HP has always been my favorite and this 7603 printer does not disappoint. Decent print speed and it has all of the features like copy, scan, print and fax. Plus it has the smart ink tank which saves on ink costs. This was easy to set up and get running. HP software is also very good.

This printer is a superb choice if quality and cost per page is important to you. The HP 7603 Smart Tank Wireless All-in-One Printer is a very reliable, feature-rich but inexpensive, easy to use device which will economically and quietly print large quantities of documents at an excellent quality level. HP Inc. is the personal computer and printer unit spun off from the original Hewlett-Packard company. (The remaining units became Hewlett-Packard Enterprise and are focused on the corporate market.) Hewlett-Packard was founded in 1939, operating out of a garage in Palo Alto and was the original Silicon Valley tech company. It has a compact footprint (just 16.8” x 14.3”) and stands just 9.5” tall. HP cleverly designed the sheet feeder to fold flat when not in use, minimizing both the height and the width of the printer. The power cord has no bulky transformer on it so it adds to the clean look. Overall you will be pleased to share your home or your office with this attractive unit, especially since it is very quiet. Wirelessly connected, it can be located in any convenient space – it does not need to be next to the PC it is serving - ideal for homes and small offices since you can also use this great device as a supplemental copier. Setting up this printer is quite easy. HP protects the printer during shipping with tape around key parts, but all of the tape is bright blue and very easy to remove. The quick setup instructions are well-written and you could just read them. But an even easier method is to download the HP Smart app to your phone. Attach the power cord to the printer, turn it on and add some paper to the tray. Then just obey the illustrated step-by-step instructions in the app. Filling the printer ink tanks is color-coded and seems foolproof. Once ink is loaded, snap the print heads into position and an automatic alignment process will be conducted. The HP Smart app will connect the printer to your wireless network. This was the easiest step in the setup process. The printer will automatically join the WiFi network to which your smart phone is connected. At that point the printer will be accessible to any computer or phone on that network. There are also two alternates to wireless connections: attaching an Ethernet cable to your router or using a USB cable to your PC. If at any point in the setup you need assistance, HP has prepared excellent videos to explain the process. If you have a Windows PC just go to Settings, then Devices and select Add Printer. The HP 7603 printer will be discovered and the driver automatically downloaded. Any computer on your network should be able to access all of the printer features with the HP Smart app - a superbly designed software suite, containing easy-to-follow printing, scanning, copying, faxing and photo printing controls. The HP 7603 has a large (250 sheet) paper capacity in the lower paper drawer. It loads easily and is adjustable for multiple paper sizes. To print envelopes you must remove the paper and adjust the paper guides to the width of the envelope. If you want to use legal-size paper, the end of the paper tray extends to accommodate the longer paper stock. Print quality is really excellent, even in the economy (standard) mode. In the higher quality (business document) mode the print quality matches most laser printers I have used. The printer driver provides nice printing options like 2 on 1, 4 on 1 and up to 16 on 1 (number of page images on a single sheet of paper), borderless, scaled, fit-to-page, booklet and others. The most useful option is the automatic duplexing (two-sided printing) which it manages without drama. HP has introduced “AI Printing” with this generation of printers. This is useful for condensing the printout of articles from web pages (eliminating ads and large white spaces on the page). This works pretty well but I noticed that the resolution of images was reduced. Photo printing quality is quite good and will satisfy most purposes. This printer’s color capability will be best used in printing business documents (graphs, multi-colored text, PowerPoint slide copies, etc.) and it does a nice job on such tasks. The printing speed is not equal to that of a laser printer but certainly acceptable at about 15 pages/minute (black) and about 9 pages/minute for color documents (speeds confirmed by my own testing.) For home use/small offices this is more than adequate. (If you want really outstanding photo printing quality you should invest in a dedicated photo printer with more than three ink colors.) Scanning, at resolutions up to 1200 x 2400 dpi, can be managed from the HP Smart app which will scan to a PDF, stich large documents together and facilitate OCR, among other features. Unlike most printers today, the HP 7603 includes a FAX function. This used to be a standard feature twenty-five years ago for “all-in-one” printers but with the dominance of email today it has become rare. However, there are still times when a FAX is useful (e.g., some government offices require a FAX for some functions.) I had no problem attaching the printer to my VOIP phone system and then sending out a test FAX. I didn’t test reception. The controls on the printer are all found in a bright, touch-sensitive LCD screen which brings up a menu of selections. This is a nice improvement over the old, physical buttons and hard-to-read greyscale LCD screen on the previous generation of HP printers. However, I think most users would be better served by using the HP Smart app on their computer rather than the on-printer controls. I tested each feature of the HP 7603 and all worked flawlessly. The unit seems very solid and I expect that it will work for years without complaint, given its HP heritage. The most important feature of the HP 7603 is its massive ink tanks. It holds 90 ml of black ink and a total of 210 ml of color ink (70 ml each of cyan, yellow and magenta). Those ink tanks will print about 6,000 sheets of black ink documents and about 8,000 sheets of color documents. If you print ten pages a day that initial ink supply will last you nearly four years! The best part is the incredibly low cost of the ink. The refills for the ink tanks are far less expensive than replacement cartridges. The cost comparison to standard ink cartridges is amazing. A typical replacement inkjet cartridge for other printers costs $30 to $40 and will print 220-350 pages at an ink cost per page of about $0.09. The ink cost per page of the HP Smart Tank system is about $0.004 – less than 5% of the cost of a standard inkjet printer! And the ink levels are backlit so you can see it at a glance! With a traditional inkjet printer you probably minimize your printing to avoid costly ink cartridge replacements. This HP 7603 will free you to print much more readily since you have a cost per page lower than almost any other printing device on the market. Those savings are due to the fact that you are not replacing the print head, as you must with each new ink cartridge, and the elimination of the plastic cartridge body cost. The ecological benefit of eliminating this waste is a nice bonus. And having a large supply of ink will eliminate that dreaded emergency trip to the all-night office supply store to replace an empty cartridge when you need to print a document for an early morning meeting! One caution: Be sure to print at least one page in black ink and one color copy each month to keep the ink lines from potentially drying out from lack of use. In summary, the HP Smart Tank 7603 All-in-One Inkjet Printer/Copier/Scanner/FAX is flawless. I give this great device a full five stars and my unqualified endorsement. You won’t regret this purchase!

