Just bad…. Ordered this for my son, was supposed to be his big Christmas present from Santa. It arrived about 10 days before Christmas. We hid it in a neighbors garage and weren’t able to get back to open and assemble it a few days. Upon finally getting to open the box and begin assembling it, it was apparent the packaging had been damaged. There were some fist sized holes that had been taped over with clear tape. I opened the box and didn’t immediately notice anything further, so I began putting it together. Got the front axle and wheels on and started working on the rear when I noticed the rear axle was missing all together, just not in the box. At that time I started looking closely to confirm I had all the rest of the pieces. If I’m going to have to reach out to customer service to see about trying to get the axle before Christmas I want I be sure nothing else was missing. Nothin else was missing, however the body on the rear on both sides was cracked/broken as was one of the tail light covers. Called customer service, it was late, they were closed. The next day I began calling at 8:30am. Recording just says to go online, send an email or leave a message… I would prefer to speak with someone as time is a factor at this point. I called and called and just kept getting the same message. Eventually I sent an email asking for help and how we can get this axle shipped asap so I can have it before Christmas. Not long after I received a stock email reply, asking me for more info, most of which was already provided in my original email. I was very quickly told there was no fast shipping and I definitely would not have this part before Christmas. Some back and forth emails with someone that very clearly did not have any intention on actually trying to help get to a resolution. Simultaneously I was continuing to call the “customer service” phone number and by about 1pm someone finally answered. I explained the situation and what happened and what I was told via email already and they simply said yes that’s true. Nothing can be done. And told me to just return it…. Return the one big gift from Santa, just be before Christmas, with nothing to replace it with. Eventually with a sigh of defeat I was off the phone and told to send a picture of the broken tail pieces as well. I told them I wasn’t concerned at this time with that, just needed the axel in order to put it together. I sent the pictures and then got a response saying that part is not a replaceable part and my only option was returning it to a Best Buy. I responded right away reiterating I didn’t want that part just the axle so I can get it put together. And I asked for a response confirming that was sent. I need to check the email timeline but it wasn’t until later on the next day that I finally got a response and still not sending the part. The Friday AFTER Christmas I received an email saying the axel would be shipped on Monday. It’s currently Sunday, so it hasn’t shipped yet and I also have until Tuesday 12/31 in order to return it. Awful, awful, unhelpful people. Selling kids toys and unwilling to help, seems odd. If you don’t like the job, get another one. Why take it out on paying customers??? Very disappointed. Almost as disappointed as I am in myself for wasting so much time typing all of this. Buyer beware,,,,,
