As a printer this is great, ink quality and scanner is exactly what i wanted. Not sure of the value beyond the subscription ink but item itself runs great as an at home printer

One of the ink cartridges did not work and Best Buy would not replace it even after I paid $20 for the extended warranty. So, I returned the printer and all. Best Buy has TERRIBLE customer service. I will never shop there again.

--- SETUP --- This printer was quick to set up. It is light enough for one person to carry. The whole device was shrinkwrapped and only needed one cable for a power supply. There is an optional wired connection port, but the cable for it is not included. Out of the box, it is only ready for a wireless connection. --- PERFORMANCE AND EXPECTATIONS --- This printer is excellent for quick jobs. My printer use has declined over the years, but I do need an occasional reliable printer. For over a decade now, after trying multiple brands, HP has convinced me that its printers are not only reliable, but combined with their ink subscription, they are also the most bang for your buck in terms of ink usage. Every time I get asked about printers, without hesitation, I recommend HP printers compatible with Instant Ink. First, let’s talk about this printer. I printed a full color poster, double-sided, and I was amazed at how quickly it printed. Next, I took the poster that I printed and scanned it. The scanning required me to download an app to my phone, but I already had the HP app. The app found my printer and I was able to hit scan from my phone, without touching the printer after placing the document on the bed. The scan was very high quality, and it automatically used smart features to remove the backside that bled through the scan. Next, let’s talk about the ink subscription known as Instant Ink. I’ve been using instant ink since its existence. Once I subscribed to it, I never looked back. I print a lot of colors because I have a side business. I make flyers to promote my dance classes and dance socials, and of course, color is more attractive than black and white. You can choose various subscription plans, but HP generously offers 6 free months of instant ink with this printer purchase. This means you can print unlimited papers with any color or black and white ink. The printer sends HP a notification that you are running low on ink and you get mailed new cartridges of ink before you run out. You simply put the old cartridges in the same box that your new ink arrived in and drop it in a mail box, as the postage is already pre-paid. I have saved so much money with the ink subscription, that it just doesn’t make sense anymore to buy individual ink. --- APPROVAL --- HP continues to be my go-to printer of choice, and this Envy 6165 is perfect for quick small projects at home or at a college dorm.

when looking for a printer you know HP has always been one of the big name in the market, their new HP Envy 6165 is designed to be the all in one home printer you would need that pretty much handle your everyday documents, scanning, copying or photos, also supports mobile printing. The Envy 6165 also supports wireless connectivity, a touchscreen. with mobile features through the HP app as well as support dor HPs Instant Ink srvice. they also have this marketed as an AI enabled printer. DEVICE & FEATURES Unboxing the printer HP Envy 6165 has very compact design so its alot easier to fit on desk or small home office. the look and design is modern and clean I love the hidden paper tray as well which gives that minimal look. from what I stated its an all in one printer, youre getting printing, scanning, copying. also supports mobile wireless printing which is handy that doesn’t require you to be on your computer to connect. this does support instant ink which a subscription based but the box gives you a 6 month free of use. we get 2.4 touchscreen, HP states it has print speed of 10 ppm black and 7 ppm color. EXPERIENCE: Setting up the HP Envy 6165 is fairly straightforward you get the main machine, the powercord ans you get ink cartridges inside the box. from testing the print quality with text was also great, tried the colored printing its good but color is not 1 to 1 from the main source it’s vibrant though. the cartridges are small and can easily run out easily specially if you printing colors alot, thats were HPs instant ink membership is there to help, but then not sure if ill be using the subscription like that. printing experience for me is honestly fine for normal household user. CONCLUSION: if you work around alot of paper working printing HP Envy 6165 might not be for you since its a compact printer I think this printer stands out more when you only print when you need it. I do appreciate HP for creating a compact printer that looks good and its easy to setup. the print quality id say its good enough for everyday documents or printing some photos here and there. the reason I said this printer might not be for some people it’s because the cartridges is small if one color runs out you dont have an option but to replace the whole cartridge. having the HP smart app is also convenient, you can either use Instant Ink or not but atleast you have options. if youre a high volume printing person this is not for you. overall great printer.

Product was easy to set up and use. It was a bit bigger than I had anticipated but it does what I need it to do. The wifi connection also helps as we do not have to be in the same room to send a document to print. One feature I really like is the hidden paper tray, so everything is neatly tucked away. It is a bit noisy when printing but the noise is tolerable.

