Customer Ratings & Reviews

If you're in the market for an affordable TV that delivers decent performance, the Insignia 55" Class F30 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Fire TV might just be the one for you. While it's not the most premium option available, it has some standout features that make it a viable choice for those looking to save a few bucks without sacrificing too much on quality. Picture Quality Let's start with the picture quality. It's good, but not groundbreaking. The 4K UHD resolution ensures that the picture is clear and detailed, but it doesn't quite match the vibrancy and deep blacks you would find on a more expensive set. It's more than enough for casual viewing, though, and I never felt like I was missing out on any critical visual details. Sound and Audio The sound quality is serviceable for daily TV watching or streaming. While it might lack the depth and richness of high-end models, the audio is clear enough for dialogues and general programming. However, for a truly immersive experience, especially for movies or high-action sports, an external sound system or soundbar would be a valuable addition. User Interface and Apps The built-in Fire TV interface is a high point, offering a smooth user experience and a wide variety of apps right out of the box. It saves you the cost of buying an additional streaming device, and it's easy to navigate, even for those not accustomed to smart TVs. But when compared to other platforms like Android TV or Roku, it does feel somewhat restrictive in terms of customization options. Design and Build In terms of design and build, it's pretty basic. The plastic chassis won't win any design awards, but it's sturdy enough to get the job done. What really matters here is the screen, and it's decently framed, with acceptable bezels that don't distract from the viewing experience. Remote Control The remote control that comes with the TV is functional but can feel a bit cluttered with buttons. While the dedicated buttons for popular streaming services are a convenient touch, the layout takes a bit of time to get used to. Connectivity As far as ports and connectivity go, it covers the basics. You get multiple HDMI ports, a USB port, and the essential audio connections. However, if you have multiple devices to connect, like a soundbar, gaming console, and Blu-ray player, you might find the options limiting. Performance Across Different Types of Content I tried it with different kinds of content, from live sports to movies and series, and it performed decently across the board. The TV might not be the go-to choice for cinephiles or sports enthusiasts who want top-notch picture and sound, but for everyday viewing and streaming, it's entirely satisfactory. Energy Consumption Another aspect worth noting is its energy efficiency. Despite being a budget TV, it doesn't consume a lot of electricity, making it a sustainable choice for those conscious about their energy consumption. Final Thoughts Overall, the Insignia 55" Class F30 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Fire TV is a solid option for those on a budget. While it may not offer the most premium experience, it's a competent performer for its price range. If you're looking for a no-frills, affordable TV that does a decent job in most aspects, this model is definitely worth considering.

I got this TV at the end of December in 2022. The reviews were pretty good but most importantly it fit our budget. It’s now March of 2024. I wanted to wait for a while before I did a review because I wanted to see how it stood up to a little time. Well, it’s honestly been great. I’ve had no problems out of it. It has a good picture and is easy to understand and control. I have it hooked up to an old Sony 5.1 surround sound receiver that makes watching movies a bit more fun. I’ve gone online with it just like a tablet or something and surfed the internet. I play Luna games on Amazon on it.You can download about any TV app there is pretty easily and quickly. What I like most about it after about 15 months is how easy it makes it to navigate through the ever more complex worlds of streaming channels, back to cable TV and even to my antenna. It does have a no nonsense way of doing it. At first I played with the voice control Alexa but that’s really not my cup of tea. Although it was easy to do. Call me old fashioned but I will just use the remote control. Overall, I would recommend buying this TV to a friend or family member. You simply cannot beat it for the price and the support that comes with it.

I love this tv. The picture is nice and clear and bright. I really like all the apps and how easy they are to manage. This tv was a HUGE step up from the tv I had before. It mounyee on my wall pretty easily too. Not too heavy.

I recently purchased an Insignia TV and I am beyond impressed with its performance and features. The picture quality is absolutely stunning, providing sharp and vibrant colors that truly bring my favorite movies and shows to life. The sound quality is also exceptional, with clear and immersive audio that enhances the overall viewing experience. Whether I'm watching a blockbuster action film or a peaceful nature documentary, the Insignia TV delivers rich and dynamic sound that adds depth and realism to every scene. The user interface is incredibly user-friendly and intuitive. Navigating through the menu and accessing various apps and streaming services is a breeze, making it effortless to find and enjoy my favorite content. Plus, the remote control is nicely designed and ergonomic, making it comfortable to hold and operate. Another standout feature of the Insignia TV is its connectivity options. It offers multiple HDMI ports, allowing me to connect my gaming consoles, Blu-ray player, and other devices without having to constantly switch cables. Additionally, the built-in smart capabilities make it easy to stream content from popular platforms like Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube, providing endless entertainment options. In terms of design, the Insignia TV boasts a sleek and modern look that blends seamlessly into any living space. The slim bezels and slim profile give it an elegant and sophisticated appearance that adds a touch of style to my home theater setup. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my Insignia TV. It delivers outstanding performance, impressive features, and a visually appealing design. If you're in the market for a new TV, I highly recommend considering the Insignia brand. It's a fantastic choice that won't disappoint.

tv was so affordable that I was skeptical. its been a great tv, clear, easy to set up and so much lighter than the heavy dinosaur that we were watching. i wish I had bought this tv earlier.

