Let's start with the experience and the product itself later on. I bought an open-box item from BestBuy and had to pick it up from Issaquah, WA since they had the availability. Out of the box, I just got the PC itself without any accessories (not even power cable, but they did provide a laptop charger, which was as you guessed, not useful at all) when it's mentioned that open box with excellent condition comes with accessories or suitable replacements. When I asked about it in BestBuy customer support, they assured me that I can go to "any" BestBuy location and ask for the accessories. When I did that, they said the only option I have is to return this item and purchase a new one, otherwise, I can try the laptop charger (which was 65W) lol. They also said the global support is a completely different department that they don't even have confidence in. When I asked for power cables in BestBuy store, they didn't even know what a PC power cable was :/ and pointed me to USB C cables and phone chargers, which was so disappointing to see. They're supposed to guide and educate buyers on products? Anyway, I ended up ordering them on Amazon and got it delivered the same day. Please do check before you take delivery. Now, coming to the product itself. It runs like a dream! This spec is perfect for 1440P gaming with framerates anywhere above 60fps for most games and 120+ for some of the older games. GTA V runs at 120fps with RT enabled. After researching PC parts for a couple of months, I couldn't find a better deal than this even for a custom build. And the 50 series GPUs are not really impressive and won't be available in MSRP for quite some time. I didn't face any setup or driver issues as mentioned by a few others; it was a rather quite straightforward setup (Windows has come a long way). Only gripe I have with this config is the 1TB SSD capacity. You might want to increase it to 2TB+ since most modern games are 100GB+, so you can have a max of 6-7 AAA games. Overall, kudos to HP for a good pre-built PC with enough spec to handle 1440P gaming at a decent price.

Absolute Beast of a Gaming PC Flawless Performance! I recently purchased the HP OMEN 40L Gaming Desktop (AMD Ryzen 7 7700, RTX 4070 Super, 32GB DDR5, 1TB SSD), and I am absolutely blown away by its performance. From gaming to multitasking, this machine handles everything with ease, delivering buttery-smooth gameplay and lightning-fast load times.

Got this open box in excellent condition for around $1650. The 4070 super is a great card. I can play in 1440p with max settings with over 100 FPS easily. Can even do 4K gaming over 60 on most titles. The Ryzen 7 7700 is a very capable processor with 8c/16t and isn't bottlenecking the gpu. Comes with a great choice of RAM. I upgraded the air cooler to a Corsair Nautilus 240. That was extremely stressful as the motherboard uses Intel mounting architecture for some reason and the capacitors are extremely close to the pump so they stand offs rub on them. 800 w power supply and a custom b650 motherboard with Wi-Fi. Really good price with the inflation and scalperss making it impossible to build a PC. RAM speeds are great but you need to hit esc at boot, go to advanced, and enable EXPO 1 to get the 5200mt/s speeds. Otherwise they run at 4800mt/s. The case is surprisingly nice with lots of tie off points and easy access side, front, and top panels. Included peripherals are cheao garbage. Lots of IO on this board which is great.

This computer is great, if you are a videographer and deal with heavy footage it does get stuck for a second on premiere but then continues hasnt crashed fully on me yet but for the price this desktop is very solid, as for gaming it also pretty solid.

The HP OMEN desktop is a solid choice for gamers and creators alike. It boasts powerful specs, customizable RGB lighting, and effective cooling. With its strong performance and sleek design, it's a great option if you're looking for a high-end gaming rig. However, it can be pricey, so consider your budget before diving in.

Very good PC. Only gripe is the motherboard and future upgradability. According to documentation from HP you're only able to add a maximum of a Ryzen 9 7900. No possibility of using any sort of X3D CPU really holds this PC from being fully upgradable. Other than that it's a very capable system especially when it's on sale.

When on sale for $1500, Get it. otherwise wait. 1. Call Of Duty DMZ FPS: around 140-200 with lowest graphics 2. Fast, handled multiple application open at a time with no interruptions. 3. Easy to clean with a push button on top to release the glass. 4. For a first computer it is great! Although I did return it because of the RGB lighting and HP Gaming HUB.

I will start out with saying I usually prefer building my own custom PCs as opposed to buying a prebuilt. However, given the current market for PC parts, this PC turned out to be a better deal while on sale. As a gaming computer, it works just fine. There have no major issues with the computers performance and recommend it if a sale pops up. However, there are some weird things to this PC. The Omen being a prebuilt with Omen branded parts lend it to being specifically made for this all in PC. Which works great as an all in PC. But, if you plan to upgrade this computer in the future, you might encounter some issue. For example, when looking at swapping out the standard fan cooler with an old A/IO cooler for the CPU, I noticed that neither the AMD or Intel brackets fit. You would need specific brackets for this mother board. This is not the only strange thing I have found with the motherboard specifically. Another thing would be that there are not pins for LED indicators for the power switch. It is not a major issue. it makes sense given that there are no LED power indicators on the PC. Just another slightly strange instance. The only other negative that I see, is that there is no switch on the back of the power supply. I have had the computer turn on when plugging it into the wall. If it were to happen frequently, It may cause issues down the line. Overall, this PC works pretty well. It hits performance that is about equal with other PCs in its bracket. However, if you intend to upgrade or replace parts in the future, it may be worth looking elsewhere.

I think the power this holds is very amazing, its cool and minor issues Now, my issues with this is. The side panel doesn’t want to come off, and I need to get this checked by a technician. If that wasn’t an issue it would be 5 stars.

The HP Omen 40L is a powerhouse that excels in 1440p gaming, delivering buttery-smooth performance without breaking a sweat. What's impressive is how it stays cool under pressure, never getting hot during intense gaming sessions. Plus, with its reliable name-brand components, it's one of the best pre-built gaming PCs you can get your hands on.

What a machine for the price. I've always liked HP products and I was looking to upgrade my "Gaming Machine". When I saw the specs on this computer and given the price I thought I'd give it a try. No disappointments whatsoever. In fact I brought a second one.....

I love this computer. Its the first computer ive ever had that I can play my favorite games on ultra settings. Also, the price dropped almost $300 dollars just a week after I bought it and Best Buy refunded the difference to my card thr very next day.

I was going to build a new gaming computer, but this one had all the specs I was planning, and cost less than the parts to build it. Worked without issue out of the box.
