Whether you’re at home, at work or traveling, chargers have become indispensable to power up phones, tablets and other electronic devices. My work and travel backpacks are littered with wall chargers but I do have my top three favorites that I like for their small size, portability and performance. Will my new Insignia 32W 2-Port Wall Charger push its way through the top three? Let’s see. At a little over 1 inch wide and under 2 inches tall, this wall charger is very compact and makes it easy to carry around, and the folding prongs are ideal for traveling. It has a smooth surface rounded at the edges and the hard plastic has the feel of good quality. It is big enough not to get lost in a backpack and small enough to carry everywhere. A quick business trip out of town was all I needed to put it through its paces. According to Insignia, this wall charger delivers a total of 32W, with a max of 20W through the USB-C and 12W through the USB-A. At first, I charged my smartwatch, a Pixel watch, connected through the USB-A and the performance was on par with the watch’s original charger. Thumbs up so far. Then I charged my Pixel phone through the USB-C port, and later it was my tablet’s turn. To get maximum performance, I used the USB-C port by itself. The performance was respectable and the charging was fast, but I had higher expectations. I own another Insignia charger that is part of my top three wall chargers. It only has one USB-C port and is rated under 20W but somehow has been outperforming its more powerful sibling through tests after tests. This wall charger is still a decent performer, but with both ports charging together, the performance slows down quite a bit, especially with the USB-C port. However, I like the fact that it never gets hot even after hours of use; just a little warm. For everyday use and decent performance, the Insignia 32W 2-Port Wall Charger fulfills its purpose. It has a sleek modern look and its small size combined with folding prongs makes it a good choice for travelers. Although not powerful enough for a laptop, it’s more than enough to recharge your phone, tablet, smartwatch and earbuds. Its overall performance didn’t earn it a place among my top three wall chargers but it offers good value for the price.

Simply put, this charger is perfect for traveling. If you need to charge multiple devices or maybe share your charging power with another person, this is the perfect wall charger for that. The foldable prongs allow this to go into a pocket or bag without any problems. It is on the larger side compared to other wall chargers, so it may interfere with other items plugged into the adjacent port. But for travels where one may typically carry a single wall charger, this works great! The packaging is light, with only the wall charger and a legal notice included. If you are looking for a bundle with a cable included, this is NOT it. The wall charger is the only item included, and you will need to supply your own cables. I used this wall charger to charge a variety of devices. My phone, iPad, headphones, and even my smart ring. The USB-C port allows up to 30W of output. On the other hand, the USB-A port allows up to 12W of output. You can only use the 30W maximum output of the USB-C port when one device is plugged in. When two devices are plugged in, the output on the USB-C port drops. I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, and anytime you plug your phone into the charger, you get a notification saying “Super Fast Charging.” This typically tells me that I am using the maximum wattage allowed by the charger. When I have another device plugged in with my phone, I won’t get the fastest speeds, but I’ll still get fast charging. The maximum wattage for the USB-C port drops down to 20W. The USB-A port remains at 12W maximum output. In terms of heat, the charger does get hot, but not uncomfortably hot. If a child were to touch the charger, they should be fine. Overall, this is a great wall charger. While this can work as a home wall charger, I find that the multiple ports and portable design are perfect for when you’re travelling. I will use this for when I travel and have multiple devices with me, or if I need to share the wall charger with someone I am traveling with. Just be sure to have your own supply of cables, as no cables are included. If you are a traveler or someone who is looking for a versatile wall charger, you can’t go wrong with this one.

