I’ve been using the HP Docking Station G5 for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly impressed. Setup was incredibly easy — just plug it in and everything works instantly. I’m running dual monitors, keyboard, mouse, Ethernet, and even charging my laptop all through one single cable. It keeps my desk clean and my workflow super smooth. The build quality feels solid, and I’ve had zero connection drops or lag. It’s perfect for working from home or switching between the office and remote setup. The transfer speeds are fast, and I love that it supports multiple devices at once without overheating or slowing down. If you’re looking for a docking station that’s reliable, fast, and hassle-free, this is the one to get. HP really nailed it with this model. Worth every penny!

This docking station makes connecting multiple devices simple and reliable. It works seamlessly with USB-C laptops, offering multiple ports for monitors, peripherals, and charging. Build quality feels premium, and setup was quick. My only wish is that it ran a little cooler under heavy use, but overall, it’s an excellent productivity tool.

This was a good upgrade for my home docking. I had been having issues with video resolution and my work laptop, but my personal laptop was fine (both Dell). I decided to try upgrading my old dock and selected this device. It was completely plug and play, and resolved my vide resolution issues completely. It has plenty of connectivity options and supports multi monitors if needed.

Good product for the price, sleek design and nicely compact. My only concern with it is the lack of USB-C ports (only 1). Most electronics use USB-C nowadays, thus i rarely get any use out of the 4 USB-A ports. Nevertheless, it works as expected with my HP and Dell laptops; and no issues connecting to my external monitors. I would recommend this product for use with a Windows-based PC only. I would not recommend this product for use with a Macbook computer. MacOS does not support multi-monitor displays to be transmitted/connected via 1 USB-C cable, so you can only use 1 external monitor with this dock - if you have multiple monitors connected, it will only be to able to mirror the displays rather than extend them.

I bought this to be able to connect my three TVs and use them as monitors for my laptop. Trust me this is the one that you want to buy. Don’t go through Amazon like I did initially and keep ordering the wrong thing. Best Buy had this one on sale for a great price and I had to get it and I’m so glad that I did. It’s been working seamlessly for me to screen to screen along with having all of my other gadgets such as my mouse and headset.

Overall, soild choice for laptops. It allows for either net connection, it has extra usb ports, it comes with an extra power supply. Its pretty awesome

Got a new laptop, screen was fuzzy. Old laptop worked perfectly. Attributed to docking station which was old. Pulled up bestbuy.com and bam, the new dock was in stock, and on sale. Ordered, picked up and plugged in. Simple plug and play. Was up and running in 30 seconds. Best Buy saved the day. I spend more money here than I spend on my wife.

So, my work just refreshed our hardware for a wfh position. Needed something for additional monitors. This thing works like a charm. Power button on the top to power up the laptop, easy to connect. Hardest part was figuring out which monitors were which.

Eaay setup, multiple display ports, extra hdmi port, long usb-c power

This docking station relieved my frustration with cables and switching cables with my laptop. Everything worked great with the peripherals. The only issues I had was the power button on the docking station would not wake up or power up the laptop and sometimes on startup, the monitor would refresh once but then stayed on. Otherwise, this was a great addition to my home office.

I WFH and the Dell docking station my job provided sucked. I ordered this HP one and it’s been amazing. Very durable and easy to use. Highly recommend.

Great product, bought for home office. No issues, easy setup

Got this docking station to go with my new laptop in order to connect various other peripheals that my laptop could not accommodate. I currently have my high speed ethernet, printer, keyboard, and external DVD drive attached to the docking station. On original setup, I also had my 24" monitor attached, but saw pretty quickly that the monitor would freeze every now and then, so I connected the monitor directly to the laptop to fix that issue. The only issue that I see every now and then is that I will lose ethernet connectivity to the laptop when my internet router and ethernet are perfectly fine and working - I am assuming due to some lockup with the docking station. Overall I would rate this docking station as good as it provides extra peripheal connectivity but does have a couple of limitations.

Works great paired with my HP laptop. I using it with one monitor and 3 USB devices connected. I like that it comes with a substantial power supply that not only powers the docking station but also powers the laptop. This has cleaned up my desktop greatly.

This thing is the 2012 Honda Civic of docking stations. Is it going to get you laid? No. Is it flashy? No. Will occasionally refuse to work with high end aftermarket parts? Yes. Will it slogbthroughbeverybdaybeitybyouband never complain and require almost no maintenance or love? Also yes.
