Overall this microwave was what I was looking for. I bought it specifically because the one in my apt is too high for me to safely remove hot items (ok, I'm short). It works well, the size is perfect for me, and doesn't take a lot of space. Out of habit I do have my favorite features that I use all the time, others I don't use, but should be fine for those who do. The handle release was different, but very easy to get used to. The only item that could go back to the "drawing board" for improvement, which others have commented on, is the clock display. The digital clock displays on my other kitchen appliances have a softer yellow greenish cast. This microwave clock display is kind of an "in your face" bright white light display, especially obvious when the room is dark. Since it wasn't a dealbreaker for me and there are others clock displays in my kitchen, I easily resolve this at night by the use of a dark colored sticky note.

Silent button is the best feature! If anyone else has sleeping babies or just a house that is constantly running on different shifts, the silent button mean no one is woken up! It heats good evenly and pops all the popcorn in the bag without burning a single cornal. Larger compacity. Easy to clean. Quiet all around. Fits perfect on the cooking cart with toaster and conventional oven and air fryer!

I like ease of operation. The way the door opens or that trigger handle is not my preferred method but it might last longer than the push button. It was a great price. it's a beautiful product.

Great microwave. It heats very quickly and has simple to use controls. I have had mine for 7 months and I liked it so much I am ordering a second one for my girlfriend's house because she's a big fan of the single button functions such as entering "1" or "2" means one minute or two minutes on high, just hit "1" and it starts heating. I don't love the opening process with the button in the top and inside of the handle, but once I was used to it that was not a big deal.

I bought this microwave because my big one decided to stop on me and I needed a microwave. Once you get used to having it you can’t get along without it. This one is for the price I paid. You can’t beat it. Works good every time does the job.

This replaces the previous Insignia 1.1 cu. ft. model, which lasted about 2 years, a good amount of time for a contemporary microwave oven given my heavy use, and better than other brands I've tried. The door has been improved; it now has a handle with a latch, which looks to be much more reliable than the previous button below the control panel, a point of failure, and easier to use. This microwave works well.

Does an excellent job at heating up your food at ease with fast heating power. The button on the door handle is a neat touch as well, as an extra measure.

Nice microwave and hope it last longer than the other insignia we had. This one is little, bigger. Seems to be better. Newer model it looks like too. We are a microwave people at where I live. Do not like to spend a lot of time in kitchen cooking. So, we like it quick and go to eat in rest of the apartment. So, it does what we expect. Just wish microwaves last longer because it seems they do not last more than 2 years. Always, just over a year only. We will see on this one.

It was exactly what we were looking for at a great price. We got two, one for us and one for for my parents. We are all very happy with the microwave.

I literally read hundreds of reviews for microwaves before selecting this one. I didn't want an onerous child lock or annoying beeps. (One beep is fine.) I wanted one that was compact but could hold a good sized dinner plate. This one checked all those boxes. A plus for me was it came in black since I'm tired of stainless, and it has a white interior that seems easy to keep clean. BTW, the lift up button on the handle is no big deal, and I like the external handle instead of a wobbly button to push. This one's a winner iny book!

Works well, does what’s needed, pretty straight forward design. Only question is why they felt the need for the trigger release on the door handle. Otherwise was a good buy for the money!

Great value option with the same power as the larger models. It's a little smaller than what my families used to but the simple door latch operation and controls make it all worth it.
