I ordered a refurbished HP Elitebook from Best Buy and the order was fulfilled by Joy Systems. This appears to be a very classy refurbisher. I was having very bad luck with refurbished laptops getting blue screens, etc. until I ordered through Best Buy and Joy Systems. Happy with all; the laptop, performance, and battery life all are great so far, everything as expected. It has been 2 weeks. I hope it will last me many years.

This refurbished laptop from Joysystems/BestBuy came nicely packaged with care and with the power chord like the post mentioned. No physical flaws at all, and it has a nice retro look. Setup was easy as if it were brand new, but one big thing that bothers me is that the [m] and [n] keys do not work very well. They either don't write out the letter at all or multiple m's and n's appear. Other than that, everything is great.

This is my second purchase of this laptop, the first one I returned due to a USB port not working. Yes, I went to HPs website and downloaded all updates (BIOS etc.) but I thought it best to return it and try again. This second one works great, no issues as all so far. It arrived in as new condition, you wouldn't know its a refurb. Even the battery is holding a charge well and is rated at 74% health. Luckily, it's pretty straight forward to swap out later on down the road when it does need replacing. The hard drive health is also excellent along with the screen. All in all it's a pretty zippy computer with lots of RAM and a large hard drive. The build quality from HP is solid, no cheap plastic. Heavy Metal fans rejoice (even though it's a light laptop). The keyboard feels excellent, I'm typing on it right now. I also appreciate the backlit keyboard. Nice touch HP. I should mention that small laptops like this are getting harder to upgrade. Many new models have the memory soldered on the motherboard and can't be upgraded. This HP is just the opposite. All internals can be upgraded, and this will accept 64mb of memory. Hard drive, battery etc. are easy to swap out once you get the back plate off. Plenty of YouTube videos to show you how. All in all, a great value for the money. I would recommend to family and friends. Just don't get too sour if the first one arrives with issues.

I've been using the EliteBook for my college classes and engineering assignments, and it has been working well for me. The size works well for carrying around campus, and it fits easily on cramped desks during lectures. The processor and 32GB of RAM make multitasking smooth, whether I'm running CAD software or managing multiple documents and web pages for research. I haven’t experienced much lag with demanding engineering programs, and it offers ample storage for my files and projects. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is the battery life, it’s decent but could be a bit better for full days on campus without charging, however, I just carry a charger with me. Overall, it’s a powerful laptop, perfect for any college student.

Not my first laptop from JOYSYSTEMS but this one is hiccuping from the Get-GO. First the Good: arrived to store for pickup 5 days early. The chassis, screen, adapter and keyboard all look brand new except for a small 2mm scratch on the edge of the lid. The hardware all seems o be functioning normally and the battery test shows only 22 charges. Laptop did come with Windows Hello by facial recognition but the included Fingerprint scanner is not available for use.The hardware shows in the device manger but the driver isn't installed and wasn't updated with current onboard needs. This is probably due to it being a business laptop previously. I would have preferred the fingerprint scanner over facial recognition due to it's speed of use and physical biometrics/ fingerprint scanning is faster and doesn't need certain lighting conditions to work properly. The laptop also has a Smartcard reader port which the display pictures does not show and a port for a microsd which is covered by an internally fitted cap. Updates: the system needed a bevy of updates from Windows to drivers to BIOS which is interesting since imo updates would reflect whether system and hardware are working in tandem with current changes for older PC's? Now the issue or current state of device: during personal setup I've experienced no less than 5 complete failures of system operation. What I mean is the laptop ceases to function/ freeze in it's current operation and screen image freezes also, cooling fan also stops when this happens and cursor cannot be moved with touch-pad or connected Bluetooth mouse. Ctr-alt-del doesn't work to end a task, waiting for system functionality also doesn't work and must do a restart. This is a hardware issue I've come to find since I shrank the drive by 125Gb and installed a dual boot Linux Mint 22.1 system on the smaller partition and the freeze as explained above occurred twice during setup after install while syncing browser, signing into accounts putting a non-stressful load on laptop. I did receive and can concur that Joysystems sent a "Thank you for your purchase card" with note saying the system is backed with a 1 Year warranty. Will I need to return it. Otherwise, nice laptop at a reasonable price imo, your experience may differ from mine.

The EliteBook 830 G7 is a tough, portable companion for photographers—great for culling, tethering, and quick edits on the go. Bright screen and solid performance help, but limited color gamut, no GPU, and a small 13" display make it better as a travel tool than a main editing workstation.

It's a great laptops, it's super fast and I can do whatever I want, It's smallest than I thought but really pretty. I still don't understand how to activate the print bottom. The life battery is something that they can improve

I have never purchased a refurbished item before, so I didn't know what to expect. My HP Elite Book arrived in a timely manner. I opened the box, and it was packed in bubble wrap on steroids. I inspected the "outside" of the device and not a scratch on it. I opened the laptop and the screen was pristine. I thought to myself, "OK, I'm going to turn it on and then I'm going to find the flaw." To my surprise and delight I couldn't find a SINGLE thing wrong with it. There was one thing that wasn't as advertised, but it wasn't a bad thing at all!!! My PC happened to be touch screen, and as I said it wasn't advertised as such, so it was a nice surprise. I couldn't be happier with my product, and honestly, I think I will be buying refurbished from JOY SYSTEMS (via Best Buy) from now on. THANK YOU JOY SYSTEMS, GEEK SQUAD, and BEST BUY!!!!!!

Laptop appearance, ops and shipping prep excellent

The HP EliteBook 830 G7 impresses with its sleek design, robust performance, and excellent keyboard, making it a great choice for professionals.

I've had this computer for about two weeks and so far I love it. The small size makes it easy to transport everywhere. I had to give up the 10 key aspect due to the size, and that was hard, but do-able. The only down side is that this type of laptop is unable to do the alt+ keys. For example, if I want to make a Registered Trademark symbol, I can usually do alt+(xxxx) and it will insert the symbol. Now I just copy and paste the symbol into my documents. It's a bit more time consuming, but also do-able.

Compact and powerful. I bought this for and it has not disappointed me. I had been having issues with Microsoft Teams hogging memory which eventually lead to slowing down of my computer. Then accelerated to the dreaded blue screen of death. Since purchasing this laptop all my issues are a thing of the past.

Bought this one as a replacement for my daughter’s old laptop. Fantastic machine. It was delivered fully loaded and ready to go after the initial personal settings. Runs smooth. Moved around applications without issues. Good on the wifi side of things as well. Walked all over the house and maintained great connectivity. Get ready to enjoy your music if you have a good pair of headphones. Sound is great! Highly recomend this laptop.

I ended up buying this laptop for college this coming fall. My biggest fear was that it was going to look like it was just beat up and misused. When I received it in the mail, I thought that they messed up and sent me a brand new one. It runs and looks like it's a brand-new laptop. I love it! The only blemish that I was able to find was a very small scuff on the lid of the laptop, yet that took me a few hours to realize in good lighting.

The laptop functions as expected - great! Unfortunately they sent a defective charging cable with it that I had to exchange in-store.
