Perfect sacrificial lens to protect my optics from pumps, dust and water.

Fits perfect on my rf 24-70 lens and it’s very thin

Not much to say - it's a UV filter. Good quality, well built, glass has multilayer antireflective and dust/droplet resistant coatings, which makes it somewhat easier to clean than other UV filters.

This filter is exactly as described, and flawless out of the box. I love UV filters for protecting the front of my lenses, it's a must for me. And you can't go wrong in Hoya.

I had a shoot in a very dusty location with my new rf 24-70 f2.8L lens, with this of course at the tip. When I got home I noticed the sand was able to scratch the lens...which immediately made me feel thankful as I would not have been able to bare scratch marks on the front element of a brand new expensive lens....color and rendition was also beautiful, crisp and clear.

Works great to filter out UV rays and protect lens glass from scratches and dust.

Good light transmission and durability. There's no sense in investing in a good lens and then using a cheap filter. The slim frame helps you to be able to stack a second filter like a polarizer without vignetting unless you're using at a very wide focal length.

The quality and clarity of this lens was exactly what I needed for my new lens. It protected my lens during mountain hikes through shrubs and rocky climbs on slippery ground. More than once it has saved my lens.a must have item!

Well I just purchased a $1300.00 Nikon lens and this is what I need to protect the front element from dust and scratches without sacrificing the optical quality of that lens like a cheep filter would do. I used Hoya filters before and I think they are with the money.

It’s a UV filter. It’s only job is to protect your expensive lens from being ruined from debris, dust, sand, sharp objects, drops, etc. This is an additional glass barrier to guard your lens. Buy it. Or be sorry down the road. Your call.

Hoya makes some of the nicest filters for the price point ! I’m always in the weather shooting so I need good filters to protect my lenses !

IF you have a high-dollar lens, this is an absolute must to protect the glass from scratch and debris.
