I’d outgrown the tiny mini-fridge in my garage, so I was excited to upgrade to the Insignia 4.4 Cu. Ft. Mini Fridge. It’s roughly twice the footprint and triple the capacity of the little fridge it replaced, and the design is a huge improvement. The reversible door, sleek stainless steel and black finish, and smart door storage make it perfect as a dedicated beverage fridge, without wasting space on a freezer I’d never use. Pros: Reversible door and leveling feet for tight or awkward spots. Easy to use dial control targets 32–50°F for beverages and snacks. Interior usability: three adjustable glass shelves, covered crisper, LED lighting. Generous door storage (seven racks; up to eighteen 12‑oz cans and room for taller bottles as well. It’s much quieter than my little fridge was, and that didn’t make much noise to begin with. It holds a ton of drinks! As you can see in my photos, there’s already almost 2 24 packs of 12oz sodas in there, plus about 20 or so bigger and smaller energy drinks. Cons: No freezer might be a con for some people, but if you’re going to use this as a beverage fridge, you won’t miss it at all. I have no use for the crisper drawer, but I stuck some waters in there. You can fully remove it and more than likely fit more drinks down there. Overall: I really like this Insignia 4.4 Cu. Ft Mini-Fridge and really don’t have any complaints about it. Longevity is the only thing I can’t weigh in on, but if it’s like my other Insignia products, it should last a long time. If you need a beverage fridge for an office or a garage, you don’t really have to look any further than this one, unless you want more capacity.

Overall, the beautifully designed and energy-efficient Insignia 4.4 Cu. Ft. compact refrigerator with stainless steel doors is a good choice for space-constrained areas. On the outside, it measures 19.5"W (49.5 cm) x 21.4"D (54.3 cm) x 34"H (86 cm), (note, though, that it requires space around it for proper ventilation, e.g., 2" top/back, 1/2" sides), and on the inside, you get 4.4 Cu. Ft. (0.125 cu. meter) of usable refrigeration space, which should be suitable enough for dorm rooms, offices, or extra home storage. This fridge offers a good balance of compact size and useful capacity with can/bottle storage in the door, three adjustable shelves, a crisper drawer for veggies and fruits, and a reversible door for flexible placement. (By default, the door opens to the right.) Setting up the fridge was quite easy, as there was nothing to assemble. The leveling foot worked well for leveling the fridge on my uneven floors. However, setting up the thermostat was time-consuming because the temperature fluctuated a lot by 7°F (3°C). Typically, for optimal food preservation, the fridge temperature should be around 37°F (3°C). "Medium" is the right setting, but fine-tuning is necessary to avoid the fridge from cooling down to even below freezing and potentially damaging veggies and fruits. It might be a good idea to initially verify the temperature of the refrigerator on an ongoing basis by placing a thermometer in it. The interior yellowish light enhances usability at night. The cooling compressor of this fridge is quite audible and produces a higher-pitched noise when running. As such, it might not be a good idea to place the fridge in places where quietness is needed (such as bedrooms). You might not notice the sound in places of constant noise, though. (e.g., city noise, traffic noise, etc.). In summary, this fridge does what it's supposed to do, and it does it well enough except for a few things I mentioned earlier in my review.

The Insignia 4.4 Cu. Ft. Mini Fridge is a compact fridge for those who may need additional storage outside of their main refrigerator/freezer or live in an environment where they cannot accommodate a larger appliance. This model features a useful amount of fridge storage but does not have any freezer capability. After using it for a few weeks, I would say it is a useful appliance, but very basic. In the Box: - Mini Fridge - User Guide Unboxing/Setup: The mini fridge comes in packaging that allows it to be taken out by a single person as the box slides off from the top. Once unboxed, the unit has several pieces of plastic that need to be removed prior to use both inside and out. It is recommended to plug in the unit for several hours before using it. The biggest drawback I found while setting it up was the fact it only has ONE foot underneath that can be adjusted for leveling purposes. This means in certain situations it is impossible to keep it from rocking diagonally if your floor is not flat. In one area I set it up… this was the case. It should be very inexpensive to add two adjustable front feet on an appliance like this. I also noticed that it uses an incandescent light bulb on the inside. This is good as it should be able to be replaced if it were to burn out. Most appliances come with LED’s, which offer more light output. I would prefer LED, but some may not. It does feature a reversible door which is nice for getting it perfectly suited for one space. Usage: It has several fixed shelves and lots of door storage for cans. If you enjoy drinking, this fridge should be one to hold a lot of cans and/or bottles. It has a useful amount of space for those in a dorm or office that doesn’t have enough space for a larger appliance as it can fit under many desks or countertops. It is not rated for garage use but if you have an insulated, climate-controlled garage, I could see it being a great addition. Overall: I am disappointed by the fact it does not have two adjustable feet on the bottom to prevent situations from not being able to keep the unit from rocking. The interior provides ample space to store beverages, food, and other items but it lacks the capability to freeze which limits its usefulness to some.
