Gruv always does a great job with shipping! Items came well backed and no damage was done to the steelbook case itself which I know can happen sometimes. The show and quality of disc was great as well.

The 4K blu-rays look great, when they work... I am returning my copy because my 3rd disc was defective/damaged. As you can see in the photos, this scene got seriously messed up. My 2nd disc also had some skipping issues in the scene after Alicent and Larys have their private dinner on one of my blu-ray players. I believe discs 2 & 3 are BD100 discs which apparently some players do not play well with. They should have just used regular 4K blu-rays for the episodes, and then loaded all the extras (which are very lacking by the way...) on its own disc. The other issue is that HBO decided to cheap out on the packaging. The steelbook is supposed to be a more premium packaging, but honestly I might just get the regular version after my return clears. In the steelbook, all 4 regular blu-rays are stacked on top of each other on the left side, and on the right side all of the 4K discs are stacked on top of each other, so there is a much higher risk of scratching. Disc 3 with the video issues I experienced in attached pics had a scratch on it before I even played the disc (I made sure to check because distributors like to be cheap and stack discs on each other which makes damage much more likely) I was hoping the scratch would not actually affect playback, but it clearly did. It sucks because other than a few disc defects, the show looks so much better on disc than it does streaming. Wow, what a difference with the episode "Driftmark" is. It was so dark and flat looking on streaming, and while I still don't love the color grading, it is MUCH clearer on disc due to uncompressed HDR. This is definitely the definitive way to watch the show, it's just a shame HBO decided to try and save a few nickels and cheaped out on the packaging at the expense of the customer. Also, a slightly minor gripe--the circle part that actually holds the discs is VERY snug. If you purchase a lot of physical media, you know what I'm talking about. Especially the first time taking out a disc, it felt like I was going to snap my disc... I don't understand how manufacturers are still making these death grip holders. CD/DVD/Blu-rays have been around forever. Please fix this issue...

Such a great show with compelling story telling and top notch acting and exactly what this franchise needed to respark the fire after it went out after the final 2 seasons of game of thrones