This is the Insignia F30 Fire TV in 55 inch. There’s a lot to like about this TV, most of all the price, I got it for $270. It is fairly light weight, I was able to mount it myself, 4 HDMI ports, though I haven’t used any since Fire TV is built in. Now I had heard wonderful things about this TV so I thought hey I could use an extra TV and unless an OLED or QLED I refuse to spend over $300. I got my last 2 TVs, both 65 inch, for $299, both Roku. For the most part I don’t watch much Prime Video but back in the day had a fire stick. I did not like it. Now Fire is slower than Roku and Apple TV, and probably Google TV. The one Google TV my parents have glitches out a lot but it’s a 32 inch low end Hisense. When I say it’s slow I mean because of the Ads and need to load features and relayed content it lags. No it’s not my internet, the router reaches just fine. But Fire TV has every app you can think of, including Apple and NBA. Also you can stream from your phone Now the TV itself, I did not touch the color settings and it is perfect. It’s right next to a window and the glare is not half bad. The brights are bright, the darks are dark. I lowered the brightness because out of the box they want you to be amazed by how bright it is, but it’s a pain in the eyes. The speakers are very good for a 55 inch. I mean everyone has a Soundbar or some sort of sound system but still I will comment on the speakers. Compared to my Samsung, Vizio M, Philips and Sharp, this has the best speakers. Overall a good picture TV with built in Fire TV and great speakers for under $300 is a win-win. If Insignia/Best Buy made a Roku built in TV I would get that over this

This is a excellent tv for the price. Everything runs smoothly and fast. The picture quality is very good with everything being bright and clear. The sound is better then expected being very clear and can get very loud with me only needed to have volume between 10-20.

I researched tvs before buying since I really didn't know much about HDTVs. This model was rated pretty highly so when price dropped, I ordered immediately. Very easy install and connecti g to Amazon account made streaming easy to setup. Picture is beautiful! I know I'm behind in the times but this is my first nice tv in 15 years. Love it!

Nice color and size for our family room. Sound is good. Apps are pretty good. Only one problem I had, when I asked Total Tech installer to download the Spectrum app, he could find it, later to find out it doesn’t it have one. If I knew this, I would of bought another TV, I would now have to install Roku to get the app. You can’t hook up everything to HDM1(like my old TV) so you have to input to HDM3 to turn your station on, if it bumps off. No manual comes with TV therefore, you have to download to read. Overall, we bought it at a good Black Fridays price, and it’s doing the job. Just need to get use to it.

I’ve had this Fire TV for over 2 years now and it has been great. The screen quality is top notch and the fire stick voice to search is a life saver. It’s easy to use and setup is a breeze. It’s lightweight and easy to transport. I will be strictly only buying this brand of tv from now on with how convenient it is to have and use. The sound is clear and can get very loud just as good as surround sound.

I really like this tv, I remember I didn’t want to buy it because the brand it’s not one of the “popular” brands on market. Now I know insignia it’s a great brand with high quality on tv. Price is great also!

Great quality easy setup . Couldn’t ask for a more affordable 4k tv . The verdict is in GREAT 4K tv .

I got this TV on sale for under $300 and it came with a free Amazon Alexa. I love this TV so much. It has great picture and easy to use. I would totally recommend and actually my best friend ended up buying the same one!

Overall no complaints, great volume, easy setup, amazing quality. It does shut off after 15 mins. Of no activity, which is understandable. I’ll be honest, I had to do an exchange because the first tv, the picture was messed up. I wish they can let you plug it in before leaving the store.. other than that it was a very easy and quick exchange.

Perfect picture and fire stick features built in. Can’t beat for size, price, and quality.

Had this TV for a couple of months now and it’s the best purchase I have made. Color vibrance is phenomenal, they really put the smart in this tv for sure. I have $400 professional studio speakers and they sound the same making this tv really worth its price for audio. Visually pleasing when 4K is broadcasted through my Xbox Series X. Perfect for mounting in the living room. For price and quality I give this a 10/10.

Definitely an economy buy! Well worth it. Hangs great! It was compatible with the tv mount provided by BestBuy. Great sound quality and easy to setup. I’d buy it all over again!

Got this TV for tge backyard to mount... so i was not trying to spend a bunch of money. I have the top samnung tv inside my house, 4k version, not 8k, cost was about $5,000 for my samsung which is great picture. But back to the insignia, which cost about $450, tv is great and is just as good as any tv $1,000 tv. Picture is clean and crisp HD. I bought a siny bravia same size for about $1,200 and the picture quality was not as good as this TV. So higly recommended.

I recently replaced my old TV with this new model, and overall, I'm quite pleased with the upgrade, though there are a few points worth mentioning for potential buyers. First, the built-in sound quality. My old TV had a built-in soundbar, and I do miss the superior audio experience it provided. The sound on this new TV is decent, but it doesn't quite match the richness and depth of a dedicated soundbar. If high-quality audio is important to you, you might want to consider adding an external soundbar to your setup. In terms of picture quality, this TV excels. Watching streaming channels in 4K is a delight, with vibrant colors, sharp details, and smooth motion. It has truly enhanced my viewing experience, making everything from movies to sports look stunningly realistic. However, I have encountered a peculiar issue while watching YouTube on this TV. Occasionally, it glitches, which can be a bit annoying. It's not a major problem and doesn't happen frequently enough to be a deal-breaker, but it's something worth noting for anyone who spends a lot of time on YouTube. In summary, this TV is a fantastic choice for streaming 4K content, offering excellent picture quality. While the built-in sound isn't as impressive as a soundbar, it's adequate for most uses. Just be aware of the occasional glitch when using YouTube, and consider an external sound solution if audio quality is a priority for you.

Great picture. Vibrant color. Easy set up lightweight.