The HP - Smart Tank 7603 Wireless All-in-One AI-Enabled Cartridge-Free Printer was just what I wanted to try. Not only am I a person that needs to print in my professional capacity as a CPA, I print for personal reasons all the time. Unlike my 30 something children that do not see the need to print, I am 67 and often print. So, in today's day and time where the cost of technical items such as computers and printers has come down dramatically making the technology more affordable, the cost of ink is ridiculously high overriding the lower cost of printer use. Yes, all the manufacturers have monthly paid subscriptions based on projected page use, but has turned into a racket in my opinion, too. I started some of those subscriptions a couple of years ago on 2 of my prior HPs, but HP has recently increased the monthly cost on those, and I am not a happy camper about that. The printer and its accessories arrived well packed and labelled, with both brief setup and reference guides. In this configuration, there is the ADF printer, power cord, black, blue, yellow and magenta bottles of ink, and 2 printheads that all must be installed. Also, for reasons of safe shipping, blue tape, some cardboard, and white packing must be removed in and around both the outside and inside of the printer. Using the HP Print Service app, already loaded on my android phone used for prior setups, this printer's setup was easy peasy-no stress, no mess. Just the way I like it-no issues connecting to my Wi-Fi, no problems communicating between the telephone app and the LED screen on the printer, no anxiety, no wasted time and seamless loading on the computers and smartphone already connected to this network. Personally, I always choose an auto document feeder, ADF, that makes life so much easier for all the printing and/or scanning tasks. Also, the quality of print is excellent, scanning is easy, the input paper tray can be filled with 250 pages of paper, the Wi-fi is self-healing and will reconnect if knocked off somehow, print speeds are acceptable, the touch panel is easy to read, even with 67-year-old eyes, and in my opinion, there is nothing not to like. However, the bottom line for me is that HP has purported, based on 240 pages of production a month and how much ink is used per page, that the ink for this Smart Tank 7603 is supposed to last up to 3 years. I definitely recommend this printer.

