Only had for about a month so works good !! and it was cheap I like that the basket made out of a rubber so it won't break like some others, and it lite in weight but enough that it can't so it can't tipped over. I like it just the right size for me. It has in the middle where u can shed plastic cards just not sure why cuz the blade is all the same so to me it shouldn't matter just put it in like the paper but whatever it sheds paper with staples and cards in it so that good, so it's a good small but big enough shedder does what other do and the price good!!

Aloha kakahiaka kakou. Soooo.... I bought this shredder for my college classroom. Wanted to make sure any paper products like handouts, worksheets, fliers, etc could be shredded for use in our compost bin to eventually be rendered useful for our classroom garden. That was in December ʻ18. Itʻs April ʻ19 and iʻm going about my business shredding more and more documents all amped on our efforts of reducing the amount of paperwork we use in the first place, but also at least composting what papers we DO use. This morning I'm going about my business prepping for today's class and shredding old memos, etc when I hear a grinding, slow, painful noise coming from the shredding. "Great....time to buy a new shredder..." was honestly my first thought. Store brands...what can you do?! I try to reverse it...more grinding...Run it forward...more grinding.... I unplug the shredder (safety first!!) and then lift if off itʻs bin and look at the shredding teeth. Nothing seems stuck, out of place, or out of the ordinary. I look inside the bin, there's this twisted metal object, right on top of the pile of otherwise expertly shredded paper. I know itʻs a quarter form the reeded edge and its size, and can see (whatʻs left of) the 2018 date on it. George Washington's mug is gone, but Liberty on the front is there. IDK whatʻs on the back, but just "PICTURED ROCK" is all I can read. "Okay...cool, a messed up quarter. Great. But does your shredder still work?" YES! IT DOES! I grab more of the papers that are destined for the compost heap, and they shred as expected. Iʻm dang impressed! Great job BestBuy with your Insignia brand!! Okay, itʻs almost class time, gotta go!! A hui hou!

Purchased Dec 21, 2019. Day one; I shredded 30 lbs of paper (weighed on a scale). I stacke the paper up and run it non-stop through the shredder until it overheated (all paper shredders have an auto-shut down to prevent overheating). This unit is rated for 3 minutes of continued running... I ran paper (10-12 sheets at a time) non stop for 26 minutes before I triggered the auto shut off. Cooled down for 8 minutes and ran it again for 15 minutes before I took a break. Staples - no problem. I did not run paper clips through the shredder (those are too large). Great machine....so far!

I have been using this shredder for two months now and have not had any problems with small daily uses. However, I did discover that it overheated after 30 minutes of use. Normally I would not have that much to shred so I wouldn't discredit its use for that reason. I wanted one that would shred a few pages a day, mostly from the mail, and have not found any fault with the shredder for that use.

Great shredder. I recommend it. Price was good. I love the size of it.

I had been wanting to get a shredder for a while now for home, but I found the high capacity electric ones too expensive. This Insignia model was on sale, and even though it only does 6 sheets at a time, it is perfect for home and at a great price.

I bought my new 6-sheet cross cut shredded, Small, inexpensive. You can use for cut paper and credit cards! It was a great deal!

Purchased this shredder as a replacement for an older unit. Did a great job without jamming or over heating. Shredded up to 10 papers with ease. Made a boring task fun and quick.

Though little heavy. Is Easy-to-use with carry on handle, it shreds paper documents and credit cards to virtually unreadable. Is a good purchased.

Long lasting great I purchased this back in 2017 it is 2019 it still works perfectly never have no problems just have to make sure you get the papers out of the actual sweater so it doesn’t stick clean it thoroughly and last forever

fabulous 10 sheet, cd, shredder....it's a great appliance that reduces time when you have a lot to shred....I absolutely love it! It is a great size!

Works great for what I need it to do. Perfect for my home office. Shreds my docs into tiny pieces both vertically and horizontally, which is very secure. Only downside is that it's a bit loud and the top isn't secured to the base/trash can. So if it tips over, expect everything inside to be on the floor.

Convenient size doesn’t take up a lot of space at all and it gets the job done. Glad I bought it

Awesome ! I love this product, so far so good. A powerful machine, I haven't use it a lot but I'm hoping a long use from this. Not too noisy but cuts like magic and I'm please with this purchase. Will update review

Good shredder. Have shredded credit cards and cd's. Didn't give 5 stars because of a lip on the input that makes you put pages in on an angle, and when you have more than one page if they are not perfect, it's difficult to enter pages.

This paper shredder shreds exactly 10 pieces of paper. But it seems to shred faster with less then 10 pieces of paper. I use less then 10 pieces of paper usually whenever I shred paper. I've shredded cards with it. It shreds cards very good.

I really Like it, I do recommend this one. Can shredder up to 6 pages at a time.
