Very easy to set up and use with Bluetooth, aux, or speaker wires to my record player. Has master volume, bass, and treble knobs, and the remote is great for switching between inputs from across the room. I'm no audiophile, but for the money the sound is good.

As someone that plays action and fantasy games I NEED sound, when I found out that my monitor didn’t have speakers I genuinely thought to get “monitor speakers.” After two sets of speakers I figured to give the $100 bookshelf speakers a chance. I absolutely love these, easy to set up, they look good, the remote is so easy and soooo helpful, and it WORKS.

I bought these to replace a 38" Vizio soundbar which as far as soundbars go is really a pretty good performer but at the end of the day all soundbars use small speakers which can only do so much. I came across these shopping here at Best Buy and figured they were cheap enough that if they were not a good margin better than the Vizio, I could use them on my office 4K TV or bedroom 4K TV. So then these arrive and I was shocked at how nice these are, I mean wow, the build quality alone is top notch! So I fired these up and they blow away the already pretty decent Vizio soundbar! They are perfect because I can also use my Klipsch subwoofer with them! They totally rock! Flat out these are a tremendous value given their awesome build quality and sound quality! The Bluetooth also rocks, I had em rocking some good music in a matter of seconds using my iPod! 5 STARS ACROSS THE BOARD!

I purchased 2 of these as open box excellent (Gifts for young ones desks). The boxes were not in the best shape but the speakers were in pristine Condition. I use a set R1280Ts (Google it) speakers for my desktop and did a comparison in sound and all I can say is WOW. Right on par if not better and Louder. Definitely get these. Package comes with a 3.5 to 3.5 mm for headphone jack style connection, and also RCA to RCA. A USB slot for music playback as well. A nice little remote to top that off. oh and it has a RCA Sub Out! Be careful if you feel like touching the pretty tweeter! I want more of these all over my house!!! like everywhere!!!!!!!! I wonder if my dog wants some for the dog house. :-) I also have a chicken Coop that needs sounds!

These speakers work well for my intended use. I got them to make my wife a minimalist turntable setup. They are easy to setup and work well. The sound quality is about average to good for this price point. They don’t get very load so if you need something load, these aren’t it. Also I’d read reviews that said you had to use the remote for all controls and was pleasantly surprised to find that it isn’t required at all. The top volume button controls the volume when turned and the standby/input modes when pressed.

Pros/Good things: 1 - variety of inputs: Bluetooth, RCA, and 3.5mm phono input --Bluetooth range and connection is good. I have not had any problems with any device connecting with the speakers. As well, I keep the RCA connected to my television's audio out, and keep a Chromecast audio permanently connected to the 3.5mm input. 2 - remote control* (also see Cons/Not so good things) -- having a remote is nice, but there are also volume and tone controls, and the input selector on the speaker itself. 3- volume and sound -- These are bookshelf sized speakers, but they do get loud. I haven't had any issues with distortion, but I don't play music at peak loudness often. The bass is good enough for my liking. 4 - misc/etc -- The speaker grilles are removable. The main speaker has an LED to let you know what input you are on. You can also pair/connect your device via NFC, though I didn't use it and only paired via Bluetooth. Cons/Not so good things: 1 - remote control -- The remote is very cheap - though I very much appreciate having a remote, this one is rather flimsy.

I needed something for a streaming Firestick TV I have in my Mancave/Garage. I had some USB speakers plugged into it, but that was a unimpressive experience. I didn't really have room for a soundbar, so I bought these. Pros: Nice wooden construction, very weighty, and nice to look at. The versatility of inputs, including Bluetooth is awesome. I have been playing some action movie scenes, high end sound tests, and music. They all sound HUGE. Full of base and nice highs. And what a bargain. I did get these on sale and an open box. Mine didn't have the remote but from what others have said, I'm not missing anything. Cons: None yet. I just got them and already love them. If anything changes I'll update.

