I have had the HP Omnibook Ultra 14in laptop for a couple of weeks now and so have formed an opinion - overall it's a solid product with lots to like and few quirks. It's good enough power to use on the go especially with if you are not a fan of always connecting to power outlets like me. Surprisingly feels lighter than a MacBook Air, guess due to weight distribution on account of a slightly larger footprint. Real test will be reliability over time. What I like about it: - Build quality - the forged stamped aluminum chassis is not only great to look at but feels solid in spite of how light weight and slim it feels. And love the steel blue color and how it catches the light. I was unsure about the sharp metallic edges but they don't bite and add to the premium feel. - The 3K OLED screen is beautiful. Angle away from direct light as it's glossy. Make sure to turn on HDR to fully utilize the 10bit panel. - The keyboard and mouse are good for this slim profile. Had to tinker with the haptic settings to get the touchpad to my liking. - The RAM (LPDDR5X 9533MT/s) and Drive (PCie5 NVMe) are fast. In fact, this is the first windows hard drive that is faster than my mac. - The Snapdragon X2E is delivering the promise of Windows on Arm - it's quiet, cool, responsive and all this with excellent battery life. Fortunately, I have not hit any compatibility issues so far but it's still early days. I do recommend checking the common software you use before purchasing. What I dislike: - I have to start with the bloatware from both HP & Microsoft - enormous amount of crapware which took me hours to cleanup and still hear could come back on Updates. It almost ruins a great machine. - Would have preferred a Tandem OLED as what they have updated the EliteBook. - The biggest stumbling block is the price as definitely on the higher side in spite of what's offered - suggest to look for BestBuy Open Box Excellent stacked with their frequent sales.

I bought this device to replace a Dell laptop that was beginning to have issues with managing Zoom meetings at the same time I had other applications open to support what was happening in the Zoom meeting. The OmniBook solved that for me and the issues I was having before are not happening anymore. I love the light weight of the device and it works great with the HP Hub that I bought to go with it. It connects seamlessly to my dual monitors, when in my office and then works fine when not connected to the hub, while out of my office. The 3 USB-C ports are nice to have. It would have been great to have 1 USB-A port too, but I purchased a USB-C to USB-A converter that allows me to plug in USB-A peripherals, when I need to out of the office. Overall, everything is great.

I can’t say enough great things about this laptop! Battery life is next level while giving plenty of computing power. The oled screen is stunning. I you want a premium portable laptop with high build quality you can’t go wrong here!

The HP Omnibook Ultra 14 with the Snapdragon X2 Elite processor is a thin and light premium laptop that is a great for general productivity. I purchased this 14-inch laptop for the low weight and portability of this form factor. The build quality is solid and feels great in the hand. Unlike my last laptop that has all USB ports on the left side, this laptop has USB ports on both slides which helps with cable management as I can plug in the power cable on either side. I had no issues with running older programs that are not compiled for the ARM instruction set and thus are running through emulation. Online reviews indicate that the Snapdragon X2 Elite laptops are some of the fastest windows laptops available, but not for serious gaming. For serious gaming, a dedicated gaming laptop should be considered. But since I am not a gamer, this is a non-issue for me.

I was in between this and the Slim 7i aura, the snapdragon blows intel out of the water and for the first time ever I prefer this keyboard and trackpad to lenovos. The quality of the machine is amazing.. the only thing i would change is the speakers to fire upwards please.. and the limited swivel of the display, it needs to do 160-180 to make it more useful. But these are minor tradeoffs, just get this machine and it wont fail.
