Hey, it’s a cable—there's just nothing too exciting or ground-breaking here to rave on about. USB-C & Lightning connectors—check. Braided jacket—got it. Does it charge fast? Yes. Does it sync and transfer data quickly? Yes to that, too. But you could probably say the same or similar about any of a hundred different bargain-bin to boutique brand charge/sync cables as well. So, is there anything here to distinguish these Insignia cables from a sea of similar offerings? Well, for starters, you get two in a pack white still maintaining a very reasonable price tag--it’s always nice to have a spare or another cable for a second charger. The USB-C and Lightning connectors also sport a bit of ribbed texturing on each side to make it easier to feel and/or grip while fumbling near the ports in the blind. The plugs are slimline so they should easily clear the charging port on just about any iPhone/iPad case. Finally, nearly 40% of the length of each connector is devoted to strain relief so the cable itself should be able to withstand a lot of plugging and unplugging...even if sharp bends are required at the USB-C or Lightning connectors. As for the cable itself, I personally find its 4-foot length to a be the sweet spot for anything I’ll be using for both charging and syncing. Three feet is often too short to reach my wall chargers, but six feet of primarily excess cable unspooling on a desktop can just get in the way. The braided jacket also has an incredibly tight weave, so it glides easily across surfaces and around corners yet will be less likely to fray or shred over time. About the only other detail of note is the Insignia cable’s rather pronounced--yet easily countered--memory retention. Usually, a new USB cable will stubbornly retain the many bends and folds it had while packaged. Once unpacked, those factory bends and folds tend to be very hard to retrain in new directions or even eliminate over time. These Insignia cables, however, are almost “posable” ...you can bend them in different directions, and they will, to some extent, retain those new bends, rather than just flop back down like a limp rubber band, or coil back up into their original shapes/orientations. This also means it is very easy to neatly straighten the cables and eliminate any of the unwanted folds and bends they came with. It’s nothing earth-shattering to be sure, but it is a nice-to-have (and unexpected) feature for an otherwise budget-oriented product. Overall, these Insignia cables represent a great value; they offer stellar performance for what they are designed to do and are seeming built for the long haul. There's not much more you could ask for--definitely recommended.

I've been using the Insignia 4-foot USB-C to Lightning cables for a couple of months now. Overall, they are durable, fast-charging, and the perfect length for all my iPhone charging needs. Inside the package were two braided nylon USB-C to Lightning cables. The 4-foot length is perfect for use on a desk and in the car. The color is called "moon gray," but it really is more of a silky white color. The nylon is very malleable and allows for the cables to have a thin profile. The connector ends are made of plastic and feature a rubber collar to protect them from fraying or breaking from too many bends. The connectors make solid connections to the USB socket in my car, phone chargers, and laptop, as well as to my iPhone. Over the last two months of testing, I have not experienced any fraying, kinking, or binding with these cables. After numerous cable insertions, the connectors have consistently maintained a solid and firm grip. While I wouldn't claim these are top-of-the-line cables, they are significantly better than the cheap plastic cables found at gas stations or the often subpar cables that come with iPhones. Moreover, their durability inspires confidence that they will last me until the foreseeable future.. With that said, Insignia makes great and affordable cables, and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Currently, all the latest technology is being designed with less USB-A ports and more USB-C ports. This is understandable as new standards have been implemented and as it is becoming common knowledge that USB-C provide a faster, more efficient charging speed. All that to say, my USB-A lightning cables are quickly becoming obsolete and I have been in dire need of replacements. This Insignia 2-pack of 4ft cables were just enough to no longer need to share cables between my various devices and to keep an extra for my purse portable charger. It was also a lifesaver in my electric rental car as a USB-C was the only port available. The cables work exactly as they should, fast charging, no issues whatsoever. The braided cords are not only sturdy and tangle-free, but they also keep the shape you set them to quite well. This is the first cable I have encountered that can keep its shape. Basically, if I roll it up and loop it on itself, it will stay that way in my purse without the need of a tie or wrap. Overall, I think these are a great value pack to keep up with the changing tech and stay connected. The 4ft are great for most general purposes and the high quality makes these are superb choice.

