A very intense movie, it keeps you on the edge of your couch! Definitely got the bang for my buck! Graphics are super clear and movie is well made.

I looked to much forward to it, since I'm a fan of the original. minutes into the movie I just knew it was going to be so so, Made by the same director that made the movie 2012, it has the same terrible drama and completely transparent storyline. I'm not even sure if there even is a storyline to this movie. The worst part in fact is that the aliens are more primitive than us. You would think that It's when you realize that the Queen of the aliens suddenly gets a personal vendetta against a yellow school bus while fighter planes are bombarding her, it looks that the script was written in a break time. I really went into this.

Independence Day: Resurgence is remarkably well thought out for a sequel 20 years in the making. What adds to the realism is writers attention to detail, how earth benefited from being attacked by a hostile alien force. Also, how would our main characters have grown or failed to grow in a world where we are not the only life in the universe.

This sequel to the original Independence Day is even more action-packed than the original. It has a great cast and is nonstop action.

I liked this movie because it gave me what I wanted as far as suspense and heroic outcome. Loved the special effects and 3d!!

Movie was fun to watch because of all of the original characters, except for Will Smith, but story was too complicated.

The movie was very clear and my family and I loved the graphics.

Pros: Jeff Goldblum. HDR on an OLED. Atmos sound was great with some overhead surround. Cons: Not as great as the first.

I guess I have a bad taste in films, or some disaster movies just receive too much criticism for what they should be viewed as, i.e., popcorn flicks with an immense amount of entertainment value. Leave your brain at the door, grab a beer, and sit back for a movie sure to leave you entertained in a sense. Did I forget to mention this is the sequel to the movie that started the whole summer blockbuster disaster film craze? Give it a go if you haven't already. Recommended.

This film succeeds where it should fail because it understands and fully embraces its B-Movie status. Great visuals and stunts. Does its best to give its audience what they want, from returning players to thrilling action sequences. My only criticism is that it sets itself up for a sequel that might not come due to low box office results.

Had heard "ID R2" was campy and played for a lot of silly laughs like the 1st "ID,"... Wrong! This alien invasion movie has plenty of great special effects and storyline with serious characters we can relate with. Was totally disappointed with the first installment; perhaps the producers thought it over this time and made a command decision to not humor the viewer but involve him or her into the severity of a super, high tech race's desperate attempt to eradicate our human race! How about an "ID3: Reparations," so the despicable aliens can see how it feels to have their home world invaded by our derived, super, high tech fleet!

I have not watched this yet but I was offered 25 points to write a review so hear goes. I got a DVD. Blue ray and digital copy for I believe $8.99 and purchased this to use a $5 gift card so it cost me $3.99 plus tax. A reasonable deal, but nothing to brag about.

I had put off seeing this movie until it was long out of the theater. After watching part of it on cable I, I bought this when I was killing time in Best Buy. Surprisingly good with great surround sound effects and a much better picture than Spectrum transmitted.

I bought this to go with my ID4 blu-ray because I'm a complete-ist and I found the 3D to be very well done! Sometimes the 3D makes the movie better. I enjoyed it way more than the 2D version! Please don't stop making 3D blu-rays... PLEASE!

Good flick with plenty of action and the picture and sound is an immersive experience. Bought this steelbook, added an adhesive disc hub and added both the 3d/4k versions which makes for a great combo set. Keep'em com'in BestBuy!

Wasn't really expecting much from this reading all the reviews, but i actually enjoyed it. Good if you like end of the world type movies, think Day After Tomorrow, was actually better than Geo storm, especially in 3D.

The story was well done just what a hope for more of The Originals to be back for the sequel but the story held his own even if you hadn't seen the first one

While it's not the greatest movie ever made, for those who grew up with or were around when the first Independence day movie came out, it's a nice bit of updated nostalgia in the vein of Tron: legacy.