HP has come with one of the easiest printers to set up that I’ve ever owned. It comes with three things in the box the printer, the wire and two printer cartridges. It’s that simple. This printer is great for a college student or someone who wants to minimize any sort of fuss. I didn’t think replacing my old printer would be so fun because I loved mine and it had multiple functions, but this is truly an upgrade and it looks beautiful. My experience with setting it up was top-notch because there was a QR code in the box that helped guide my set up. You’ll be led to a website where the process for setup takes about three minutes. It’s actually really cool. How far technology has come to make it easy for us to use. I should mention I did this all from my phone. I didn’t have to use an installation CD or download a huge file or driver which I loved. It was so easy. I opted to also install the software on my three home computers so that everyone had access to the printer immediately. It prints, beautiful pages in color and the skin function really is going to come in handy for scanning family photos and storing them in the cloud or a hard drive Overall, I am very pleased and would definitely get another printer for a home office and might even opt in for an upgrade next time since this was a more simpler printer than HP has to offer.

The HP Envy 6165 is supporting easy to set up and operate. The 2 page quick start guide made it easy to download the H. P app to my android phone using a QR code and voila, the system recognized my printer immediately. No wires. No mess. No fuss. Once the printer set itself up, it prompted me to apply for the Instant Ink Program with six months of free Ink to be delivered to my door step. Happliy the fresh ink arrived 3 days after I registered. Right off the bat, I printed several photos of a recent trip in several sizes and the HP 6165 handled them all with ease. Usually, I'm reluctant to print photos because of three heavy ink requirement, with this program. The focus is on pages printed, not ink consumption, so this is a terrific option. Additionally, I printed a user manual for a fairly technological app and equipment. The illustrations printed clearly with correct color. The printer controls work well and I can easily move the printer around my work space as needed. Love it.

Easy to set up, not too noisy, crisp print quality, only wish touch screen was more sensitive when selecting options.

The biggest surprise was the fantastic sale price. It is so much smaller than my old HP All-in-One, and takes up a lot less room on my desk. The set-up was easy, for a novice, and my neighbor used the scanner today for the first time, which took a few minutes, but this is the printer she would love to have, so she might be getting one for her birthday, this month. I wasn't sure if I would like white, instead of black, but I really like it better. The thing I didn't care for is, it's a bit noisy, and takes awhile to get going.All-in-All, I would definitely recommend the HP-Envy 6165 printer!!!

This printer is replacing my old HP Envy 6400. I love the fact that it has a small touchscreen comparing to my old HP Envy 6400. Set up is fairly easy. It probably took me about 30 minutes from unboxing to getting the printer set up with my home network and my devices. Because I already have the HP Smart app on my phone, it was pretty seamless with getting the network connection. The printer comes with a set of starter black and color cartridges. It also comes with 6 months of free Instant Ink subscription. If you're not familiar with Instant Ink, it's basically pay per month for x amount of pages. The plan is worth it in my opinion if you print mostly high quality 8.5 x 11 photos in colors. Because it counts by page, not by the amount ink used in each page. The only surprise to me was that the print set up page was counted toward my allowance and triggered the subscription to start. Other than that, this printer makes it easy to print from any device from anywhere with great quality. It looks slick and sophisticated.

We just had to replace an old HP all-in-one printer. I loved the look and size of this HP Envy 6165. It takes up less space than the older printer dead, and the white color helps it blend into my room for how small and compact it was. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the printing. Set up was also extremely easy. The only issue we had was it took a few days longer to arrive at our house than originally promised other than that I would highly recommend this printer.

This was easy to set up with very good print quality. It's not the fastest printer in the world, but I'm not a home office and it gets the job done for me. The scanner was something I needed, and this one is quite good. It's the same model as the envy 6155 but at a substantially lower price.

Product worked perfectly. No hard set ups, matched perfectly with my lap top. Fast printing. Color copies were nice crisp and clear. Happy with my purchase.

I purchased this printer for home use and am very pleased. It was easy to set up, has high print quality and is quiet. I noticed some reviews indicating it prints slow but for home use, the speed is just fine. Also, it has a fairly small footprint so it does not take up alot of space on my desk.

Great. Has crisp color and black and whit printing. Very quiet. Connection to HP APP was a breeze as well !
