The first thing that I impressed was the face recognition technology. It has very sensitive touch screen and high screen resolution. 8th generation i7 processor and 16 gb ram make it powerful enough. Does not need dedicated graphics card for most of the software and applications. Could be perfect with a 4gb NVIDIA.

My wife and I both have adapted to this laptop platform with no issues. It's fast, the screen is bright and clear, the keyboard is crisp and quiet. The wrist rest and touch pad took a few extra minutes to get used to. There's no more left/right buttons, they're integral to the touch pad. Speakers sound great, plenty of USB ports, the SanDisk card reader is great, and I really like the touch screen.

This laptop it is excellent for who is doing computer science, the screen 15.6 inch, it is convertible, can be lap top and Tablet and also touch screen. I am very happy with my purchase.

This is the perfect laptop! Beautiful screen/graphics, backlight keyboard for use in low lighting, and a numeric keypad. Not to mention the kickin’ fast Intel Core i7 8th gen processor! Oh, and the 1 TB hard drive - I can finally get all of my files, photos, songs, and everything else onto one internal drive. That’s why this is the perfect laptop!

I use this laptop do to 3dimensional drawings and renderings, so I wanted something that was powerful but wouldn’t break the bank. I run Autodesk software and it runs really well. I def recommend this laptop! It’s been great!!

Excellent battery life and picture. Sound is average, but just connect to your favorite bluetooth device and your problem is solved.

My last computer was seven years old from HP. I am very happy with everything my Envy 360 offers with the new office programs.

Love that it is slim and sleek. Starts up real fast.

I bought this for my mother, against her wishes, because I thought HP was a better brand now and seemed like a premium product. Turns out that after about 6 months of light usage, the hinge broke off in the bottom left corner of the screen, making the back part of the laptop and the screen to slightly separate. Again, this was for my mother, who lightly and gently used the laptop. We shipped it to HP for warranty and of course they denied it was manufacturer defect and refused to fix it. To fix it they would charge $600.00, which is more than half what the laptop was worth! If you search HP forums, you see this isn't an isolated incident. I'm not going to buy any HP products again.

This is a really good laptop, well constructed, thin, light weight and packed with features: Weight - It's fairly light weight for what it is. Sure there are some that are lighter, but not with a 15" screen and a full keyboard. Resolution - The resolution on the monitor is sharp and clear. The display is pretty nice, with a relatively thin bezel, about a 1/4" on the sides and about 1/2" on the top. Connectivity - There are 2 high speed USB ports and an additional USB-C port. It has an HDMI port for connecting an external monitor/TV/projector. WiFi - The WiFi connectivity is great. I have a good router, but my old PC had trouble maintaining a connection. This PC has a fantastic antenna (evidently) and with the wireless AC, it always has a fast connection. It has Bluetooth connectivity for connecting a multitude of external devices like mice, keyboards, external speaker, headphones, etc... There is no Ethernet port, but that also helps to keep the overall thickness of the laptop to a minimum. I purchased a USB-C adapter with 3 additional USB ports + Ethernet. The keyboard is back lit, which is a nice feature to have. It also has a separate numeric keypad. Speed - this laptop boots up pretty quickly, has plenty of memory (16 GB), and plenty of storage (1 TB). Obviously, if it were equipped with an SSD, that would be faster, but the 7200 rpm hard drive seems to be pretty fast. It came with Windows 10 Home but I upgraded that to Windows 10 Pro so that I could connect to my work network, etc. It didn't seem to have too much "bloatware". It does have Office 365 pre-installed, which prompts you for a free trial, but I had that already. It also has a free Dropbox trial which pesters you, but I just logged in to my existing account and that message went away. I never went back to see what the "HP Jumpstart" software would do for me, but I've been using computers for 25 years and am pretty sure I didn't need whatever it did. For work, I use it to run multiple applications and also virtual machines for various tasks. You have to enable hardware virtualization support in the BIOS for that to work at peak performance. Once complete, I have no issues running whatever I want. The tablet mode is useful I suppose. For me, I can only imagine a limited use of that feature. It's there if you need it, but it makes for kind of a bulky tablet. My complaint - I use the function keys as they've been designated on most PCs since the 90s, mostly for their intended purposes. This PC has them mapped to special features like music control, display brightness, etc. To get to the "normal" function keys, you have to press the "fn" key and then the function key you want. This is backwards. And extra confusing since I have an external keyboard that I use some as well and it's mapped the other way. Overall, this is a great laptop. I don't use a PC for gaming, so I can't evaluate it regarding gaming performance.

