About this product
After a sold out 20 Anniversary 3XLP, Turntables on the Hudson returns with a diverse 3 X vinyl set that carries the Inside the Dance series (previously on WONDERWHEEL Recordings) to all new releases made between the international friends & family between 2020 - 2022. It was a call to action for inspiration, creation, motivation & moving your body in response to the depressing times of initial lockdown & continued music gathering closures during the pandemic. What we did instead was invested in music, art, collaborations, videos, remixes hoping to keep the spirits alive & inspiration high for each other. It's now Spring of 2022 & we're happy we did it all. Here's the fruits of those seeds planted. Songs from artists across the sound spectrum from Morocco, Italy, USA, Spain, Argentina, Peru, UK, Montenegro, France, Belgium, Turkey, Dominican Republic, Niger & more. Almost all songs slightly edited to make sure we got enough output on each side of the record to mix the music in the clubs & on sound systems everywhere. Combining the singles artwork of Marcus (Tupi Lab) & the album LP vinyl art of Bodo (Marcial Arts), we have a very special limited edition 400 until pressing of this soon to be collectible. We hope you enjoy the collective effort that makes this look & sound so special. Ever since the party & tag began in 1998, it's mission was to shine the light on the underground international community making dance music & after 15 compilations, this is another proud example. Thanks for your continued support. Album Tracks 1. DJ Don Cuco - Yuri (Populous Remix) 2. DJ Sameer - Return to the Rainforest Edit 3. Beatkozina Feat Radouan Naim - Soye Edit 4. Ben Arsenal & Akil Apollo Feat - Heavy Like a Drum 5. Nickodemus Feat Cole Williams - Obeah Woman (Kiko Navarro Remix) Edit 6. Millok & Kingja - Riu (N'dini Mix) Edit 7. Megatronic & Edseven -

It's hard to believe we are now up to Volume 5 of our renowned Record Club series. Curating these compilations, where we share our latest musical discoveries and old favourites from the global stage, is always a labour of love. This selection is less dancefloor-driven than our previous volumes, as fewer opportunities for live events drove us to explore other paths and styles in the musical spectrum. But, whether you're DJing for a kitchen or a club, there is still a generous serving of spicy dancefloor magic. For Volume 5, we looked to a broad church - from Brazil to Cuba, Ghana, Jamaica, Japan, Mauritania, South Africa, Sweden, Trinidad and Tobago, the UK, and the US. We pulled songs from the 70s up to the present day and feature a stellar cast of artists. There's an exclusive track from Sven Wunder which was recorded solely for this compilation. We also have a track from Admin which was released as a private press 7Inch at the start of 2021 and one we felt was far too good to only be available for the lucky few. You'll also discover one of our most treasured Gyedu Blay Ambolley productions, a full-force African disco colossus! We hope you will enjoy this selection of seventeen eclectic songs as much as we do. Album Tracks 1. John Barry-Moore - Abertura de InchOs InocentesInch 2. Willy Chirino - Sing a Song (Canten Mi Canción) 3. Malouma - Nebine 4. Yasuaki Shimizu ?- Karachi 5. Mariah - Shinzo No Tobira 6. Mave & Dave - You Are Delicious 7. Pamoja - Oooh, Baby 8. Mark Capanni - I Believe in Miracles 9. Admin - Step Into Light 10. Phillip Malela - Tiba Kamo 11. Gyedu Blay Ambolley - Let's Be Happy (Disco Mix) 12. Tyrone Evans - Rise Up (Discomix) 13.