HP has been continually expanding their Smart Tank printers for the past few years, and the 7603 All-in-One is likely the best one yet. In homes and small office environments, it’s hard to find a printer that checks all the boxes. For anyone who uses their printer as a multi-function device, you’ll be familiar with needing to scan a few multi-page documents, duplex printing, sending large print jobs, or scanning documents to a network share or email. Most consumer grade printers are going to struggle with handling those jobs quickly and efficiently, especially if they do not have an automatic document feeder (ADF) for scan jobs. When you pair daily multi-function printer (MFP) needs with the cost of toner and ink cartridges, it makes the math rather difficult. This is where feature-rich tank printers, such as the Smart Tank 7603, really start to show their value. DESIGN It’s hard to complain about an office printer that does everything as it should in a reasonable footprint. Most people will find that this is either a small size upgrade to their basic printer, or a more compact version of their current MFP. Whether you choose the basalt or white colorways, the 7603, this device should fit into almost any office space without attracting too much attention. Please note: There is an LED light above the print output tray that I have been unable to turn off due to keeping the device in Power Saving Mode when it is not in use. Some folks may find this annoying, especially in home environments. FEATURES/SPECS The paper tray fits 250 pages and the output tray fits 100 sheets, so capacity is not an issue on this model. The ADF tray is located at the very top of the device and can fit 35 sheets, which I would keep in mind if you plan to do a lot of scanning with this device. One important feature of this machine is its connectivity options. The 7603 has dual-band Wi-Fi and ethernet connectivity options onboard, along with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct, which means you can send jobs to this printer from any device with ease. The printer can crank out up to 15 pages per minute of black ink pages or up to 9 pages per minute with color printing, and in my testing, these numbers are reasonably accurate. There is a 3inch touchscreen that you can use to browse around you printer or configure settings with. Note: If you are an advanced user or using this in an office setting, most advances settings will be available to configure in the Embedded Web Server. I recommend setting up your device this way instead of on the touch screen. EXPERIENCE Setting up the printer wasn’t difficult, but it did have a hiccup when I was setting it up using the HP app on my Google Pixel. Luckily, HP’s app detected that the printer wasn’t fully set up and gave me the option to continue where I left off, which I have to applaud HP for. I was able to connect the printer to my Wi-Fi network quickly and easily. However, when I made changes to the networking on the printer – such as turning off Bluetooth or setting a static IP address – the Wi-Fi would stop working, even after restarting the device. To fix this, turn off the Wi-Fi feature and turn it back on. It should reconnect to your wireless network. Another note: If the touchscreen is ever unresponsive when you attempt to select a menu option, scroll past the option, scroll back to it, and select it again. I’ve been using this device to scan documents to my network shares and my personal email and the efficiency gains have been huge. If you are planning on purchasing this device, be sure to make the most out of the ADF and its scanning features. This is where I found the most value in this device, and I’m sure most business-minded users will feel the same. FINAL THOUGHTS The HP Smart Tank 7603 is doing a lot of things right. It has the right features, capacity, aesthetics, and functionality for most home or small office environments. While I did run into a few software glitches, I was able to fix them with some troubleshooting as mentioned earlier in this review. Regardless, the printer has been rock solid ever since I completed setting it up and connected it to my network via ethernet. Because of that, I absolutely recommend this device, and I hope to see HP fix these few software bugs in the near future.

The HP Smart Tank 7603 is an impressive all-in-one printer that is perfect for home or small office use. It delivers beautiful color prints up to 9 PPM and crisp black and white prints up to 15PPM, and with the provided ink you can supposedly print up to 3 years (8,000 Color prints and 6,000 black and white). It also features reliable scanning (Flatbed or Auto feeder) and 1200 DPI resolution, smooth copying, and Fax all in a compact design that doesn’t take much space at all. Specs: Height: 9.46 Inches Width: 16.83 Inches Depth: 14.33 Inches Weight: 16.98 pounds The setup process on the Smart Tank is simple. Plug in the printer and the 3-inch touch screen display will guide you through the process from setting up the WIFI to filling up the ink tanks to installing the tank print heads. You will need the HP Smart app to finish the installation process for this printer. You also have wired connection port if you prefer, ethernet, USB-B, and USC-C in the front. The 3.0-inch touchscreen display also makes the experience feel much more modern and user-friendly. Navigation is simple, settings are easy to find, and the whole printer feels designed to keep things moving without making you dig through complicated menus. One of the biggest highlights of the HP Smart Tank is the refillable ink tank system. Instead of dealing with tiny cartridges and those endless replacement runs, you get a huge amount of ink included right out of the box, which makes this printer an excellent value for high-volume printing, plus you can buy any ink you like from amazon, no smart chip in those bottles. Overall, the HP Smart Tank 7603 is a smart pick if you want an all-in-one printer that’s efficient, practical, and built for long-term use. It delivers excellent value, strong print quality, and the kind of convenience that makes everyday printing a lot less of a chore.