At the time of this review, I've had this HP - ENVY x360 2-in-1 laptop for 3 1/2 weeks. I wanted to really use it for awhile to get a good feel for it and test it out. I've also attached two pictures. The one with the dog is my personalized photo shopped wallpaper of my dog. Rest assured, the screen is not over colorized, it's just the way this particular picture is. The 15.6 inch screen produces beautiful HD images in 1920 x 1080 resolution. In my other picture it shows the layout of the keyboard area. The color of this laptop is Natural Silver and the body is made from aluminum. The laptop has Windows 10. Inside we have the Intel Core i7 quad core CPU, 8MB of memory, 16 GB ram, 1TB hard drive running at 7200 rpm, graphics are provided by Intel UHD Graphics 620 and two speakers that are provided by Bang & Olufsen. It has a 3 cell lithium-ion battery that seems to do quite well. I've watched a few movies while traveling using my external hard drive and did not suffer any problems with a drained battery. I plug the laptop in after each use to keep the batters at full charge. The keyboard area is pretty much standard laptop layout. The keys are the same silver color as the rest of the laptop. They are also back lit in white for easy typing in low light conditions. There is a camera with 3 camera lights, 2 internal microphones On the left side of the laptop, you have 1 HDMI output, 1 USB 3.1, power switch and a combo headphone / microphone jack. On the right side of the laptop there is 1 USB-C 3.1 that you can use as an alternate charging hook up or connect and adaptor to hook up any type of regular USB item. Another USB socket for a total of two on this laptop. A SD Card input so you can download items from an SD card from a camera for example and the volume control button. There is not a Ethernet connection on the HP for internet connections, so wireless will be 802.11ac and it also has Bluetooth for streaming audio or transferring photos or other data between your phone or other Bluetooth electronics. There is no optical drive, so any software or other programs will need to be downloaded from a USB, portable hard drive or wireless. I really wish it had an optical drive as I could watch movies from my collection for example when I go on a trip. As far as operation goes, this computer is very fast at whatever I do with it. The Wi-Fi connection is terrific and have not had any problems even when it's quite far away from my router. I use a wireless Logitech mouse with the sensor plugged into one of the USB ports rather than the multi-touch touchpad. The HD screen is also a multi touch so you can use your fingers or a digital pen to draw using Windows Ink. While I did try the touch feature to navigate, I really don't care for it as I don't like fingerprints or smudges on my screen. I don't have the digital pen, so I can't comment on that for this exact. laptop. But I have used it on another HP laptop and it was a great feature. My niece loved to draw using it. I've also watched a few movies that I have on a portable hard drive and the picture quality was outstanding. Using the built in speakers with the Bang & Olufsen Audio did not produce very good sound. I used my Bose wired headphones and that produced very good sound. If no head phones are available, the built in speakers would be ok. But really, on any laptop there just is not any room to put in decent size speakers that would sound decent. It comes with the industry standard 1 year warranty. Overall, I'd give this HP laptop 4 1/2 stars out of five. But since I can't do that here on the reviews, I'm giving it a five overall. I would highly recommend this HP laptop to others. In fact, one of my co-workers liked it so much, he bought one for Christmas.

