Works perfectly. Been running 24/7 for a couple weeks now with zero issues. First night I turned it on it filled the bucket in under 7 hours. Now it fills the bucket about once every 12 hours. Keeps the humidity level at about 40% in a small barracks room (two bedrooms, one bath, no other living areas, in Georgia). Pros - Simple operation - Reliable - Relatively quiet - Pulls a lot of water Cons - Honestly can't think of any

I bought this as a Deal of the Day and have had it about a month. So far it is working great. It was easy to setup and very quiet. The connection for the drain was much easier than the dehumidifier being replaced. A garden hose screws on the back and the water drains away. It reminds you to check the filter, which is easy to forget. Hopefully it was continue to keep the basement dry for many years.

Fixed my problem with condensation on the windows in my bedroom. Quickly removes moisture. Only minor suggestions are the container is a little tricky to get back in and when it shuts off after reaching desired humidity, it will turn back on again in a few seconds. Best value that i found over other sites and works better than my previous unit from about 15 years ago

The mugginess I smell and icky feeling I get when I enter our master bedroom that's over 70% in humidity are gone when I had this dehumidifier working hard. In about 4 hours, it dropped the humidity level significantly and the bin is full. Boy, when I removed the bin, that's a lot of water it collected in the air. My kids were amazed when I emptied it. They asked how it got water inside and took the opportunity to teach them science. Wife, however, got alarmed that the side vent is blowing hot air. Also, took the opportunity to explain science to her. I'm not a nerd. I googled it :) Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase. When the 70-pint goes on Deal of the Day, I'll be sure to buy it to replace my 50-pint in the room and the 50-pint will go in the basement to dehumidify that. On a hot summer day, my central AC unit in the basement freezes due to the humidity so I hope this will help prevent that from happening. We'll see.

I bought this dehumidifier to replace an older one from a different manufacturer that stopped working. This dehumidifier is quiet and it removed the moisture in our basement in a couple of days. Now it just kicks on every once in awhile and keeps the basement dry!

Good dehumidifier. I bought this as a replacement for my basement dehumidifier and it is very quiet and efficient. Glad it has a drain hose option to save time not having to empty the collection bucket. Auto shutoff when desired humidity level is reached is great. It also shuts off if you're using the collection bucket and it's full. Filter light comes on when it's time to clean the filter and it's easy to clean. Additionally, the unit has timers that can be set relative to the unit running or shut off, although I haven't used these yet. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and delivery time was very quick.

I've owned this for about 18 months now and I love it. I live in Florida and my house is not airtight. The humidity down here is brutal, but this machine keeps right up with it. I am able to save on my A/C bill because I can be more comfortable at a higher temp. I love the 50 pint capacity and have to empty it about once a day. When I went on vacation I left it running with a hose attached expelling the water into a drain.

The Insignia 50 pint dehumidifier is perfect for the size of my baseball. In only a couple of days, I could tell the humidity was lowered and it didn’t smell so much like a basement. I recommend this product to anyone looking to decrease humidity in an area, as well as have an easy-to-program dehumidifier.

I purchased this on sale and gave it a try. It works as advertised and was very simple to setup. I used the hose connection so I didn’t have to empty the bucket. It runs smooth and the noise of the motor is not too loud, its similar to most 50 pint models. The blue LED is bright and the humidity shows in single increment, however, the adjustment is in increment of 5.

This dehumidifier is so nice. It’sa large capacity which is what I wanted sure my basement. It’s very easy to use and does the job. I hook up a hose so I don’t have to check the unit to empty the water.i also got it in the deal of the day which made it an exceptional value! Very happy with the unit.

Overall, I am pretty satisfied with this unit. I've had it for a couple of months now and can say that it has greatly improved the humidity levels in my house. I got this unit on Sale, so I can honestly say it's worth it. The only thing I wished it had was a built-in water pump to push the water out the basement. But for the price and the functionality, I recommend.

Such a Great Dehumidifier!!! We’ve had it over six months, once we put it in the basement humidity went down from 85% to 35% has casters makes it easy to move, so quiet, got a bucket to collect the water also a nice drain hole from the back to hook up a hose if you wanna skip emptying the bucket, we love it so so so so much, we recommend everyone to buy it!!

I'm pleasantly surprised with how quiet this is. We use it in our finished basement and there is no need to turn it off when watching TV downstairs. I would have purchased the 70 pint had I known better. This fills up overnight and needs to be changed frequently during the humid months. I have no complaints, this certainly does the job.

This is my second dehumidifier by Insignia, the first one was stolen by my parents because of how well it works. For the money I couldn't find anything better, but it worked so well last summer that after my parents took mine, I had to buy another one. The water reservoir is large enough for overnight duty and it's fairly easy to remove and empty out. I have no complaints about the unit. By the way, I run my unit 24.7 and have had no issues.

My basement was so humid, the concrete floor looked like it was sprayed with a hose. I purchased this dehumidifier and the floor was dry all summer and the musty smell was nonexistent. I would recommend attaching a hose and running it to a drain. Before I did that, the bucket in the back had to be emptied 3 times a day.

Works great. Noise is fine. Worked fine all summer long without any issue. Only complaint i have is it has short hose connector. the rubber thing that makes it waterproof prevents it from connecting to hose so i had to take it out in order to connect which i didn't have to do in my previous one. Overall good product.

Originally bought this as a temporary solution to the high humidity that a smart thermostat was reporting in my daughters place. She lives right on an artificial pond and said the AC was running all the time trying to make it feel cooler. I figured before she spent the money on having a dehumidifier added to her HVAC system she could try this to see if it would make any difference - it did & does. I set it up using a drain hose so she wouldn’t have to worry about dumping it out and within an hour water was coming out into the sink. She said that she was able to set the AC at a higher temp but the place feels so much cooler than before and this dehumidifier dies a great job of keeping itself regulated so even in the recent 103 degree heat she’s been cool & comfortable inside unlike anytime before this arrived.

I got the Insignia - 50 pint portable dehumidifier for my daughter and son-in-law as a gift. They live in Austin, Texas and experience very humid conditions in the summer. I am going to share her thoughts on the dehumidifier: “ Living in Texas is definitely humid in the summer. All I can say is this does the trick, it moves around our carpet with ease. It a little big ( they have a small apartment ), but because of its mobility it can be tucked away when not in use. We like to use it near our laundry room. Would recommend if you’ve been looking into getting a dehumidifier. 4 out of 5 stars !

Didn’t think I would use as much but left it on in my walk in closet for few hours and it sucked up a lot of moisture. Glad I got this on sale. It’s a bit noisy but that’s expected from a dehumidifier. Works as intended and not any different than name brand ones.