This is a nice printer. Good print quality, quick even on double-sided heavily illustrated documents. If you don’t want to read any further, you can stop right here. The Smart Tank 7603 is one of the best smart tank printers I’ve used to date. If you’re still here, then some additional details: Set up is a tad more involved than other smart tank printers I’ve used. HP has replaceable print heads, so they have to be installed at start up. On regular cartridge-style printers, the print head is built into the cartridge. On smart tank printers, the print head is built into the printer itself. Many smart tank printers don’t have replaceable heads, so if one fails, then you have to replace the entire printer. At first I wondered if this was some sort of a gimmick by HP to force the user to replace print heads on occasion since ink tank refills are very inexpensive and off-brand ink can be purchased and used (of course HP recommends only using HP ink), but after some research, it appears that HP has designed the print heads to last the life of the printer. This was good to know. One thing I really appreciated about the 7603 was that it didn’t require an app to set it up. A cool little display mounted on the top of the front that is also a touchscreen does allow you to avoid the HP app and logging in, which is my preference. I set the whole thing up just using that little touchscreen and it was easy enough. Print quality is great. Like really good. I ran a double-sided, image-heavy document through it, and the colors were great, there was no smearing, and the time for a page was about 1/2 of what my other smart tank printer (made by a different manufacturer) too. I’m very pleased with this unit and will be retiring my old printer. The Smart Tank 7603 is a clear upgrade over it.

I have owned and used HP printers for more than a decade, and I always upgrade to their latest models because, without a doubt, HP has been a pioneer and an innovative leader in the printing field. When choosing a printer for my everyday needs, I prefer one with long-lasting ink that does not require me to constantly replace expensive cartridges, and this is where the magic of HP Smart Tank comes in place. The HP Smart Tank 7603 is equipped with refillable Smart Tank system that uses large ink reservoirs that are filled with bottles of ink, allowing the printer to produce thousands of pages before needing a refill. It is both cost-effective and convenient for those who prefer printing frequently. Right out of the box, the printer feels premium and has a stylish, modern design. Even though it is an all-in-one printer, it is compact and doesn't take up much desk space. Setting it up was quick and straightforward using the HP Smart app. I simply scanned the QR code that showed up on the touch screen, and followed the on-screen steps, and within a few minutes the printer was connected to my home Wi-Fi and appeared in the HP Smart app, ready to use. The 3-inch color touchscreen has an elegant design, instead of having a tiltable display, it's seamlessly embedded into the body of the printer, giving it a clean, sophisticated, and premium appearance. The screen is interactive, bright, responsive, and easy to navigate, making it simple to access settings, executing orders such as copy, scan, or checking printer information right from the printer. It is a well-thought-out design and makes the printer convenient to use. I also like the thoughtful design touches HP included. The Status Light Bar on the front of the printer changes color depending on what the printer is doing, whether it's being set up, printing, or needs your attention. It provides a simple visual cue of the printer's current status. Another feature that is useful is the lit ink tanks. The built-in lights make it much easier to install the ink bottles and visually and easily check the ink levels, even in a low light room. HP definitely paid a lot attention to details to make their products useful and convenient. HP includes the ink in the box, so the printer is ready to use immediately. The print quality is excellent, producing sharp text with vibrant colors and clear detail. Scanned documents also came out bright, clean, and clear. In addition, the HP Smart Tank 7603 includes several productivity features that make printing easier. Automatic two-sided printing, scanning, and faxing. Although it does not offer automatic duplex scanning, the automatic sheet feeder makes scanning multi-page documents quick. The Smart HP app on smartphones has full usability of the printer. The app is also available on PC and Mac. Connectivity options are available on Wi-Fi and ethernet. Finally, this HP Smart Tank 7603 is an excellent all-in-one printer for everyday usability and meets all work demands, whether for students, telework, or small businesses. It prints high quality for low printing costs, has reliable wireless connectivity, and other features that basically make my daily work needs done. The combination of a large bottle of long-lasting ink, automatic duplex printing and auto document scanning, a large paper tray, and versatile connectivity simply make it ideal for any household.