This set of 2 cords (lightning to usb-c) seem very durable and appear to charge my devices ok. The only issue I have is they fit in the port very snug and the casing is a very tight squeeze for my phone case. Otherwise they seem fine It’s a 2 pack of lightning to usb type c cords 4 ft in length. They have a braided wrap and the cable is on the stiff side so it appears to be very durable. They are no instructions needed for them. I plugged them into my iPad and iPhone and they started charging right away however I did not monitor them to see how fast they charge. So I assume they are sufficient. The box says they transfer 480 mbps. I am generally only using them for charging and not data so that’s all I am concerned with Shortly after I ordered these and before I received them I changed phones to the 16 and no longer needed the lightning cables. But my old iPad and family’s phones still do. I mentioned the case for the plug is a very tight fit and it’s snug to squeeze into the opening in my phone case. That’s my only real issue with the cable. It may scratch or wear out the charge opening in your phone case

The Insignia™ - 4' Lightning to USB Braided Charge-and-Sync Cable (2 Pack) is used for charging Apple’s iPhones, iPads, and iPods that use Apple’s proprietary lightning cable port. I happen to really like this cable, as its build is very sturdy with grippy end plugs – USB-C on one end and Apple’s lightning plug on the other. The soft white (moon gray) cable is braided, making it a stiffer cable than the usual plastic cables and considerably thicker. What really differentiates this cable from the others is the fact that it retains its shape, so that if you wrap it into a coil for example, it stays coiled. To me, this is the feature that I probably like the most about Insignia’s cable and reason enough to give it a 5-star rating. Insignia also states this cable can be used to transfer files and sync your device to a PC or laptop. Never having done this before, I gave it a try by simply plugging in my iPhone to a USB-C port on my desktop PC to see what would happen. I should have taken better notes, but the steps necessary for synching and transferring files loaded automatically and stepped me through the Phone Link installation process. Upon completion, I was able to see in Window’s File Explorer a directory called “Internal Storage”, with subfolders of all my iPhone photos, organized by year and month. This will certainly make it so easy to transfer photos to my desktop’s photo library. I can see this being very useful, not to mention my iPhone is charging while I’m connected. Also, with my phone connected to my desktop, I see notifications and incoming phone calls on my PC. There’s more to learn about this feature, but it’s exciting to see this new collaboration between my iPhone and desktop PC. One more reason for a 5-star rating!

I originally purchased a 6' length but that was just too long. I returned and purchased these 4' length cables and they really are great. They are much nicer (braided) than the ones that I received, but I wish they offered a 3' length. These cables charge fast. I definitely recommend these for your apple cellphone and air pods.

I have been use braided charging cables for my iPhone SE (2022) for years. I'm sure it's no surprise to anyone but the 'free' charging cable that Apple includes are such poor quality, so I'm very pleased with my new Insignia 4' Lighting to USB-C braided charger. This is my second Insignia braided lighting charger (and the third braided cable overall) and Insignia is a brand I trust. Although I've only used this new cable for about two months, it seems very sturdy and has been working well for me. In fact, both of my Insignia braided cables are well-made but the newer model, NS-MCA4CL2, has a better design than my previous one (NS-MC5CL4W24). I hope my explanation makes sense but both sides of connectors are encapsulated as one seamless piece, so that must make these cables more durable and resistant to tear and breakage. in fact, my non-Insignia braided cable that is made up of two connector pieces did split open. The charging speed is about the same as the other braided cables, so no complaints. I never use my charging cables to transfer any files. A pack of two braided cables at this price point is reasonable and I would recommend this product to anyone shopping for a reliable braided charging cables.

Brought these chargers for my car & home. Got tired of taking my home charger with me every time I left the house. It started breaking more because I was always taking it with me. Now I have 1 in my car permanently & I haven't had any issues with them thus far.

I borrowed a relative's high-speed charging cable for some of our older lightning devices, and the performance improvement in terms of reduced charge times is impressive. We recharge dead iPad minis in much less than half the time it took with the original charging cable. Since we have the new USB-C wall blocks, this is the way to go for our older lightning devices.
