Hp has surpassed my expectations. It is compact, light weight and easy to use, One thing which makes it stand out its competitors is the battery timings. Since its purchase, I had to charge it for only one time which was recommended after opening. I could not find the exact battery timing. I have used it for my Mid Term exams preparation for the last ten days. In my point of view, other competitors must learn from Hp in ergonomics, light weight, battery timings and compactness, Hp has done an extremely wonderful job. I would recommend the product to every graduate student and researcher.

The HP Prime is probably geared towards more advanced mathematics while the TI calc. seem to be made more for the high school and early college students. I would say I definitely prefer the HP Prime in terms of speed of processing commands, the ability to adjust the graphing window quickly with the touchscreen, and the library of built-in functions is much more robust. Although this HP it's a little bit cheaper than the latest TI, it's clear that they decided to put more focus and money into the hardware of this amazing calculator.

Outstanding calculator! Once you get the hang of it, it is much more intuitive than TI nspire CX CAS. Excellent programmability. The touch screen is more useful than I thought. Runs circles around its competitors. I am _very_ happy with it and glad I did not go with Numworks or any of the TI calculators. I purchased the G2 (latest version as of 2019) from a local Best Buy store.

It seems a bit daunting at first, but it’s intuitive and amazing what you can do once you figure it out. This calculator is way faster and more capable than any calculator I’ve ever had. My only issue is that the calculator’s cover that slides on is a bit tough, but I suppose that doesn’t really matter. If you need a calculator whether you’re a student or professional, this one’s it!

This calculator has been way better to me then the TI Nspire Cx2. It actually solves the problems almost the exact way they are worked out on paper and gives rhe proper units and everything. Makes the algebra far simpler then the Nspire with the variables and functins. Would recommend if you are willing to try it.

The HP prime is an excellant calculator. It has a solid feel (both case and keys). It unfortunately has somewhat of a learning curve, but the time is well spent for what you recieve in exchange. Go to the HP web site and you will find a good owners manual in PDF format(website address should be somewhere on the package or here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-prime-graphing-calculator/5367459). Save the complete package card that comes inside the plastic package(it has an official HP authentication seal and the serial number for the calculator. Go here https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-prime-graphing-calculator/5367459 to get the HP connectivity kit if you want to save your work/programs to a pc. Although there is not near as much web published educational tutorials as maybe the CASIO SG 50, you could probably adapt some of that to the HP with a little thought. The HP Prime is a excellant tool for science and engineering (and probably math) I am just beginning to explore the engineering possibilities....

In this computerized world with online calculators, ask yourself: what would I do if the internet went down, or if my area was without power for an extended period of time? If your work depends on computation, an engineer, say, could you carry on your job? Stand-alone solutions to carry on critical functions include pocket calculators, slide rules, etc. Hewlett-Packard developed the first "slide-rule" handheld calculator in the 1970's, and they have updated and added to their calculator lines as time marched on. Although Texas-Instruments has provided significant competition, HP calculators remain state-of-the-art. The HP Prime calculator is excellent for students, engineers, and anyone doing day to day calculations. The upgraded HP Prime model, the G2, has even faster rendering on the screen (one of the fastest hand-held calculators in this respect). The calculator has been extensively reviewed online, has few flaws, is very well designed, has a very long battery life, has good online support from HP, okay documentation, and is a pleasure to own. You won't be disappointed.

I do not remember how long I bought this calculator. However, what I can tell you is that I have not had a big problem with that, yeah sometimes it could lag because of heat or other things that could have gone on. The thing is that it has worked well and efficiently for probably two years or more and when I got it I didn’t think it would be that worth it. But I have had a few scientific calculators that don’t last and I wanted a graphing one that was worth it, one of my friends recommended it, I bought it, and I am very much happy with all the settings since I can use it for higher level math that I am taking now in college. Very worth it

It's wonderful to use. It's a lot better built than the Ti-Nspire CAS. It's app system is fairly straightforward. The biggest issue I have with it is that it's instruction manual sucks, there's a LOT more to this calculator than the manual leads on. A lot of tinkering is required, but most of the apps are surprisingly intuitive. You do have to reset it about once a week and clear your work when necessary because it does tend to lock up once in a while. Some of the apps that you can install on it are really awesome, there's apps that will help you in every chemistry course apart from organic, and there's a myriad of physics apps that you download for it.

Compared to old HP 48g, easier to use for formulas but more difficult for trigonometry functions. The basic screen font is small. The cover is easy to put on, difficult to remove. Still, it does it’s job amazingly well even though it may be harder and less intuitive to learn the function.

Ok, for starters. The build and finish for this calculator is superb and I feel this would last me a lifetime. Only drawback is that it’s extremely hard to get out of its case but that’s me nitpicking. As far as calculating goes, its pretty cool. It solves derivative’s and much more. Although, I’ve had this calculator for some time (4 months). I still haven’t used it to it’s full potential because it can DO ALOT! Nonetheless, it’s worth the price and plus more. All in all, 10/10.

This is the finest calculator that HP has produced and what TI should have produced for their Nspire line. The quality of construction is exceptional and reminds me of my first HP calculator the venerable HP41CX no longer in production. The keys on this calculator are the best possessing nice travel and tactile feedback (satisfying mechanical click). The color touchscreen is a very nice touch good clarity comparable to the TI calculators that also enables you to maneuver graphs vice having to constantly click a t-pad like on a graphing TI. All in all a very satisfying purchase.

I have had programmable calculators starting with the TI-57 and more recently a HP 50g. All great calculators and useful for an engineer doing technical work. This calculator is a mechanical and visual delight. Everything works, and there are numerous third party software that can be loaded. For education there is a classroom system that manages students calculators.

Excellent buy for upper level math students and teachers! I love the touchscreen and display. I own many calculators (somewhat of a collector), and this is my new favorite and go to. In comparison to Nspire (CAS version) it's must faster and the graphs are more dynamic. I wish schools would switch to HP as their calculator of choice versus Texas Instruments. Beware traditional Texas Instrument users, there will be a small learning curve to switch to this calculator, but it will be worth it. My favorite functions are the designated buttons to easily select CAS or RPN.

It’s a great calculator with wide range of versatility. The only con for this calculator in my opinion is lack of videos on it. Compared to other graphing calculators this doesn’t have many videos to help guide the user on how to better use the calculator. Though it’s still extremely good if your looking for a top of the line graphing calculator.