After getting the HP Smart tank 7603 and fully setting it up which all in all took maybe an hour tops going back and forth to the very small printed set up paperwork and for my age it was way to small compared to the HP printer I had before this one which was a back load type that would catch all kinds of dust. I am by far more impressed with the 7603 not just because of the way you load the paper into it (tray load) which for me is far more easier than the back loading type. It's very easy to set up if you already have the app on your pc and on your cell phone. I truly think that the hardest parts of the setup were the fact of the very small print on the instructions and putting the print heads in place properly so the lid on them would close to only other Item that really bugged me is this in the print on the paper work for setup it states for the black ink tank it will only tank half the bottle, I can say it doesn't as it too the whole bottle. other than those three thing two of which I honestly think HP might wish to change (print size on the instructions along with the mistake of informing us as a product user on the black ink). In my opinion this is well worth the investment of getting if your looking for a great All in one printer that you can print from anywhere with a flat top scanner that you can feed the paper your copying if you need front and back done or just making a copy of a picture or any kind of document that you only need one side of and the way the software works with it you can actually lave it on as it well go into a sleep mode until you touch the screen. It also has a light about the area where the print comes out that indicates that your connected to your WiFi and if your printer is off line. I almost forgot to mention that the 7603 is 100% quieter than my original hp printer. I would give it a 10/10 but there are only 5/5 stars lol it's a get it 100%

The worst part about inkjet printers is the cartridges! The OEM cartridges are expensive and the aftermarket ones either don’t work at all or they mess up your print heads. This is the main reason I went with a HP Smart Tank printer and I would easily give it a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars. Value I’ll start by mentioning the price of this HP Smart Tank. At full price it is a little higher than your standard cheap inkjet. But it is a great value when you consider it comes with up to 3 years of ink right in the box. Getting up to 6,000 black pages and 8,000 color pages right off the bat means I don't have to think about buying ink for a very long time. That alone made it worth the price to me. Not to mention when you do buy ink it is much cheaper to buy the bottles. Versatility I work from home so I won’t buy a printer that doesn’t have a self-feeding option. It makes sending or scanning documents so much easier. This is a true 4-in-1, which means the 7603 handles pretty much any task you can think of. You can print, copy, scan, and fax. Easy to Use This printer may take a few minutes to figure out completely during the initial setup, but once you are familiar with it, it is quite easy. So many conveniences packed into this machine! The biggest standout for me is the mess-free refill system. It is so nice to just plug the bottles into the tank and let them drain without any squeezing. There was literally no mess. There is not a traditional touchscreen, but it has a touchbar for simple operations. Anything like multiple sheet scanning or faxing or other more complicated tasks go easily through the app. Performance Performance has been excellent so far. The print speed seems fast (up to 15 ppm for black). The print quality itself is excellent—colors are vibrant and text is very sharp. Another layer of functionality that I actually find useful is the AI-enabled formatting. It automatically adjusts web pages and emails so you don't get those weird, half-blank pages with cut-off text. Overall Overall, the HP Smart Tank 7603 is a well-rounded, thoughtfully designed machine. It looks fantastic with the white and grey accents, giving it a very premium feel. It is fast, reliable, and genuinely enjoyable to use without the constant anxiety of running out of ink. It is not perfect, but this is a great printer for most people. I think it would be perfect for students, home offices, and really most families.

