Happy with it
absolutely love it! It rides super smooth and does not take long to learn to balance on it. In fact, as soon as you turn it on the hoverboard automatically auto-stabilizes. The lights are very cool as well. One charge lasted me two days of moderate use. I also like that it does not go super fast straight out. So far it seems to be very intuitive as far as going forward or backward. I am still perfecting turning though. That being said, I gave it four out of five stars for two reasons. One, when I first got the hoverboard, the box and device itself smelled very strongly of cigarettes for some reason. I thought that was really odd and disappointing. It went away after a few days. Two, every time you step on or off it makes a really loud beeping sound. The beep is okay it is just the volume is really loud. That being said, I do recommend it nonetheless and think it is an excellent hoverboard.

Good for beginners
We got this for my 7 year old for Christmas. He was a little unsteady when he first tried it but after a couple tries he had it down and by the next day he was spinning in circles and flying all around the house like he’d been doing it for years. When he first got on I could hear that something was rattling around inside one of the sides of the hoverboard which is frustrating because the nearest Best Buy is pretty far away from us so trying to exchange it is not ideal. He’s been riding it and we hope it stays okay but really disappointing to get a hoverboard that was already falling apart. I also noticed this dies rather quickly but it takes 5 HOURS to recharge. That doesn’t go over well with a 7 year old. Overall it’s okay for a beginner but when it’s time to replace this one I’ll be looking for an upgraded model that has more endurance and doesn’t arrive with rattling pieces inside of it.

Great for little kids!
We have owned this hoverboard for about a week, and it's been a great purchase for our 6 year old. The 7 mph and 160 lbs limitations are in our case pluses, because it means it is the right weight distribution for our 45lb son, and I can always catch him if he goes top speed. The charge held for 4 four days unplugged and about three hours of play before we had to plug it in again. The unit began beeping when we needed to plug it in, and it still had enough juice to ride it back to house. It's not very heavy. Our son has let kids at the playground try it out, and I would say that it's best for kids 3+ to about teenage. We also bought him a helmet and safety pads -- and I highly recommend the wrist and elbow guards especially.
