I have had this laptop for a few days now and have some preliminary thoughts to share. I am a very high end user who needs space and speed; I have to have 8 programs/apps ooen for just one of my assignments. I use Adobe products. And I have multiple monitors. PROS: Large, clear screen; fast speed; touch screen; webcam/microphone (privacy camera); nice dual speakers; love the # of ports (2 x Thunderbolt 4; 1 x HDMI 2.1; 3 x USB-A 3.2) the backlit keyboard (I really like the keyboard); nice battery life; Bluetooth, Wi-Fi connectivity; headphone jack; and lightweight. This laptop does NOT come with a CD/ROM (optical) drive, but an external drive can be purchased and attached.. CONS: It tends to get warm occasionally. It's not consistent and I would not let that be a deterrant, but I might use it with a cooling fan. The system is very MICROSOFT driven. (It does come with Microsoft 365, but I dont know if any of them do. I have a subscription, so I just transferred to this laptop from the old one. You can ourchase and pay monthly or yearly.) Those are really the only two issues I might have. This is a nice laptop with great capability and I'm looking forward to attaching to my docking station and using at my desk with a wireless mouse/keybaord! I would definitely consider if you are looking for a bew laptop. P.S. I dont game, so I cant speak to any of those capabilities, but I would think it's a decent gaming computer with the speed and clarity it offers.

This is my second HP. I love the 17” screen, Intel 7 processor, very fast, 1.1 TB storage, plenty of USB ports, and light. Love Windows 11, it finally allows me to use and monitor my IPhone. Best purchase!!

This is essentially the same model as my previous laptop which I've had for six years, or so. It still works, and this one with the larger screen, memory and SSD capacity promises to be an adequate replacement, especially since it was only $100 more than the one I bought six years ago. I'm happy to the extreme.

This computer is truly amazing I cannot say enough good things About this purchase. This computer is lightning fast and has amazing capabilities. All the staff at Best Buy were amazing and extremely helpful especially because I was being so picky about what I wanted to get but they help me find the. Right combination for my needs. The HP Envy 17.3" is a true workhorse. The i7 processor and 16GB RAM make everything run fast and smooth, and the 1TB SSD gives plenty of space with instant load times. The large Full HD touchscreen is bright, clear, and great for multitasking. Battery life is surprisingly strong for a 17-inch laptop, and the design looks premium and professional. If you want a big, fast, reliable laptop that can handle anything, this one delivers.

This is my second HP Envy (the first one was stolen) and I love the ease of setting it up, the capacity, and the slim, sleek design. Easy to tote around and work on location!

I love this computer. I wanted a hard-working device that can handle office workload as well as college work, and it is super-efficient. I am a big fan of large screens, and the quality does not disappoint. Due to its size, it is a bit heavy and not meant for portability, but that was perfectly fine for me. So far, so good.

Good touchscreen product, without DVD drive, at a fair price. However it has a design choice/flaw that some users will find serious, others not: The large touchpad is not centered under the J key rather than the G-H keys of the QWERTY keyboard )see photo, Thus, touch typists must either keep their right palm perpetually in the air above the palm rest or twist their right wrist awkwardly and uncomfortably to the right to prevent frequent unwanted touchpad touches. Other issues: Arrow keys need a tactile clue to let you know you're on them without looking, there is no NumLock LED so you have to use trial and error to see whether it's on or off.

I love HP! Out of all the other computers I’ve used this is my favorite. This is the second one of the identical computer that I purchased. The only reason I am buying another one is because I accidentally spilled coffee on it after having it for six years. I recommend HP and this computer in particular. I use it for my business and home use.

Fantastic computer! I purchased an open-box unit (HP Envy 17.3" Full HD Touch-Screen Intel Core i7 with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD Laptop) from Best Buy in Pittsburgh. They shipped to me in Ohio in a few days and it works perfectly! The only issue I had was it did not come with any drivers because when they cleaned Windows 11, they did not update it, so I couldn't do anything right out of the box, including get to Windows desktop. Windows 11 does not include even basic drivers and prevents the user from downloading them directly without jumping through hoops. I had to go to another computer and find the drivers, but that is a Windows issue, not Best Buy. It would be nice for Best Buy to include the drivers on a jump drive to make the customer experience better so the user doesn't have to go to YouTube to figure out the issue when first launching Windows 11. Also, it would be nice if Best Buy had made sure that HP already had my warranty accurately documented, I wouldn't have had to prove to HP that I bought this new. Imagine my surprise if I wouldn't have checked on the HP site! Other than those two issues, stellar purchase!

Love my laptop! Excellent picture quality. I had it for over a year and it’s still turns on fast and loads fast. I’m able to connect four monitors to it (updating monitors soon$ and easily disconnect it to take it on the go.

This computer is a valuable asset. As an accountant, this computer allows me to navigate through big programs all at once with ease. With the amount of storage this computer contains, organizing clients into the drives makes all the difference in the world. Highly recommend this computer to everyone.

Great laptop! Fast and efficient. Super easy to use! Love that it’s touch screen. This is my second one of this make and model. The only thing I would change would be the keyboard background lighting. The older version had the keys semitransparent, where you could see the letters glow. This version has the keyboard light up but not transparent.
