I'm sure it's just going to take time to get used to this tray, but it doesn't seem to do it's part with the HP Sprout in getting a nice, full scan. It is partially the Sprout's issue of handling the ambient light. Overall, it's a worthwhile addition to the Sprout for those planning to scan a lot of things. Just be patient.

Bought it 2 weeks ago. Spend 2+ hours with HP .unit wornt calibrate . been promised several times new unit never arrived .if and once it works .looks to be something u must have if u will use 3d scanner .big time saving and accuracy improvement . HP claims no testing was done to determine life span of it. So will c if was well spend ,$300 or not after it finally runs

This base takes all of the work out scanning your objects. It rotates the object for so you can run the scan and focus on something else while it does its thing.

Can not wait to start using it with my Sprout and new CAD system to assist with modifying designs for projects I am working on.

This takes away slot of the tedious turning of the item for scanning
