A: Thank you for the question. The RAM in the Envy 15-fh0013dx is onboard (soldered to the motherboard) and not user upgradeable. The SSD can be upgraded, and due to the location of the Li-ion battery, we recommend that upgrades be performed by a professional technician. CD drives have been eliminated from modern laptop designs since the majority of users receive content from downloading and streaming. However, you can connect an external CD drive - they have become very affordable.

A: Yes. I even play games on it and I bought it with the intention of college use. It’s fast and the battery life is really good.
