Q: Does this computer vent from the bottom or sides?

Q: can touch mouse pad be turned off? I have a computer currently that cannot be and it drives me crazy. I bump it while typing and it makes my cursor jump and deletes entire sections that I have typed.

A: Yes it does. But the LCD screen is defective. It suffers from back light bleeding. Dell cut corners on the quality of the hardware components. If you haven't bought this yet, don't do it.