These turned out to be the perfect speakers to upgrade my home office with. They sound great, they're the right size and they look nice, too. I am going to have to get some acoustic panels in here now to fully realize their potential. Here's a tip: Before I purchased, I checked out the open box items available, and found the pair I got in excellent condition with everything included for about 2/3 the cost of new. So for me...worth every penny!

This was was first bookshelf speakers, didn't expect this would produce such a great sound and bass. Using this over a year, no issues yet. It has everything USB port, Aux cable, NFS tech, digital cable to connect to audio and video devices plus a remote to control basic functions.

I normally never bother to write reviews, however this time I wanted to take a moment and let anyone who is even considering these speakers rest assured that, with the right expectations, you will not be disappointed. I purchased a nice Pro-Ject turntable for my office here at work, and I like coming in extremely early in the morning while its quiet, in order to concentrate and work on reports, analysis etc. - and I like listening to classical vinyl (Bach's Brandenburg Concerto is my favorite), and I needed a pair of powered speakers to work with my new turntable and preamp. Originally, I ordered a "fancy expensive brand" from Amazon (I won't bother you with the name, but they were 4 times this price), and Amazon kept delaying the delivery and lost the package. So, in my frustration, I jumped on to my Best Buy account and these "Insignia" ones were in stock at the store. I normally stay away from store brands, but I was in an angry mood, and wanted to hear my music. I bought these, they hurried out to curbside pickup quickly as they always do, and I brought these back. The variety of connectors in the back was a nice surprise. I was able to connect the phono plugs from my preamp right into the phono input on the back. Also - something these have that the "expensive" brand did not, was the little remote. Yes, as others have said, the remote is somewhat plasticky and lightweight - however that in no way affects how it works. And let me tell you, when an unexpected call comes in, having that remote handy is a blessing! The sound on these speakers is average, but decent quality nonetheless. The highs are decent with a good midrange and clean lows. Listening to good vinyl, at a decent volume level, is very pleasant and surprisingly good for speakers at this price point - and powered ones at that! The build quality is good - they are sturdy and have a good weight to them, not cheap-feeling at all. Honestly, I am very pleased with this purchase, and if you are considering these, go right ahead. Save yourself some money over those more "expensive" ones, and get these, and you will most certainly be pleased with the result :)

Didn’t know what to expect from this brand . But I’m pleasantly surprised with how it sounds when hooked up to my DJ controller for practice sessions. Has a nice little kick to it and decent sound range.

Easy to set up and great sound. I wired these Insignia speakers to my Audio Technica turntable. Deep sound and clarity. Love listening to records with these little gems.

Ought these speakers to replace my old Bose Soundtouch which was an outdated beast. I absolutely love the ease of connectivity and the fact that it has a sub output in this price range. Speakers were bigger than I expected and sound great. There doesn’t seem to be any quality lost when playing vinyl mp3s. The snap, crackle, and pop come through clearly. The price point now is a bit higher than when I purchased them but I think they’re still worth the price at $149 for the pair.

The sound quality is on par with what you pay for them. However, at lower sounds using bluetooth, there's a distinct ringing sound that becomes very prominent and can get annoying to hear at the end of every song when it gets quiet. Other than that they're great.

Fantastic! Great sound and such a solution without a receiver or a bunch of cluttered gear. Bluetooth and hard line connection make these so versatile at great price!

These Bluetooth speakers sound great. The clarity the bass are awesome. I wasnt expecting them to sound this good. Would totally recommend to anyone
Larger than i thought theyd be and the tuning controls help a lot. Great bass response and nice options like aux, rca and bluethooth all in one ake it a great set of speakers. I have my turntable, cd player and casseette player all hooked up and stream over bluetooth on occassion.

It does what you'd expect for this price. I am happilly surprised with the bluetooth capabilities and ease of connectivity though. I ended up up upgrading the speakers. Bought an audio receiver and some nice speakers and I am happier now. Bass and Treble are not really strong enough for me to recommend it to anyone who wants great sound quality.
