This is overall a very solid pc, especially for the price. I mostly play games on 1440p, and so far I’ve been able to get at LEAST 60fps on anything I played. It absolutely shreds games like resident evil village on 1440p, ultra settings and ray tracing, I get around 150-200fps. But while playing this game my CPU sits at around 81-83 degrees Celsius which is technically no problem but it is kinda hot. I added noctua fans at the bottom of my case shooting upward and replaced the radiator fan and exhaust fans, and I’ve noticed about a 10 degree Celsius difference. Also if you are looking to make some easy upgrades cooling wise, check out DanKamYouKnow on YouTube, his tutorials are great and will be able to show you how to do some upgrades. Overall, I would recommend this PC for the price, even if some upgrades might be preferred.

I purchased this when it was clearanced at $1,300. I work from home and remote into a work PC for a 3D modelling/draftsman job. My job doesn't require a higher tier gaming PC but I wanted something that would still be suitable 5-10 years down the road (my previous PC was 7 years old). I loaded Halo infinite online and COD MW2 remaster beta to test it out. FPS and performance is great but under heavy load the fans run LOUD and my CPU temp. was averaging around 85C. I have since replaced the rear 92mm fan with a Noctua NF-B9 Redux, the front intake fan with a Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM, as well as placed an additional Noctua NF-S12A PWM in the bottom of the case for secondary intake. It should be noted that the front intake mounting screws are not compatible with the NF-A12x25. HP seems to use maybe M4x0.7mm? Either way I have lowered temps under heavy loads by 10C and significantly reduced noise from; changing to Noctua fans, the addition of the bottom intake fan and by lifting the case off the ground another few inches with a tower stand. I am now playing the COD MW2 beta online (Ground War) with average CPU temp at 72C and average FPS around 120. I followed tips from DanKamYouKnow and Jeff the IT Guy on Youtube to make these changes as well as some alterations to the fan curve, CPU and GPU performance. This PC is a great starting point if you get it for a good price. This case wasn't designed with the best cooling in mind and some alterations are necessary to get great not good performance out of it.

Best Value i could come across with tons of time exploring options. GPU alone was about $1500. Not a fan of windows 11, when in sleep mode The Omen wakes up randomly. I believe it's due to window 11 (network adapters & wake timers are off). Airflow I've seen worse as I always monitor temps in game. I do run fans on turbo (doesn't bother me). I have been playing warzone the GPU temps avg 65 and below (in Game). CPU Temps idles kind of high 50-59 & in game 75-80. Overall when making a purchase in this market beggars can't be choosers. I bought this as a secondary pc and would recommend it to a friend or anyone getting into pc gaming.

I’ve had this exact prebuilt for almost 2 years now. It hasn’t given me any problems at all. It plays almost all games that I’ve personally played on max or ultra settings while still maintaining a great fps. I play mostly competitive games like counter strike or warzone and I get over 300 fps on cs2 and in warzone anywhere from 160 to 200 fps. I would recommend one hundred percent. I will be getting another omen prebuilt eventually down the road just from the pure experience that I’ve had so far as this being my first pc ever.

I bought the HP Omen with AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, 16GB RAM, RTX 3080, and 1TB SSD last March, and it has exceeded my expectations. The liquid-cooling system keeps it running smoothly during gaming and video editing. I'm happy with the stock setup and highly recommend this high-performance computer.

Cooling is absolutely horrible. Expect to reach 90+ Celcius for the Ryzen 7 5800x when gaming and expect the GPU to follow in the 70's. The motherboard is useless and you're not able to change speeds of fans or the water cooler. The RAM they provide is out of date and not sold anywhere anymore. The power supply is generic trash. The ONLY good thing in this build is the 3080. Do yourself a favor, take the 3080 out and sell the rest of this junk.

Pc has great specs just added 2 fans using a 3 way wire splitter. My idle temps at 38c cpu and 31 gpu, while running warzone i got the cpu at 68c and gpu at 70c i messed with the fan speed and msi after burner. It is worth getting with the right tinkering.

My son loves this computer, he had a hp omen with a gtx 1660 super and worked amazing then upgraded to this pc and it a huge improvement

Bang for the Buck no issues. Save a bunch of headaches with the pre-builts from Best Buy 5star

I wish I could return this pc. Supposed to be a nice gaming pc especially for $2000 and I have 1gb fiber internet so I know that is not the problem. Computer lags constantly, after I play five m and a server restarts, I have to restart the pc. I can’t even watch a YouTube video without it being choppy and the sound cutting in and out. The computer gets extremely hot and I have the side cover off with a fan on it because it gets incredibly hot. Honestly do not buy an omen pc I’ve had nothing but issues and regrets of spending money on this thing. Should have went with a different brand.

Let me start by saying that if you’re coming to PC gaming with little to no experience and coming from console, this isn’t a bad PC. If you don’t plan to do any upgrading that is. If you’re at all experienced with PC’s and PC gaming and do plan to upgrade anything other than adding additional Ram or storage this isn’t the way to go. Loads of proprietary. What I mean by that is the only thing non HP in this machine is the Hyper X Fury Ram and the Cooler Master power supply which is Gold rated, however not even semi modular. Even the 3080 features an HP cooler. It does feature expansions slots for additional storage options which if great but that’s about the only easy thing about this PC in terms of upgrading. I wanted to do a case swap, which shouldn’t be a big deal but it is. Everything including the motherboard is built and placed inside the case almost as if it were a console. The motherboard is not at all traditional and once I removed it from the case I realized that some things including the reset switch wouldn’t work with that motherboard. The big issue I ran into that ultimately ended with my purchasing a new motherboard is the aftermarket AIO I purchased physically couldn’t work because of their proprietary AIO bracket. Also forget adding cable extensions to clean up the look of the cables. There is zero room to work with in this case. Basically, because I wanted a new case for better airflow. The only components that came over from this machine was the GPU, processor, ram and the SSD. I could’ve used the power supply but at that point I figured I may as well upgrade that too.