PRODUCT HP Smart Tank 603 Great Quality for everyday use. Photo Copies are Fantastic QUICK REVIEW If you like tank printers (and I do), then the HP 7603 is worth a close look. Print quality is very good, and color printing is pretty close to photo quality. Add to that an ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) and Duplex Printing, it is a very capable printer / scanner / copier / fax. REVIEW The HP Smart Tank 6300 comes with enough ink to last most people for years. For home / workgroups, the print quality is very good, including color and photo printing. SETUP I usually set up printers manually from the control panel, but in this case, I tried the HP step by step instructions at 123.hp.com, and they worked very well. I ran it from the PC with the printer next to my screen. Unboxing was easy with the included handle bag, and then removing tape and so on. Make sure to check all the cardboard contained in the box, one box had the print heads, and the other has the ink bottles. At first I thought there was no display screen, then as I continued on the set up, a cleaver screen was illuminated. It is build into the face of the printer, just ahead of the scanner. When the printer is not in use, there is no illumination. The other cool thing is that throughout the setup the printer illuminated various lights to show you where to install ink or paper or whatever. This is really a first, for all the printers I’ve used over the years. Anyway, the set up is pretty easy, just follow the prompts to fill the ink tanks, install the print heads, run a test page, then you are all set. PRINTING On the highest quality setting, the printing is relatively fast. Not lightning fast, but not a slow crawl either. The print quality is very good, for both text and color printing. You can still tell it is an ink jet, but that is OK for the intended use. Printing a photo color test (see pics), the colors were vibrant and clear. Almost as good as some of the photo printers I have tested. COPY / SCAN This is the best quality copy / scan I’ve tested in years. The copy is about 95% as good and the original print. This was tested from the flatbed scanner in photo mode. Using the ADF copy quality was about 80%, which is normal with ADF since it is a faster scan. PROs - Compact All in One Printer - Huge Tank INK Storage - Great Print Quality for an InkJet - Easy to use and setup - No Subscriptions needed - Double Sided Printing (duplex) RECOMMENDATION I really think HP nailed on this printer with a good balance of new features, easy setup and high quality. I do recommend this printer.

If you are looking for an all in one printer and print more often than the average person, this is the printer for you. According to Hp, the included ink is worth 3 years of printing and looking at the size of the tank that comes with this printer, I have to believe it. It looks like it's at least 3 times the size of the cartridges that comes with my other printers. It has a good size paper tray so no less of coming back on a print job to find I have to fill up the paper tray again. A 3 inch touchscreen which is just ok in my opinion. I have big fingers and would prefer a larger screen but that where there is a bit of a positive. The HP app is something I absolutely love. It is the easiest to use and navigate. You can control prints easily through the app and most functions. Also has an ethernet connection, which surprisingly enough, not on all printers. I found that weird when I purchased a printer that was strictly wireless. Installation is a breeze, just follow instructions or app. Only took a few minutes and your up and running. This printer has many features, most of which I probably wouldn't use but it's nice to know the option is there just in case I do need it. This is the perfect printer, imo, for anyone who prints above the average person. It's gonna save you a lot of money quickly. The only small negative is, I noticed when it prints photos, it's not as crisp as some of my other printers. But, personally, that wasn't that big a deal.

The HP - Smart Tank 7603 Wireless All-in-One was a game changer for me. Admittedly, I'm not a big fan of HP printers (historically) because of wonky software, the varying quality of actual support (when needed) and general printer performance. All that has changed... I chose the 7603 because I wanted to experience the HP "take" on tank filling ink jets. The entire adventure didn't go exactly smoothly but I consider it a blip-stuff-happens event... and I'll explain more on that a bit later. What I loved about setting up this printer (well, actually two of them), is just how simple yet thoughtfully guided the entire process was. I can say without reservation that on this particular model, that on-top display guided each step and for me, everything was clear -- from start to finish. The pleasant experience started with the critical task of filling the tanks. I have tried other brands and a couple in particular can lead to messy & frustrating outcomes. Not here, on the Smart Tank 7603. I've gone through the process twice now and in both instances, there simply was no fuss or muss - and most importantly, NO MESS. Not a drop! The guided setup takes you through tank filling, print head installation and then self-calibration, which involves a print specimen that the printer then requests that you place on the scanner glass and let it do its thing. No guess work - by human eye. It just does it. The guided setup process also includes steps to connect the printer to a WiFi network, and it was a breeze to do. I didn't manage to try the USB and Ethernet connectivity steps, but I can't imagine those being very complicated at all. All-in-all, the entire set up process was simple, went smoothly and the "guidance" built in absolutely helped. And here's the kicker: I actually set up two of these painlessly, without using any mobile app or computer aided connection. It was all done on my countertop, sitting in front of me and through the cool touchscreen. I experienced the same ease-of-setup on a HP Laserjet recently as well and I have to hand it to HP now; they've perfected the "by hand" setup experience. In terms of overall performance, the printer is relatively quiet but still pretty quick. Print quality is stellar. A few of the samples I typically use to evaluate color printers looked fantastic on standard, 20lb stock. I really like this machine! So, the "did this twice" part - explained. The first printer I received had some contamination underneath the glass, within the flat-bed scanning unit. It was just enough to throw ghost/shadow specks onto scans & copies. HP was super responsive in reaching back out, investigating the issue and getting me a replacement. That entire process was unexpected by me and restored lost confidence from days gone by. Needless to say, the replacement HP - Smart Tank 7603 Wireless All-in-One arrived in pristine shape & performed great + the scanning deck is clean as a whistle! Pros: Big tank windows so one can actually see the reserves Prints fast and prints clean, with sharp edges Copies blazing fast; acts a scanner to a connected device equally fast Self "guided" setup via the onboard touch screen ran beautifully Relatively quiet in operation and for the noise it does make, it's smooth sounding and not clunky Wireless network connectivity is solid Overall build quality (structurally) is high, and it looks modern & sleek Cons: None Notable: Make sure to pay close attention for possible scanner bed contamination or specks, within your return window - because I wouldn't advise anyone to attempt cleaning underneath the glass via disassembly. Scanning blank sheet of white paper and also testing via copying of the same, will show you if anything is less-than-clean.

