Old plugs none of my two laptops worked on extension

Works well to extend and/or convert plug types for low power stuff. Got it as a Deal of the Day for a great price. You CAN... + Get a longer length by using two sets with any matching plug and jack at the middle. + Change one plug size to another by using a plug and non-matching jack. + Get two weak thin circular magnets (inside the box) and two matching flat metal pieces (inside the flap) that can be useful for crafts. * Fit an Adaptaplug plug in the plug end, but you may not get a reliable connection as the Adaptaplug pins are smaller than the fat pin used on these plugs. You CANNOT... - Accidentally (or intentionally) change the polarity of the connection - the jacks and plugs have one fat pin and one skinny pin, so they only fit one way. - Make a Plug-Plug or Jack-Jack cable - to change a connection from a plug to a jack or jack to plug. Plugs only fit on the black end, jacks only fit on the gray end. The pin spacing is different on the jacks vs the plugs. - Use the jacks and plugs on Adaptaplug sockets (AC/DC adapters or extension cables) - the fat pin is too fat to fit.

It's good item and you get different sizes. But this style is not meant to work with everything. Even it fits but still not able to go all the way in.

this dc cabe kit is quite the prize, its versitalle, all you have to do is plug in any size cable your working with, and theres so any different sizes if rou just use it one time its paid for itself, l highly recommend it,

It seems like a lot of the complaints on this item are because people are expecting too much. A lot of products use non-standard barrel sizes. I wouldn't expect a simple extension kit to have every barrel option. This has the most popular sizes, works as it should, and makes it pretty foolproof. I wish it was less foolproof so I could easily convert to tip negative for the few oddballs I have and just use a standard charger. But it is an extension, not a converter. At the closeout price it is a good, cheap option; especially in a post-RadioShack world.

I can’t stress enough how useful this wire extension kit is. Most devices that come with a large plug-in brick only have a 6-foot long cable if that. That means that devices such as routers, modems, digital photo frames, universal power adapters, Hue light hubs, recumbent exercise bikes, etc. etc. etc. Will have to be within 6 feet of the power. so before I got this extension kit. All my devices were huddled up in the same areas of the house. Now with the extension kit I did another 6 inches and I can space things out better. With this extension plug, I can hang some things on high on the wall if it makes sense (i.e. electronic picture frames). It also comes with adapters that should fit almost any size power input. This is one of the most useful electronic accessories I’ve purchased—so useful, I’ve purchased more than one.

One of my best purchases, in this time most of the mark done electronics either or always have a missing item and the saving is lost when am buying the charger. well, this product answers that question and is correctly priced

Bought this kit mostly because it was a deal-of-the-day. But it has been darn useful for charging things when you don't know where the original chargers are. There is only one thing I've come across so far that this did not have the right plug for.

Used this to relocate a Wi-Fi router. Would have needed to splice the power cable without the the extension kit. Very convenient to not to have to do so. Plus the multiple connector choices takes the guess-work out of selecting the right connector.

I have a clock I wished to wall mount that had a power cord that -- of course -- was way too short. This adaptive kit was easy to use and works very well for the devices where the cords were too short and I didn't want to use an extension cord.

Great as an extension and to use as an adapter if you don't have the right tip for something but don't need to buy an additional power supply.

Easy to use, a lot of connection options, nicely put together!

This cable is just something everyone should have in their collection. It is so convenient and allows you to extend your power supply for almost everything.

This performs exactly the way I was hoping it would. It's being used to power LED light platforms for transparent pieces of artwork (e.g. Swarovski and Wyland etc).

Excellent kit to have for a very good price. Can be used as an extension cable for just about every electronic unit you own.

Excellent cable for extending a power lead when it can’t be moved closer. Easy to use. Well built.

Poor design. The basic purpose to buy this is if the laptop power adapter is broken then use this to get power the laptop but instead it only provides an extension cable to connect with the working power adapter. Mine adapter is broken and I cant use this to get power. Plus I have 3 different laptops and none of the provided tip fits. I wasted my money on this useless product so please check before you buy. No I wont recommend to my freinds.

Amazing universal adapter kit. Eliminates the need to have multiple chargers so thats a plus

I've used it a few times when I couldn't find my power cables. I bought something off of ebay that didn't have a power cable. I'm able to use this as a replacement. I wish it came with a bag to hold everything.

Works perfect. Used it to for extra length for my router.