I bought this for Black Friday and i must say its a good buy and i like it but its not perfect. Pros: --- Things i liked --- 1) Looks Good and the charger is stylish and very compact. 2) Good keyboard & Bright back-light - Yes its a key low travel but to me its better than my cousins's Dell Inspiron 7000 in terms of key feel and sound. Does not feel as shallow as the dell it has substance which i like i would say maybe its a 1.3 to 1.5 mm travel and the keyboard lighting is bright and even. 3) Cool - its a cool system for the most part i have not gotten it to get hot just slightly warm. 4) Quiet-ish Fan - The fan is always on but very quiet if not unnoticeable at low to moderate speeds. It can get loud but only if pushed hard and its not a annoying whiny or loud sound, its more like a soft woosh sound that's way quieter than my outgoing XPS 15. 5) Screen - The screen quality seems nice decent blacks colours seem nice to my eye and i appreciate how dim it gets for when your in a dark setting. 6) Sound - Sound quality is good its decently loud and does not deteriorate in quality when put at 100%. To be fair nothing can compare to the 20W 2.1 JBL speakers in my old XPS L502X i mean dell hit gold there but its decent sound with some base and its clear i would say that HP's tuning of the audio with the Bang and Olufsen needs to be a bit better but i'm impressed with the audio in this think of a package. 7) Battery - The battery life seem solid for me it varies depending on what apps are running we all know chrome sucks the life out of your PC but i get between 5 to 6 hours use more depending. 8) Speed - Its a fast PC but that (rotational) mechanical hard drive holds it back upgrade to an SSD and you will be spoiled. Cons: --- stuff i don't like --- 1) Hinges - The hinges on this laptop are weak and to me lets it down. It;s one of the reasons it not perfect for the price as the screen tends to wobble when touched or if typing on an uneven surface. YES it gives you ONE HAND OPENING but its weak i would like it to hold transpositions like almost closed and past 140 degree open . 2) High Glare - I am not sure if to say the screen is dim or there is just not Anti-reflective coating on the panel but yea if watching movies or viewing dark images you will see yourself quite clear . I would suggest to get a matte or anti-glare screen protector for out door use and to disable Intel's Display Power Saving feature as it dims the display even more when dark images are on and adjusts brightness a lot to save power . To my eyes the screen is sufficiently bright and on white or bright images you don't see yourself but just be cautious other than that its a good LG screen #LGD056E. 3) Number Pad- Yes i said its a good keyboard and it is but the con here is no notification light to show if NUM LOCK is ON or OFF and there is no onscreen notification either. Come on HP even Dell/Lenovo gives you a LED for that or a little onscreen icon / popup saying Num Lock on/off. Nit Picking & recommendations for the next model HP --- 1) Charging - Yes the laptop tells you its the WRONG CHARGER but the reality is its not. The issue here is that it was a bios error it happens people please go download the updated bios and dont review the laptop negatively for it those that did come on a little research and google would have helped you ... its kind of lazy to expect a product to be perfect even phones have software bugs and people still love them smh. 2) Touch pad - Touch pad is good feels nice and smooth just wish HP would use Microsoft's Precision Drivers and maybe make it a little bit taller. 3) Ambient light detection - I think HP missed out on this. I would prefer if my screen and keyboard lighting adjust and turn on automatically dell does it in the 7000 series which this competes with. Also HP 2 stage back-lighting for the keyboard should be an option. 4) USB - one more USB 3.1 would not hurt. 5) Speakers - i think notebook manufacturers need to find a way to get awesome sound bass included in these thin and lights. 6) This machine from HP can cross $1200 one thing HP should consider is on models that have only a NVMe SSD bump the battery capacity up to a 6 cell 65 or 70 Wh battery. Overall its a good machine and the points i have raised are not deal breakers. It just keeps this laptop from being perfect @ its regular price and DELL does do some things better aka Hinge stability and the ambient lighting. If Best Buy has this model on sale go for it its worth it. I did upgrade mine with a Samsung Evo 960 250 GBSSD *see image* - ram is under the silver shielding next to the SSD. I did not open then part to see if there are indeed to ram slots but the bios does say there is a free ram slot i'm not sure. PS Will update this review should any issues arise etc.

