The laptop has been really good considering it was a open-box product. Pros: 1. The display is crisp and not grainy for the ppi it has 2. Expandable RAM and 16gb that comes with the laptop is decently good for gaming if not great. 3. The build quality is as good as it could get. 4. The GeForce 3050 card gives 40-50 FPS on a power brick for a game like EA FC 24 on optimal settings. Cons 1. The battery life is rather unimpressive, I get an average of 3 hrs per full charge for just casual browsing. 2. The boot speed feels somewhat slow compared to my previous MSI GF-65 Thin from 2021 which just had 8gb RAM and a 10th gen i7. 3. The speaker shrills at a decently high volume which doesn't make sense when HP claims to have used B&O.

I've had this computer for over 2 years now (give or take) and it's been incredible. It keeps up with work, gaming, easy to type on, has many ports to connect to my headphones, mouse, cooling pad, and then some, and it has great graphics. Only a few things about it give me some grief, it doesn't have the greatest speakers, but if you're using headphones or an external set of speakers then whatever, and it gets hot quickly, thus the cooling pad. Otherwise I'd by this computer again for a portable gaming/work laptop.

I get 13ms of response, even with wifi. the computer is really fast, in every way. on startup, loading games e running. battery goes out fast, need to be plugged in all the time doesn't get hot, with the 2 fans, even playing for hours. really good amount of USB ports, for additional peripherals. I use external keyboard, mouse and headphones. not the best gaming laptop, but is more than enough for all games that I tested ( doom, CS:Go, the witcher, Hellblade) would recommend, for anyone that want to play for competitive and is not a professional player.

VERY attractive design! nice colors on the back-lit keys, beautiful wide-screen, nice black case with sleek symbol on the back, EXTREMELY fast, GREAT quality and performance, can handle Adobe Creative Suite (I make digital 2D/3D art and animation), all these quality features at a VERY affordable price! Would definitely recommend to a friend!

This is a great gaming laptop, the only downside for me would be the weight since it can be a bit heavy. speed and display are good but the brightness outdoor does lack. great amount of ports that are essential aswell as trackpad and keys are great. I wish the speakers were louder and wish it had more bass, (I mean why not, it is a gaming laptop).

Good gaming rig for the price. I found this laptop to be just what I needed; nothing crazy over the top, but can run things well without issues. One thing to note is how fast battery can drain without running off of outlet power. Performance is also hurt when doing this, though, you really should be running off of wall power in the first place on a computer like this. Still runs fairly when in a pinch though. Overall, this isn't the latest and greatest, with these specs, but is still a worth it buy, especially if you can snag it on sale.

This boss is a beast! Great display, speed and performance. Gets a bit hot in the middle of keyboard. I bought the Targus Dual Fan Chill Mat Coooooling system. Seems to help!

The laptop is great. It has been really good for VR gaming. It does run hot sometimes so I recommend a pc fan which I’ve been using from time to time. The computer it self has a lot to provide and hasn’t completely fallen apart on me quite yet. So far it’s taken most of what I do on it for work & play. It’s really good for video gaming or just your normal computer activities like watching movies etc. So far the laptop has worked for me until I can afford a new full ox tower.

I did a lot of looking around for a gaming laptop and decided on this one. Set up was easy, graphics are bright and crisp, audio is good. The battery life sucks so I keep it plugged in. This thing gets hot even with a cooling fan on it. I recommend getting a really good and powerful fan. Normal use like browsing isn't bad but playing games it heats up quick. Tested games like Apex and Warface- no lag or screen issues. Will be trying VR with it but haven't done it yet. I was a bit nervous buying it with only 11 reviews at the time but it has surprised me with how smooth it runs. Not having 10 key really bothers me, should have been included. I almost got something else because of it. Overall I highly recommend this laptop but if low battery life and heating up a lot are a deal breaker, pick something else. I got this on sale for $1100, would not recommend to pay full price because of the flaws.

We needed a setup that can edit videos and photos while on the road. With the 16GB of Ram and NVidia graphics, it is performing above expectations. It has a solid build and the ventilation keeps this beast cool for the duration of our heavy editing sessions. The fans are surprisingly quiet compared to most in the class. 144 hz viewing is nice and smooth and we have found ourselves playing some intense and demanding titles while enjoying streak free and proper motion blur. Very nice system. No regrets here.

Great laptop for gaming! I debated getting this Omen laptop over a desktop and I'm glad I went for the laptop. The display is really good. Only draw back is the fan noise... It's loud! But it's not a big deal after a little while. You get used to it. I would buy this line again.

I love this laptop it is amazing. The battery life is good and so are the graphics. However it is a bit heavy if you’re planning to carry it around (i mean it is pretty big lol).

Purchased this for my wife who was really in need of an upgrade to her old laptop. This was a massive step up in nearly all categories. It's blazing fast and runs games and programs with ease, which was expected given the specs. But it isn't perfect. Pros: - Awesome Internals for $1200 Sale Price - Super Fast - Ligh-up Color Keyboard - Easy access to numerous ports - Comfortable Size - Adjustable refresh rate Indifferent: - Quality feel but no real premium accents - Only a 720p front camera - Haven't really stress-tested the battery Cons: - The 1080p LCD isn't all that impressive - No full number pad Overall, we are happy with this purchase, as the positives far outweigh the negatives. Though I do admit, I would have had a much harder time pulling the trigger at its current nearly $1500 price point, especially if we could have seen it in store with its lackluster LCD. But she has it where it counts in nearly every other category, which is why I still would recommend it to others.

This laptop is simply amazing. The 14 core processor lived up to all of my expectations. I have an Omen 15 with an 8 core AMD processor that has excellent performance. This new machine completely outperforms the previous version.... I am able to create a development lab on the laptop using multiple virtual machines running enterprise databases with no lag time. Even Windows virtual machines are highly responsive with this processor. I highly recommend this laptop for any serious database developer

I bought this to run multiple trading software packages with two external monitors. Blazing fast running Fidelity Active Trader Pro, Trading Ideas, and several chart tabs open on Tradingview all with high data traffic. I also have Xfinity running live TV, Twitter etc running. Great performance laptop especially for the $.

I bought this laptop to replace an older Dell desktop and I'm extremely impressed. Hit the power button in the morning and I'm on the Internet before I'm even settled into my chair. It's very quick and efficient and setup out of the box was painless. The laptop itself looks nice and the construction feels sturdy. It can be prone to fingerprints, but I've yet to see a laptop that isn't. I plan on using this laptop for everyday browsing and music recording software. I'm not much of a PC gamer, but I wanted something that would allow me to play games if I so desired and I plan on hooking this laptop up to an external display and a set of speakers. The only real nitpick I have is that it doesn't have a webcam cover, but stick a piece of black electrical tape over it and you're done! This is the first time I've ever owned a computer made by HP and I've always heard good things about their products. I'm definitely a believer now!
