prove helpful, we recommend scheduling a service appointment for one of our qualified technicians to assess your unit. You can schedule an appointment by calling us at: 1-800-432-2737.

Q: My dishwasher isn’t drying my dishes and I’ve tried all 3 cycles… what am I doing wrong?

A: There are several possible causes to why your dishes are not completely dry after a cycle. Please review the section titled: "Dishes Don't Dry" on page 20 of the Owner's Manual for suggestions on what to do in this situation. If this information doesn't prove helpful, we recommend scheduling a service appointment for one of our qualified technicians to assess your dishwasher. You can schedule an appointment by calling us at: 1-800-432-2737.

Q: Does this have to be installed in cabinets or can it be freestanding?

A: Hey there - As per the Installation Instructions, which can be found in the "From the Manufacturer" section of this product page, the dishwasher must be fully enclosed on the top, sides and back, and must not support any part of the enclosure. For any additional questions about this dishwasher model, we recommend looking through the same Installation Instructions previously mentioned. Kind regards. Julia@Hotpoint

Q: What's the insulation made of?

A: Hello – thanks for reaching out. This model does not come with an insulation blanket and does not have insulation such as Bitumen or Mastic. We hope this is informative and please let us know if you have any other questions. Take care. Lauren@Hotpoint

Q: What the insulation made of?

A: Hey there – that’s a great question. This model does not come with an insulation blanket and does not have insulation such as Bitumen or Mastic. We hope this helps in your decision making! Lauren@Hotpoint

Q: HOW DO I SELECT A CYCLE? IN PARTICULAR THE HEAVY WASH

A: Hi - Thank you for reaching out to us. To select the Heavy cycle, press and hold the Start pad for 3 seconds to change the cycle. A green light under the words Heavy Cycle will light up to let you know it has been selected. We hope this is helpful. Please contact us again if you have additional questions or concerns. Don't buy it unless you are okay with plastic

Save your money and buy an upgraded dishwasher. This one was definitely inexpensive, but it looked and operated that way too. The only good thing is the way the dishes and glasses are loaded, they drain better. It only has one cycle, with is Heavy.