Do you want people to be envious of you? Then this might be the laptop for you! With a price tag close to a thousand dollars, you certainly have certain expectations and requirements. This is a Windows 10 laptop with touch screen, which means you can also use it as an "oversized" tablet. Here's my experience with both modes: In laptop mode, I experienced a comfortable and responsive keyboard. I truly enjoy typing on this keyboard, and on a 15 inch laptop, the num pad is a huge plus. The touch pad on the other hand, does have some response issues, mainly when clicking, not tapping. I prefer clicking over tapping, and I don’t like the fact that it doesn’t always respond to my click. It will though on the second try. The cursor can also be slightly inaccurate. When you move the cursor to a word and click, the blinking line appears one letter to the left of where you clicked. Tablet mode works fine. The touch screen has been very responsive so far. I prefer using “regular sized” tablets over a 15 inch 2-in-1, but I can see how this can be the preferred mode for certain programs and games. I like to keep the screen free from fingerprints so I have not used tablet mode much. Design - It's a nice looking computer. It’s sleek, and the silver color which is pretty much becoming the standard color for laptops, looks good. The screen resolution is 1080p which isn’t as impressive after using a MacBook Pro Retina for five years, but the color reproduction seems accurate and apps and videos look great when looking straight at it, not so much from the sides. Small text doesn't look spectacular, but it's legible. Audio - When you receive this laptop, the box and the laptop itself advertise the Bang & Olufsen speakers. Laptop speakers in general are mediocre so don’t expect much. I’d say they might be slightly above average but I expected more from them because they make a big deal out of the name. It's no bass, all treble! But that shouldn't come as a shock! Specs - 1.8 GHz i7 processor and 16 GB memory is decent for internet browsing and simple apps, but I wouldn't recommend this PC for gaming, certainly not modern titles. A gaming laptop needs a lot more power which again is gonna cost more. Look elsewhere for that! I had no problem setting it up to my home's WiFi and watching YouTube videos and visiting websites is a smooth experience. You can log in with your face and that seems to work most of the time. Last thing, it does not include a disc drive, so if you're looking for a way to watch DVDs and Blu-Rays, you might want to invest in an external disc drive.

I have many different uses for this laptop. The connectivity for wireless to a smart TV or other devices works better than ever especially with the Intel I7 8th Gen Processor. I needed the 1 TB HDD especially for Music Production as these can be very large files and will also create a huge demand on the processor. I also use for cover art creation and general purpose. The reason for the 4 out of 5 stars is due to a few things I would change. A backlit keyboard with silver colored keys can be blinding. I would have preferred a bronze or titanium colored keyboard. The rest of the LT can remain silver. This PC is packed with all the necessary goodies and then falls short on speed with a HDD, I would have preferred a SSD even if it was only a 256 GB capacity. The over all design of the laptop is appealing and with 2 USB 3.1 ports and 1 USB C port and still having an SD card slot still make this a desirable Laptop with current features. It would be nice to see a infinity edge screen, maybe in the near future! The battery life so far, I have found to be excellent, lasting me the entire day depending on my use and settings. The battery also charges very quickly.

The HP Envy 360 x exceeded my expectations as a laptop. Coupled with the Bamboo Stylus it doubles as a tablet seamlessly. As you fold the Envy into the tablet position it asks if you would like to enter tablet mode and does the reverse as you move it back to use as a laptop. The processor is very fast and responsive and the screen is very bright with great color saturation. It has a very heavy sturdy case and feels very durable and the screen hinges have just the right amount of resistance to hold the large screen solid at any angle I choose.All this at a great price that makes this computer the right choice to replace my laptop and iPad Pro combination I have been using previously.

