A: Hello. Thanks for your question. No. The all in one computer plugs into the power outlet. An HP all in one computer has combined the monitor and computer tower into one with speakers, microphone, and webcam built-in. The only things you would need to do is to plug in are the keyboard, mouse, and power cord.
Q: Do I need an external DVD/CD for this PC? If so, what kind is recommended?
A: Yes, you would need to use an external USB disk drive on this model.
Q: Whats the difference between this and last years model the 27-d0014
A: Hi Sam, thank you for asking. This model is the 27-d0244 Touch screen All-in-One desktop. It is presented with Windows 11, and the 27-d0014 is presented with Windows 10, however, it can be updated to Windows 11. The 27-d0244 has a 1TB SSD, and the 27-d0014 has 512GB. The 27-d0244 is Twinkle Black and the 27-d0014 is Sparkling Black. All other specifications are equal.
A: There is no dongle in the box, not needed for this PC. That spot in the box will always be empty. You do not need to plug anything in for the mouse / keyboard. I just put batteries in both keyboard and mouse (turned mouse on) and booted up the computer. Everything connected. If it's like other All-in-one's I've taken apart, the 2.4ghz dongle is actually inside the PC. It's not Bluetooth. If you're still having problems, try taking out the batteries and re-inserting them after the PC boots. Make sure the flat end of the battery is at the spring end of the compartment. Try different batteries if you haven't. When I turn on the mouse there is a white indicator on the bottom that lights up for a few seconds - at least you can tell you have power then. No indicators on the keyboard though.
Q: Can the Geek Squad upgrade the OS?
A: Yes, they can. They'll be able to give you a price to do the upgrade.
Q: can you plug in another monitor to this all in one
A: Yes, you can. The computer has an HDMI output on the back.
Q: How many total USB ports does this computer have?
A: Thank you for asking. The Pavilion 27-d0244 All-in-One desktop has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-A 5Gbps signaling rate (Battery Charging 1.2) on the side, 3 SuperSpeed USB Type-A 5Gbps signaling rate on the rear, and 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate on the rear.
A: Thank you for the question, apologies for the confusion. The HP 27-d0244 All-in-One desktop does have an IR camera. Per the specification: https://support.hp.com/rs-en/document/c07868202 Webcam: HP Wide Vision 5 MP IR privacy camera with integrated quad array digital microphones.