This is a handy wall charger as I still have some devices that need a USB-A port even though there are even more things that need the USB-C port. I love that the plug on this folds down, I don’t want it if it doesn’t! Overall with the plugs folded the block is 2” x 2” x 1” wide. It is right in there as far as size for a dual port charging block. It weighs 94.4grams/ 3.33 ounces. The USB-C port has 20W output and the USB-A port has 12W output for a total of 32W. It charges at a decent rate. I’ve read that you don’t want it to charge too fast, you want devices to charge at a moderate pace for good battery life. You can charge two devices at a time with the two ports. I tested it out myself and my devices are fine. The charger gets a little warm when charging, but that’s normal and really to be expected. This charger comes nicely packaged in a sustainable-friendly cardboard package. The only plastic that I see on the package are two clear sticker dots to seal the sides of the top of the package. I get my kids things like this as small holiday gifts, you can’t really go wrong with them as everything needs charging these days.

This is a compact two-device charger made by Insignia. The foldable plug makes this compact charger great for fitting into any pocket or purse. With one device, the USB-C port charges at 30W, which charges my Android phone extremely fast. For fast charging, a quick charger cable is also required. When using two devices (via the regular USB), the USB-C fast charging port output drops to 20W. The USB port supports a maximum output of 12W for charging. The fast charger can charge my dead smartphone in about 45 minutes. If I charge my smartphone and wireless earbuds simultaneously, it takes 1.5 hours. Charging time varies depending on the device's battery depletion and the use of a fast charging cable. I am highly satisfied with the charging speed. Charger device size is: 1 inch x 1.75 inch x 1.85 inch. A normal weight (not too heavy nor light weight) of the charging device plug is 98 grams. The charger's plastic casing is white. Folding the plug down and up is easy and feels very sturdy. Overall, this Insignia 32W USB-C and USB wall charger is a good product; it is a fast charger and compact.

Main charging hubs in my home are the bedroom, my office, and the kitchen. I sorely needed a versatile charging solution in the kitchen that would afford the convenience of a wall charger with ports to accommodate the most popular standards: USB-C and the standard USB-A. So far, this wall charger has been a great multi-tasker that serves electricity hungry devices including an Android Galaxy A15, a Hp Chromebook, a portable power station, earbuds, among other devices on rotation. Since cord connectors are moving in and out of the market at unpredictable rates, finding a wall charger that serves the new and the old was an unexpected relief. Another plus for this charger is the fold-flat prongs. For ease of travel packing, the unit's flattened surface transforms an electronic accessory that usually poses a potential puncture hazard into an obstacle-free space-saver. In my experience, the 32W speed while charging two devices simultaneously is sufficiently competitive with other options with only one dedicated port. Though price points are always in flux, $9.99 seemed a reasonable rate for a two-in-one solution while comparables were $7-8 higher. In the wall charger space, I would rate this item as a 'value buy' that is worthy of any frugal shopper's consideration. My expectations for long-term durability are high since, in my experience, Insignia products have had dependable performance over time. Usually, the landscape of tech platforms evolves before the brand's product has had time to fail.

The charger is pretty small, but when you get the box you think its huge. Thats my one complaint, way too much packaging! Other then that, take it out and plug in a USBC and a USB A and start charting. It is 32W which is decent for the tablet I'm using, but won't be enough if I did need to charge something bigger. I do like the fact that you also get a USB A to plug in a second item, which means I can add a second thing to charge. Like I said, its actually pretty small so easy to use even in a tight spot. The main thing for anyone look at this, make sure what you'll charge needs only 32W and not higher. Most tables are more like 9, but if you want this for a laptop it might not work as that will draw more power. So far I've used it for a bit and charge a table and a watch at the same time no problem. I'll probably use it to travel as its easy small and the plug does fold in so you don't have to worry about breaking them. If you need a quick little charger, look no further, this is a good option as long as you don't need something very powerful.

I am using this to charge my Fitbit Charge 6 watch. I was tired of using the computer to charge it. This finishes the charging much quicker. Should have done this a long time ago!

I am not a computer guru, but needed the correct charger for two items. The helpful personnel at Best Buy were very patient, listened to my needs, and recommended this particular charger and it's perfect! Both of my devices were able to be charged by this charger...just what I needed!
