Visibly more transparent for better photography.
Worth the extra price. Compared to the Insignia brand, this is visibly more transparent, and thus it will affect your exposure less.

Why a filter
Filters are a great investment if you like to leave your camera with the lens cap off - ready to shoot. This one appears to work well which means it does not distort the light entering the aperture.

Well priced good quality
A good filter for the price, does its job of protecting lens and filter haze, as good as other more expensive filters.
