This laptop helped me throughout my senior year of college. It has great storage space, easy to navigate, and I can carry it with me just about anywhere. And did I mention great storage space? I played The Sims 4 on this computer and downloaded mods, and it still had more than enough storage space, even after purchasing more just in case.

Great laptop! Love the screen and I’ve had now for close to 2 years and it still works perfectly. I used this for school and now as my personal laptop and have no complaints.

Still trying to get use to Windows 11. Some times when typing my screen moves or enlarges. This is very annoying.

This computer won't let me register it, and it keeps coming up with error when I call in, broke 5 months after buying, worst laptop ever. You will be out almost 500 for buying it.

I have no illusions that any laptop at this price is going to be without compromises. Here, the specs are borne out by excellent performance for everyday use. I'm not a gamer and have a dedicated laptop that I use for work, so this is just my casual use browsing/personal use laptop. For that purpose, it's more than adequate. Performance is quick and snappy, the screen is quite nice, and battery has a good life, assuming your screen is set to a reasonable level of brightness. It is obvious that money was saved in the construction of the laptop though. Depending on your needs and pet peeves some or all of these shortcomings may be a deal breaker. The case is made of slippery, cheap-feeling plastic and has a hollow, echo-y sound when typing. Where the bottom of the case joins with the keyboard it creates quite a sharp joint that manages to cut into one's wrists with both sides of the bottom of the case as the inside and outside edges are sharp, and the keyboard is set slightly below the lip of the case bottom, leaving "U"-shaped indentations on one's wrists/arms. The keys have very short travel, poor tactile response (consisting solely of completely bottoming out), are completely flat and made of the same slippery plastic as the case. I touch type very quickly and if this were my main laptop, I would return it because of the keyboard alone. The trackpad also suffers from the same terrible plastic which causes sliding motions to stick and then skitter across the track pad making smooth motions difficult. Finally, the power button. At least I believe it to be a button, but it is so utterly devoid of tactile response that it might be just a solid lump molded directly into the case. It provides no feedback as to whether it has been pressed or not and some genius decided to put the power-on indicator light on the right side of the case, so one must either wait 3-5 seconds (first world problem, I realize) to see if the button was actually pushed, or lean hard to the right to see if the power light has come on. For $50 more HP could have created an absolutely terrific value laptop by giving this one a decent case and keyboard. I would personally have happily paid the difference. I purchased a similarly-priced but different HP model for my daughter a year ago that suffers from none of the shortcomings of this model, so I know HP can do it.

Computer has Win 11. That is kind of a down. The computer operated well, was reasonably fast. The 12gig memory helps. I would not buy anything with less than 8gig. One thing I noticed is the touch pad left button had a bad feel. Goes lower than right side. Worked but seems to be a problem. I stopped Edge from auto start then there was screen problems. Text got big. Text got small. When selecting with mouse pointer screen changed. A little strange. Screen is not touch but looked pretty good. Build was good except for left pad key. Charged quick and battery life was good. Big issue was how Win 11 operated on this setup. I was not impressed. Seems like a lot of quirks. Was wondering if HP might need to work on their software also Microsoft. Both need fixing. Overall it is OK computer. Mine had some hardware and software issues. If willing to work with it then it will be OK if price is good.

It worked good for a year, changed the 4gb of ram to a 8gb stick. It worked well until one day it started not recognizing the 16gb of ram, instead it only recognized 8gb. It started shutting down ocasionally. It was pretty cheap when I bought it ($429) and I think this is a good pc if you are an average user. I study CS and after many heavy loads I think it got this damage.

Solid performer. Especially for the priced I paid for it. The only downside is that it came with windows 11 but that's to be expected and I'm meh about the OS since I'm new to it but I guess in time I'll learn to adapt. Can't complain about it having the latest OS out can't I? I snagged this during a sale for under 550 and it's really great for that price point. You can't get near this with 12G Ram installed.

Great laptop for the price. Bought this for online classes, its a snappy laptop. It can handle running a hand full of programs at the same time with no problem. The screen looks good, love the slim bezels. The amount of ram was also a deciding factor in this purchase. Has all the necessary ports 2 usb and 1 usb c. even sd card reader.

I really like this computer. I'm a casual gamer (nothing intense) and needed a step up after my two-in-one laptop finally broke. This computer is very quick, and I love the large screen. The build quality reminds me of older computers in a good way. It's sturdy and exactly what I needed.

This Laptop is one of the best purchases I made. It worked well and got the speed, and served the purpose. I love the camera; perfect for Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet—good storage and sound.