Tank printers provide an excellent cost per page and the convenience of not having to change cartridges. This new HP is an excellent tank printer that has better text quality than most I have And previously. The design and appearance of the unit is unusually nice despite being plastic. The built-in screen and touch screen is excellent and inconspicuous. I actually moved this printer to the top of a dresser as its appearance was so superior to the printer it replaced, which I hid on a lower shelf. Has with all tank printers I have used it takes some time to load the ink, but the instructions and app were excellent, and they were no interruptions in the process or software glitches. Unlike some other tank printers print headswhich funnel the tank ink also need to be installed. The speed and text print quality are excellent. Two sided printing worked almost every time. I was hoping the photo quality would be as good as a older non-tank Printer, but I did find the colors to be a little bit more flat than the Older cartridge based all in one printer. Telegram the document feeder and scanner seem to work well. I am looking forward to working with this unit mostly for home. Office needs.

You'd think a printer is a printer. They use a lot of interesting words to get you to purchase the printer, but in the end, they're all the same, right? The color from the prints of HP Smart Tank 7603 let you know that a printer is not just a printer. Setup is relatively easy. loading the ink isn't the same is dropping in a cartridge like other printers, but it isn't rocket science either. A few minutes and I was good to go. I started off print documents. No big deal, pretty basic test. I've never really had nuch issue with printing docs. Then I printed a picture. Man! I wish I used better paper on the print. Never before Have I had a home printer that printed in the manner in which this printer prints. Included in this review is a picture of the picture I printed. This is near pro grade printing. Again, with better paper it'd look even better, but as is, this is a great print. The printer claims the ink included lasts 3 years. Obviously I haven't been able to test the ink for 3 years, but if I can print at this level for 3 years with this printer, that's a a major win. There's only so much to be said in regards to the quality of a printer. I'd much rather let the pictures speak for themselves. What I will say, is if someone is looking for a quality color printer, this is a no brainer pick.

This printer replaced an HP cartridge printer. All I can say is "WOW! What a difference!". This printer is fast , quiet and the prints are crisp. It was easy to set up and easy to use. I disabled the HP AI features with no problems. The upfront cost is a bit but it will pay for itself in less than a year! I am so glad that I bought this printer. I would highly recommend this all in one!

I've had several HP printers through my lifetime. I love the liquid ink over the old carts. Also, the single tray that can hold a decent amount of paper is a welcome idea. before I had a 2 tray and I could never have the printer choose the tray I needed to use!!! I have it 3 weeks and hooked it up tp my phone, tablet and computer. It prints wonderfully from all three

Printer uses liquid ink and the technology appears to be completly different. Setup was extremely difficult to understand. It took me two days to get it set up with "Live" support, instead of their AI support. Found out there's a video Showing You how to set up the printer. You really need to see that first! I did advise HP to include that in the printer box and advise customers to SEE the Setup video first before going through the steps. Once the printer was set up correctly, it did print very nicely. However, it's too early to tell if I'll have any issues with it. I'm no longer printing much volume at home. Scanning is important to me. I don't do much copying. I can't really recommend this product at this time. Only time will tell.

I’ve owned this for only a short time, but so far everything is working well. I have had a little trouble getting my Mac to recognize this as a color printer, but the print quality and lack of errors is good so far.

Printer functions work as intended. Setup can be a bit problematic if upgrading to a new printer with the HP Smart app. I hope the printer heads hold up better than the older model. Glad I had the extended warranty.
