HPLaserJet software takes very little time 2 install!! And u get high quality printing on larger print jobs!

I purchased the HP - LaserJet Pro m402n Black-and-White Printer for my home office. The quality of the laser jet printer is great fro my home office. The price is not overwhelming and its size fits my office quite nicely. Speed is good for small print jobs and letters.

We bought this mono laser printer to replace an inkjet printer that besides being old, the ink dried up from infrequent use and it stopped printing. No amount of troubleshooting helped. The laser is perfect because we don't need color so it has just one black toner cartridge that won't dry up. Set-up was seamless, the printer works great and the size was perfect for the 2-drawer cabinet it sits on. Also a great price for a laser.

Great quality printer at reasonable price. Printing is fast and quality is good. Easy to use. Very dependable. Toner is reasonably priced as well.

This is a really great printer. It is fast and efficient. It has not caused any problems and we have never had a paper jam.

Good price for a basic network printer. Prints fast, easy to setup on the network and appears to be quite reliable. This one replaces an older similar printer that has served us well.

I have about 4 of these at the office where I am the IT Manager. It's a great and inexpensive printer for an individual office. It's a relatively small footprint and not very loud. I almost always end up having to use HP's Universal Print Driver to make it work. This isn't really a big problem, but I wish HP would fix this issue. I've gotten to where I just use the UPD by default now. Other than than, I highly recommend this printer, it's a really nice printer for the price!

purchased this printer to replace same printer that we've used for 2+ years. We use it to the max printing several thousand pages a month. Lasted longer than we anticipated - so trying another one to replace it.

I held on to my old HP Laser 4000 LaserJet for far too long. It was a workhorse in its day but I began having networking issues with it. Paper jam problems. Strangely, some PDFs made in FileMaker would take 8 minutes to print and others would come out immediately. Too much aggravation and wasted time! All those issues went away with this new printer. It is QUICK! Easy setup. I print docs from my iPhone. Still haven't figured out the envelope procedure, though. If I put an envelope in the manual tray, and then try to do a print job, it doesn't "see" the envelope. So, I pull out the envelope and put it back in and it prints instantly. As a Mac consultant, I've set up other brands of laser printers. One dumb design flaw of some printers is when you want to close the door to the manual tray, you have to move the paper guides for the envelope feeder in able to close the door. Which means each time you want to print an envelope you have to reset the paper guide. Annoying! You don't have to do that with the M402n. The M402n is hardwired to my network. Excellent print quality. Appears to be very low energy consumption while in standby.

Needed a BW printer for a number of things that I didn't want to use our inkjet for. This one works great. Easy setup, easy to use. HP quality laser. No complaints, and glad we picked it up.

I needed to replace a broken printer, found this HP LaserJet Pro m402n on SALE. Small, lightweight and fast for a small office printing needs. Can’t go wrong for less than $200 for a brand new printer.

Didn't read the packaging very closely. Positives:Fast Printer, sharp, handles stacks of envelopes in the manual feed tray and keeps track of print job when the feed tray is empty and won't reset to the beginning like older models. Negatives: No AirPrint, No double sided printing (???? this is standard on any printer today) no WiFi connectivity only ethernet. So If you need to put this printer somewhere in your office you better make sure you can get an ethernet cable to it discreetly. I primarily use this to print long run jobs and from computers in the office so i put up with the shortcomings.

This is the best printer I have ever owned. it is fast and easy to install. I have gone back and purchased two more. You will love it.

Though printer setup wasn't quite as easy for me as explained (and I still print without wireless connections, so a linking cable had to be bought separately), the unit - once running - performed quickly and quietly. The almost-endless life of the toner cartridge is a great break from ink-jet cartridges drying out before being emptied. Additionally, turning in a practically new Epson printer (which had fallen far short of the performance promises) helped defray the cost of the HP!

Can't say much about this printer. It works as intended and does so very quickly. It's reliable as a daily printer for basic black and white documents including making tabs and envelopes. It's a solid printer and I think it's also reasonably priced.

Prints fast...works great. Easy to install. Wish it had legacy outputs to connect two machines at same time.

This printer is dependable, easy to install/use, great print quality. We have several in my office and never have any issues. Our system requires an older print driver than what is the default for this printer; HP support was very helpful.

This printer is able to quickly print black and white paper. It works as I expected. Easy to manage.

Followed the easy setup instructions and was printing in no time. The printer is fast and print quality is very good. I like that it goes into sleep mode. This model has a very good price right now.