There’re a lot of choices out there when it comes to laptops/2 in 1 computers. When we buy a computing device, we want to feel that we made the right investment that is current with technology and will last a few years. I’ll get straight to the point and say that the Hewlett Packard Envy 360x is a brilliant convertible laptop. Past doubts and issues that I’ve had with previous laptop/touch devices have been erased because of my Envy and what it can do. HP (Hewlett Packard) made a SOLID device. I was impressed as soon as I removed it from the box. I have always enjoyed what is labeled “modern design”. From architecture to electronics, I like the sleek and clean designs. The Envy is that both opened and closed. The brushed metal look is accentuated with the backlit keyboard. The touchpad is big but somehow, HP made the touchpad not overly sensitive like I have experienced with both standard laptops and two in one device. There’s nothing worse than writing a paragraph only to find that the cursor was moved due to my palm grazing the touchpad. And if you’re accustomed to using a 10 Key keyboard, the Envy has got you covered. Another welcomed feature is the 15” HD display. With other devices, screen size ranges between 11 and 13 inches which might not sound like a lot but as someone who watches a lot of Youtube, Twitch, and digital movies, the reasonably sized display is most welcomed. Even if you’re simply using the laptop for writing or browsing the web, the display is sharp and clean. I even linked my Envy to my Xbox One and the display quality was fantastic. The Envy uses the Intel Core i7 8th Gen processor and allows for fluid transitions from using Word to Netflix or opening up the Cuphead game and playing it on my Envy laptop. This is a fast laptop that allows for multitasking without pause. Speaking of transitioning, when I decide to watch a digital movie, I fold the screen backward all the way (tablet form) and the Envy simply goes into full-screen mode. If I want to browse the web, the touch screen quickly registers my input and allows me access to the virtual Touch keyboard which is just as responsive as the physical keyboard. The Touch keyboard leaves little room for mistakes and has the comfort that you would find on both Surface or iPad devices. The Envy has two USB ports, one Type-C USB access, and one HDMI cable access. I have mixed feelings regarding the fact that there are only two full USB ports but that’s because I’m used to at least three but the tradeoff is worth it for this impressive device. The battery life for the Envy lasts around six to seven hours for me as I browsed the web, used the Word program, switched to watching a movie and then watched some Twitch streamers. Speaking of movies, I have to admit that I was impressed with the speakers on the Envy. You have the option to easily turn off the backlit keyboard but I honestly don’t know if that has a huge impact on saving battery life. And finally, I was really relieved to find that the Envy doesn’t heat up to an insane temperature while resting on my lap. The reason why this was a relief is that my last device got REALLY hot when resting on my lap. If you’re looking to upgrade from your current 2 in 1 device or are buying for the first time, I believe that the HP Envy will make you feel good about your investment.

This HP Envy laptop is nicely designed and reasonably powerful. The touchscreen works well although Windows 10 still isn’t completely comfortable for navigation with finger access. While it’s a fine laptop for use in normal mode, the design concessions for enabling the tablet mode causes some issues. Namely, when in laptop mode, the lid is not completely stable when touching the screen. When in tablet mode, the whole unit is too big and heavy to easily use as a tablet. In other words, if you use this as a laptop with occasional touch access on the screen, you’ll be fine. If you regularly want to touch the screen rather than use the trackpad or a mouse, expect the screen to wobble quite a bit (plus needing to clean the screen frequently). If you’re looking for a good tablet, there might be better options that are strictly tablets or those with detachable keyboards. This HP Envy laptop is not really comfortable with the screen folded back and the keyboard exposed. Plus, it’s not very light when held as a tablet. The speakers are good enough to get by without having to connect external ones for personal listening. The backlit keyboard is a great feature, but the keyboard backlighting bleeds quite a bit as shown in the accompanying photo. The included AC adapter is one of the smaller ones I’ve seen and the cables are nice, but there is no real cable management so you just have to velcro the two wires into a bundle when not in use. This is a handsome laptop with nice specs, but is best considered as a competent laptop and not a dual-mode tablet, too.

This computer reflects the new design language from HP. It looks more modern with sharper edges, and it looks great right down to the new HP logo. I usually don't like silver keys on a silver computer but here it works. The contrast is enough to make the keys easily visible. The screen is 1080p and it is sharp and vibrant. It is reflective but not to the point where it hinders visibility, even in bright light. The B&O speakers are loud and clear. Watching a movie or video is a pleasure. The computer comes with 2 SS USB and 1 Type C port. It also has a memory card slot and a headphone jack. There is no optical drive. The hdd is 1 tb and 7200 rpm. Windows Hello facial recognition is incredibly fast, almost instantaneous. Battery life is rated at 10 hours. I have only taken it down to 35%, but based on my usage, I think most people will make it thru a day, though maybe not the 10 hours. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes to go from 35% to 100%. The flexibility of the 2 in 1 form factor is great. I have used it as a laptop, tablet and in tent mode. When you first setup the computer I recommend the following: 1) Uninstall the McAfee Security Suite. This will allow Windows Defender to turn on and it will protect your computer. I have used it on all of my computers for years with no issues. It is free, will not slow down your computer and will not ask you for a subscription. 2) Go to Settings>Updates and install all updates. My computer came with the first Creators Update, version 1703. You must update that version first, the restart your computer. Then Install The Fall Creators Update, version 1709. 3) Install an ad block extension, from the Windows Store, to the Edge Browser. You will be surprised how fast the Edge Browser is when ads are being blocked. The only negative is that i wish HP had installed an ssd in such a highly spec"d computer. I would definitely buy again.
