So disappointed! broken after only one week.

It literally died a week after I bought it. It was performing pretty good, but randomly the RAM or SSD, not sure which, died..

I ordered two of these (one originally and return for another), both of them died due to motherboard failure and corruption. Now best buy is fighting my return. Every review about the computer being dead on arrival is 100% right, I should’ve listened! Be better than me and don’t make the same mistake, these things arrive broken. DO NOT BUY!

GPU Power and Fan Cycling

During periods of inactivity, the graphics power unit, fan and lights turn on and off randomly. The computer never fully goes into sleep mode. I currently own other HP computers and this condition never happens. Multiple attempts by HP customer service could not fix the issue and I agreed to close the case unresolved. I have spent countless hours searching the Internet and trying many suggested fixes with great frustration. The most effective solution is going into the computer power configuration and registry to switch from Modern Standby (SO) to Hibernate (S4), as traditional S3 sleep mode is not supported. To be fair, I think that some responsibility for causing this fault should be on Microsoft as well. On the hardware itself, the Omen 35L is the perfect size and look for my desk and executes my programs well. However, during high graphic intense use, the back of the case and/or high fan speed makes a noticeable rattle. Not ideal for my first premium gaming computer.

Unrecoverable boot disk error after setup

I already owned similar amd hp omen so felt confident in purchase. Setup new pc, updated windows & drivers, disabled power/sleep settings for gaming performance, download 2 games from Xbox live, went to lunch and found pc frozen, had to hard power off, then unrecoverable boot disk error, I attempted windows/hp tools to correct/reset/reload clean OS but sdd was dead. Returned.
