Great scooter for preteens

Very good quality, reaches good speed for a preteen. The box was a little damaged when I picked it up, but Best Buy representative guaranteed it was brand new. Unfortunately battery doesn't last long, the box says around 40 minutes, but lasts around 15-20.

“Safe and Exciting Fun for Young Riders”

I bought the Hyper Ripper for my 9-year-old son, and it’s been an excellent choice. The design is eye-catching, and the blue color makes it look modern and fun. The 10 mph max speed is perfect for kids—fast enough to be exciting but not too fast to be unsafe. The 6.5-mile range is more than enough for neighborhood rides or trips to the park. The pressure throttle is intuitive and easy to use, even for kids who have never ridden an electric scooter before. The 120 lb weight limit makes it ideal for children between 6 and 12 years old. Bought for my nephew's 10th birthday and he LOVES it! Perfect size for preteen and has a good zip to it. He says it's easy to maneuver and fun to ride. Would recommend for any kid 8+!

Best Scooter Ever

I bought this for my daughter age 10 and she loves it so much. The battery last do long and it charges up fast as well. The pink color is so pretty and it goes the right speed for her. Highly recommended

I bought the Hyper- Ripper Kids Electric Scooter on Black Friday at a good discount, and it also has excellent quality and sharpness in the image. Best Buy's delivery service is wonderful, they keep you updated all the time and they are very professional, with a team that speaks Spanish and English so that the Latino community can also benefit from their services without problems. Great kids scooter

Very simple yet great scooters for young kids. I bought this for nephew and the blue color was a great choice. It's very light, so he can easily carry it around with him. I do suggest wearing a helmet as always for protection, but the speed isn't too fast and the scooter is safe.

Came quickly and was easy to put together! Quick to charge and has a great run time! Kick stand is a great feature to avoid having to lay it down every time you get off of it. Simple to use for first time scooter users! Very fun and easy, happy with this scooter would recommend if looking for a fun scooter for your kids!

Sooo much fun!!!

I recently purchased this Hyper Ripper Kids Electric Scooter for my daughter. After a couple days of vigorous testing, I’m very pleased!! It’s not tooo fast, but also not tooo slow. She gets close to 40 minutes of runtime and it takes a little over 5 hours to charge. I like that the base is a little wider than some we looked at. The tires are a little fat and I feel that has helped her to learn how to ride. She loves it!!!

It’s awful. It’s so loud it sounds like the jetsons flying around. It’s quite bulky on the bottom which may help balance young kids. The wheels are thin and every crack is intensified. The speed is great for my 8yo though but doesn’t last long and doesn’t travel very far.

Was delivered on Christmas Eve. They opened it on Christmas Day charged it soon as they opened it and the Scooter started smoking. Unfortunately, it won’t let me post a video, but this is a picture where it was smoking at.

I bought this for my youngest after getting e-scooters for my older kids, but honestly, I shouldn’t have. He’s afraid of it—the speed seems to make him uncomfortable, and he refuses to ride it. On the other hand, it doesn’t go to waste. My 9-year-old sister rides it whenever she visits, and she and my 10-year-old son (who has a Segway) love cruising around the neighborhood together until the battery runs low. It’s not as fast as the Segway, which actually makes it a better fit for younger kids. One downside is that it doesn’t fold, so it’s not the most convenient for storage or travel. But if your child is comfortable riding it, it’s definitely worth it.

Item arrived in good shape and well packaged. My daughter ai around 60lbs and it is able to reach just under the 10mph advertised. Battery life so far has been good. Very solid deck. On the cons side it is very loud. She also feels the kickstand is a little hard for her to bring up and down so she leans it against the walls. It also lacks a convenient locking loop or mechanism if out and about.
