A: The touch screen is optional... in that, you do not have to touch the screen. The keyboard is still 100% usable, as is the touch pad. (Or you can get a mouse instead.)

A: Yes. Has 2 RAM slots, one already populated with 8 gigs of RAM. Add another 8 gig RAM stick and you would have 16 gigs RAM. Or remove the 8 gig stick and put in even larger RAM sticks.

Q: Does the come installed with microsoft office and excel
A: It comes with a one month trial of Microsoft 365, which includes the Office apps, including Excel. At the end of the trial period, you'll need to purchase it to continue using it.
A: No. However, Windows defender works perfect and two competing anti-virus programs eats up processing time. Choose one or the other. Update the system when your are supposed to and don’t go to bad websites or open junk email. I have used defender for years and kept the unit up to date and it has been great.
A: It's a special high security suite of settings for Windows. The most obvious thing you'd see is that you can only download and install software from the Windows store. That's also the reason some people want to remove S Mode-they may want or need a particular piece of software that's no available in the Windows store, so removing S mode allows them to install it from other sites.
