I bought this HP OmniBook 7 Flip primarily for grad school/research and have been very happy with it so far. The Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD provide more than enough performance for multitasking. I keep a bunch of browser tabs, research papers, MS Office, data files and other programs open at the same time and the laptop remains very responsive. The 16-inch touchscreen and the 2-in-1 design are some of my favourites. A handy feature for reading research papers, reviewing presentations, or taking notes is the ability to switch between a traditional laptop and tablet mode. Having the bigger screen also means I have enough room to have lots of documents open at the same time, without constantly having to toggle between windows. I like the design overall too. It has a big screen but still feels small enough that you can carry it from home to the lab to campus. 1 TB SSD gives enough room to store research files and software. The 32 GB of memory is a big reason I chose this config. There are a couple of things I would still improve. A 16-inch 2-in-1 is naturally less convenient to hold in tablet mode than something smaller, and I'd never say no to even longer battery life for full days on campus. But for my use case the bigger screen and performance is worth the trade off. Overall it has been a very capable laptop for grad school, research, productivity and just daily use. I would especially recommend this for students or professionals who need good multitasking performance as well as the versatility of a convertible touchscreen laptop.
