Nice basic microwave if you never used steam sensor or other fancy features. Not too loud when running, and you can mute the beeper and button presses. A small feature upgrade would be if the beeper stopped once you open the door. It does five full beeps if you open it or not. Other brands know you open and mute the following beeps. That's a minor suggestion, though, and you can mute it completely. Only time will tell if this lasts longer than other brand it replaced, but so far the build quality and performance is excellent. It did smell like melting plastic out of the exhaust for the first couple days of use, but that is normal and went away. It's heavy enough where you can press button to open door with one hand and not have it slide backwards. Number and other buttons have nice bright high-contrast white text on the black background. Blue clock digits light up room at night, which can be handy and can be turned off if it bothers you. If you ever want to open it one day to check a fuse (not recommended without electrical precautions like at least unplugging it), you'll need a T15 security bit with the little hole in the end to fit the nub inside the screw's head. This is 1.1 cu ft and old one was 1.3, but the size difference is fine (the glass plate inside seems to be the same size as the old one, so it fits things fine even if the walls are a tiny bit closer). Goes on sale often, or use a Best Buy small appliance coupon to save a few bucks off regular price.

We live in a studio apartment, and needed a new microwave since ousr wouldn't work after years of service. Since we have limited counter space, we needed a microwave that fit above our fridge, and was still powerful, and spacious. This microwave was it. It has just enough features for us since we mostly use it for reheating leftovers. We had to order it and wait a week to get it since they didn't stock it in any Best Buy stores close to us. But, it was well worth the wait, and you cant beat the price which is what attracted us to it. Highly recommend if you want a powerful, spacious and affordable microwave for a great price! Would buy again!!

I’ve had this microwave for a little over 2 weeks and I am impressed. This microwave is 1000 watts. The one I had previously was 1100 watts. This new one is only a few inches smaller but it definitely warms my food as good as the old one! I love that you can silence it, so it doesn’t beep when you push the buttons or when the timer is up. Finally someone understood how annoying that was, especially at night. The only downside to it is that it is slightly loud when you first push start. However, after the first 2 or 3 seconds it gets a baby bit quieter. It’s tolerable and not a deal breaker. It is also aesthetically pleasing. I have had excellent experiences with the Insignia brand in the past and so far I’m happy with this purchase as well!

Bought 0.9 cu ft (900 watt) and 1.1 cu ft (1000 watt) microwaves for our 2 sons in college- initial impression is that we like them. Got the 900 watt for a dorm room- we think it will fit nicely on a fridge in the dorm. Got the 1000 watt for an off campus apartment for the counter. My kids' colleges allow microwaves up to 1000 watts. Both have interior lights, both heat up water nicely, but the 900 watt takes a tad longer to get to the same temp as the 1000 watt. 1000 watt is a little bigger (see pic). I think these are good purchases. Will post again if we run into any issues. Fair prices too.

Great price for a great presiding so i jumped on it. Works great and i like that is not too large because my kitchen space is limited so it's perfect if you have a similar situation. Insignia is just a great brand from day one that they came up with their product line years ago. I have a flat screen tv over 7 years old from Insignia that still works perfect.... can't beat that with a baseball bat

I am absolutely HAPPY , with my Insignia™ - 1.1 Cu. Ft. Microwave. It works just as I would hope. I love that it's the same cu.ft. as my old microwave. But takes up way less space than the old one. All black looks sleek and nice in my kitchen. The quality is awesome and exactly what I would expect from Insignia. The price was also incredible for the brand and size of the microwave. It was packaged very well and arrived a lot FASTER than I anticipated. If your in the market for a Good Quality microwave, from a Trust worthy Brand. I HIGHLY Recommend this Insignia 1.1 Cu.Ft. Microwave. You won't be disappointed .

I have had this microwave for just over 2 years and have been very happy with it. The popcorn button is the only one I have ever owned that cooks popcorn perfectly without burning it at the last second. It fits great in my tiny kitchen and is easy to clean. However...This week it seems to have been infested with gremlins. It randomly started turning itself on for no reason and with nothing inside. Sometimes in short bursts of a few seconds and sometimes it just keeps going until I open the door. We now have to keep the door open when we're not using it so it doesn't burn the house down. It has also started randomly shutting off in the middle of cooking, even for 1 minute cook times. So if you want a great microwave, but only have two years to live, this is the one for you!

Received mine undamaged and on time. Was packaged well and simple enough, Pretty straightforward set-up. Everything works as expected. I was a little surprised at how loud it sorta is, as it sounds like a rather deep-sounding buzz. It made me check to see that I had set up everything right, check if the vents were covered, and removed all package adhesives. But everything's fine and the buzz is not overly loud or a dealbreaker. Just might catch you a bit by surprise, is all. Just a little heads-up. Again, product works totally fine. I recommend this product.

I love this microwave. It stays put even though I have to push the button to open the door a little harder than normal. It cooks very well. I've had a lot of free standing microwaves in my lifetime but this is the best one I've had.

I love this microwave for it's style, simplicity, ease of cleaning and it's user friendly. I don't need a rocketship for a microwave, I just need it to cook my food. This Insignia 1.1 Cu. Ft. does the job and fits nicely on my kitchen counter. I am very pleased with it and would highly recommend this model to anyone.

Bought this a few weeks ago and so far so good. Very large and roomy inside the microwave. Cooks great and easy to use. The only slight downside is it's a bit louder than I like but nothing too distracting. Overall an upgrade from the microwave this one replaced.

I am perfectly happy witht his product. I used to have a microwave with bells and whistles, but I actually had a lot of issues with it. This microwave is simple, easy to use and big enough for those big platter meals.

Best buy for the money. All features used have cooked items to perfection. I would recommend this poduct over higher priced products with more features.

So far it works very well,very easy to use but makes a horrible noise which the loud screeching noise doesn’t bother me for the noise sake but makes me fear it’s on the brink of breaking down

I bought this microwave to replace a very similar older model from a different manufacturer. I have had no problems with this microwave though it is loud when it starts but quiets down a few seconds later. The done buzzer/chime is loud and beeps a full 5 times wether to door is open or closed. I've read it can be disabled completely but I can't find any way to do so.

Been great works perfect, easy to clean no problems with it since I purchased it.

BEST BUY HAD THE BEST PRICE! Our built-in microwave quit working during Covid so instead of having someone come and fix it, I was able to snag this one for under $80.00 and it does just fine. we use it every day. We actually got a brand new microwave less than it would be just to have somebody come to the house to look at the old one.
