Really great game, not a true prequel as the trailers would lead you to believe, but the game is still really fun and the story I'd argue is better than that of Breath of the Wild's, mostly because this game is more story focused.

Quick delivery and the game itself is amazing and has so much content. I am 35 hours in and i still have so much to do.
This review is from Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity - Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite [Digital]

10/10, I recommend. Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity is a must-have action packed game for any Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Dynasty Warriors fans alike. This game is a direct prequel to the events of BoTW and has a fantastic storyline with a variety of familiar faces to play as. It's not as grindy as it seems on the surface, but keep in mind that this is a hack & slash game. Don't sleep on this game.

This game was very-very good to boot & clocked over 100 hours playing it(even to getting the season pass for more content to play). As a fan of musou-warriors games, I recommend this game to add for your switch game roster.

I LOVE LEGEND OF ZELDA!!! It’s a great game. 100 years before breath of the wild, and the story line is mind blowing!!!

Got exactly what I expected. Clean and sealed copy of the game.

Smaller game than the original Hyrule Warriors in scope but this serves as a fun prequel to BOTW and stands on its own with more focus on story.

I really like how this game puts a new spin on the Legend of Zelda. You get to play as different characters and the action is great.

I prefer the definitive edition instead of the age of calamity. After an hour of play, I’d have to say that The definitive edition has more game modes. (This is just a brief summary).

Good game if you've played Breath of the Wild and want to know more about the kingdom of Hyrule and some of the characters one hundred years earlier, or to see how things may have panned out differently with the knowledge of impending doom. It has some things similar to and some things very different from the first Hyrule Warriors game. Its hard to say which is actually the better. Age of Calamity has the better story and its main campaign battles are a good two to three times as long, while Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition has much more post-story content and is more quickly paced for a mobile system like the Switch. Age of Calamity's graphics are direct copies from Breath of the Wild, so if you like the cel-shaded look you'll appreciate Age of Calamity; if not you may think the first game has the better graphics. Pros: * Not very complicated gameplay. Just keep mashing buttons until enemies go down with occasional dodging and item use. * Excellent story that melds well with the Breath of the Wild events. * Many video cutscenes, far more than in Breath of the Wild, that help tell the story outside of battles. * Does not require the hundreds of hours to 100% the game as the first Hyrule Warriors does. Con: * Too easy. On most quests, a competent player is in little risk of death at the Normal difficulty level (a Hard and Very Hard level exist for those wishing a greater challenge.) * Noticeable frame rate drops during rainstorms or when many Lizafos are on screen at once and all spit water, ice, fire, or lightning at the same time * Questionable decision by developers to map jump and dodge to the same button. Many players experience "misjumps" when they merely mean to dodge when too close to a wall. * Very poor camera positioning which too often gets stuck behind a tree or other object obstructing the view. Assuming all available sidequests are done, playtime of main campaign is approximately 60 hours. To complete all post-story sidequests the playtime extends to 80-100 hours, depending how many hidden chests and Koroks were not discovered in main story missions on first attempt.

Mosou style games make Mosou Hawnyyy tee hee hee. Koei Tecmo took such an amazing game in Breath of the Wild and plucked out a great cast of characters and put their Mosou touch on it. The story and cinematic are top notch throughout. Filling in the backstory of what happened before the Calamity was so rewarding. I really never saw this prequel coming but I'm so glad it did. Plenty of replayability and unlockables on top of hours of amazing gameplay. You'll definitely run into some frame rate issues throughout but overall it never really detracts from the game itself. So many baddies to take on and giant bosses to face. It's a no brainer if you're a fan of the Legend of Zelda or Dynasty Warrior type games.

This game is beautifully made, with interesting characters, an overarching story, and of course, the classic Zelda feel, with the hack and slash combat of the Warriors series. Best game Koei Tecmo and Nintendo have done together. Although it has some frame drops, it's nothing TOO significant, and it is still very playable. I recommend it to all who own a switch or have played some part in Breath of The Wild.

Great game! I love that it expanded on the story told in BOTW and gave the opportunity to play so many characters integral to the story. The gameplay was fun and immersive. The different characters allow you to experiment with different skills and fighting styles, like in a RPG, which makes it interesting. As an avid BOTW player, I really liked fighting hordes of enemies. It was very satisfying and I think it still has promise for replay ability, even for a hack-and-slash. I was on the fence about buying in the first place, but it was definitely worth it!

I had a ton of fun playing this game, it perfectly captures the aesthetic of Breath of the Wild while in a "Dynasty Warriors" style of gameplay. There are some framerate and camera issues in hectic battles, but overall a great experience.

I’m not the biggest fan of warrior-style games, but this game is fantastic. I played it last year and finally decided to review it btw lol. For real though, pick this game up if it’s on sale. The story is good plus it has more voice acting than TotK. Sure the fps may dip on certain parts of the game, but it doesn’t mean it’s not a great game. Highly recommend!