I caught this beast for $1650. At the same time the RTX 3080 was going for $1500. This was a deal I could not pass up. Paired with Totaltech. I have no worries!

Amazing! Great ventilation, and liquid cooling. Only drawback is the extra NVME slots aren’t on the motherboard, they are connected by wires that run to the front of the case, and are inconvenient to mount. But over all amazing machine.

It was like buying a RTX 3080 at scalper prices on ebay but getting a Ryzen  7 5800X CPU, HyperX 16GB 3200 MHz RAM, a 1TB M.2 SSD, and a Cooler Master P/S for a few hundred bucks more (at least back in December 2021 when this was $1999 and scalper prices were high). Overkill for 1080p gaming at ultra settings. Now I feel the need to spend more money and buy a 1440p monitor. System exhausts a lot of warm/hot air - I hope this means the cooling is working properly. Wish it had an extra intake fan or two. There is no additional mounting for extra fans. The 120mm rad doesn't look like it can be replaced with a larger radiator. If I had an extra $1500 to waste I'd spend that on an equivalent NZXT BLD or ORIGIN PC etc. but with better case cooling (again, IF I had an extra $1500 to burn). I will probably migrate main components to a case with better cooling in the future. Has some serious sleep issues at the start - system would not go to sleep as expected after pressing the start > power > sleep. Applied Windows 11 cumulative update 2022-1 and it seems to have fixed it (also ensure bios was updated using the HP Assistant software). It does wake up on its own bit I could not find reason (powercfg /lastwake shows nothing), then goes back to sleep by itself after some time. 2nd M.2 mount is beneath the 3080. So I needed to remove the brace and the card and then install my 2nd M.2 but it was easy to do since I had experience building my own computer. So quality: *** 3 out of 5 stars. Would be 5 of 5 if it had better additional fan or at least additional fan mounting for better cooling. Value: ***** 5 out of 5 stars. It was an easy no hesitation decision to purchase this at $1999 back in December. Rewarded with extremely fluid stutter free 1080p gaming at ultra settings. Downside is this makes me want to by at 1440p monitor now. Ease of use: *** 3 out of 5 stars. Sleep issues as mentioned earlier. Additionally: Sometimes required unplugging power supply and plugging it back it to wake when it did go to sleep (physical power button did not work). Looks like the windows 11 2022-1 update has fixed this, but to soon to tell as I just applied it last night (1-18-22). Overall **** 4 stars out of 5: Though I think an additional fan or ability to upgrade cooling (larger rad, additional fan mounts) would help and sleep issues was a pain, the system provides a rewarding, delightful ultra settings gaming experience we have waited for so long. If you don't have access to a 3080 or 3090, this is probably a good consideration for purchase. Looks like there is also at 45L that's coming out but at a significantly higher cost. To make it 5 of 5: Additional fan/mounting for additional cooling. Fix sleep issues out of the box.

I received an open box from best buy it stated it was in perfect condition and when I received it, it was heavily damaged the case was broken and some ports were dead.

Stoped working hasent even been 2 months yet would not suggest anyone ever buys this pc!

Bought this as an open box for $1800, a killer deal considering the current prices. Condition was listed as “excellent” and was indeed excellent. I concur with other reviews that the case (mATX form factor) is noisy trash with poor airflow and small noisy fans, despite looking nice. Would be easy enough to transport parts to a new case since all parts are (mostly) standard (not proprietary to case design). Motherboard is mATX and comes with a WiFi card. It has a very limited bios function and is very barebones. The overclocking and other advanced options are controlled through included proprietary Windows software. CPU watercooler seems to work well and is unbranded single-fan CoolerMaster. Not sure who makes the GPU but it’s a 3080 with a three-fan cooler, so who cares. RAM is 2x 8GB and the advertised speed must be activated via the Windows overclocking software. PSU is non-modular CoolerMaster 750W Platinum. The inclusion of a 1 TB SSD at this price point is really good deal. Overall I’m satisfied with the system, but I would agree with other reviews which criticize case design and motherboard function.

When I first started testing out the PC, I was a little concerned about temps, especially with the CPU. I was idling at 60-70 Celsius at times, after a little undervolting I brought the idle temps down to 40-50 and only ever get around 75 while running stress tests. The GPU runs nice and cool at stock for me, so no worries there. This was the cheapest 3080 build I could get my hands on with solid parts so I'm pretty happy. If the cooling setup was a bit better this would easily be 5 stars

It’s good for the price, especially in the given market. It can run a little hot, but nothing too dangerous. That being said, I felt obligated to install another fan and faster RAM. Biggest con is the bios software being mostly locked by HP. I can not set a custom fan curve without downloading extra software. Bios problems have also ruined sleep mode to the point that it needs disabled. I expect these problems to be fixed with updates, but it’s certainly taking some time.
