We are very pleased with our recent deep freezer purchase from Best Buy, especially since we acquired it on sale. It is a suitable size for a three-bedroom apartment and fits perfectly in our kitchen. The setup was quite straightforward. Given that apartment refrigerators are typically small, this deep freezer will be exceptionally useful, allowing us to store a generous amount of meat and frozen snacks for the children. This means I will no longer need to visit the meat market every week, which is a great convenience. We are thoroughly satisfied with this acquisition.

I have been researching to purchase a deep freezer for quite some time now. Finally settling on this insignia deep freeze from Best buy for quality as well as price point. I have purchased several items from Best buy over the years, and have never been disappointed with their service and support. Is this unit is perfect for my family's needs. It is not too large to where it takes up too much space but not too small to where I'm wishing I bought a bigger one. In my photo, I've left two items on top for comparison reference. Very satisfied with my purchase and will be returning for my next item in the near future!

Upon open, I noticed obvious defects - multiple dents over 10 inches long - before even using it (photo attached). This was clearly not damage caused by me. Best Buy told me my only options were to transport this heavy refrigerator back myself or pay $99 for pickup of a defective product. I contacted them the same day via chat and phone, explained a medical situation that makes moving large appliances unsafe, and repeatedly asked for escalation. No one ever followed up. If you buy large appliances here, be aware: you may receive a defective item and be left without a reasonable path to resolution. I will not shop at Best Buy again and strongly advise others to be cautious. Happy to update this review if Best Buy resolves the issue.

One of the worst purchase experiences I have had with Best Buy. I brought the freezer home and noticed a dent. I called the store on the same day before I used it and was told they could send someone to come swap out for me once the order updated in their system. I was told that I could use it in the meantime. The order did not update as picked up for three days after I had picked up. I called everyday requesting an update and was told I had to wait. Once the order finally updated, they told me I had to return it myself to the store and they would ship out a new one. I explained that I had food in it and was told they will swap it out but the support person told me that was no longer an option. I’m stuck with a damaged appliance unless I’m willing to let my food go bad and drive to the damaged one to the store while I wait for Bestbuy to ship out a new appliance. Never again.

The headline is probably that it works. The annoying bit is as you can see in my pictures that the inside protective wall is clearly damaged. I have no idea how this even made it past inspection. I asked BestBuy for a refund and they would have swapped it out for me but I had already borrowed a friends car and lugged it into my basement before I found this damage and wasn't going to go through that rigmarole again. BestBuy offered me $8 to compensate and I negotiated them up to $10. very frustrating and will be sure to shop elsewhere next time.

I've purchased multiple small chest freezers and placed them in my garage and basement. Seems more convenient and cost effective than having, moving, and finding space for one really big one. Plus IF something malfunctions, you can adjust easier with multiple small ones vs one larger one. The multiple Insignia chest freezers I have are perfect for the price, size, and functionality. I also appreciate Insignia's included warranty that allows for easy returns/exchanges at Best Buy since Insignia is Best Buy's store brand. This one is the first one I have with the light inside, and it's a simple yet super helpful feature. I originally picked this up from my local Best Buy store, and it wasn't until I got it in the basement and out of the box that I saw two large dents on the bottom. Best Buy customer service quickly arranged for the local Best Buy store to deliver a new unit and take away the old one. This was really appreciated. Freezers working perfectly.

This is my second freezer. I purchased the first one and thought it was great then 1 month before the manufacturer warranty ran out I had a smell of wire burning that filled the room. Then I heard intermittent buzzing sounds which was coming from the freezer, afterwards I noticed the inside was defrosting. I had a hard time getting a satisfactory response. To make a long story short; it was replaced and it’s working fine. I noticed that the lining of the first freezer had just a few very small dents. I really don't know how that occurred but prior freezers that don't have the aluminum looking liner never had dents. Other than that I like this freezer. It runs quietly and keeps things frozen very well, I like that it has an interior light although the first freezer's light was longer and brighter. The light allows a visual even in the dark. It doesn’t have an excessive accumulation of frost. I think it has a good price point. Overall I'm satisfied as long as this one holds up. Freezers I've had in the past have lasted over 15yrs.

I bought this to replace a 5 cu ft chest freezer. This one is so much nicer. It's doesn't take up much more space but it's significantly bigger. I love the light inside the freezer. It has been very convenient as my old one didn't have a light. The power light on the outside is blue and easy to see. It helped me one day my power went off in the garage because I noticed it was off. If I hadn't noticed I may have had all my food spoil. It's not loud which is great for me. Also, being that I live in a very hot city, my garage can get very hot (it's not insulated like the rest of the house), so I love that this one is garage ready and can function in over 100 degree heat. This is a great chest freezer at a great price!

We had been waiting for a while to be restocked and finally caught it . This deep freezer works as expected and has a good storage capacity. The freezer was easy to move as I was able to move it in the house and into the basement with no problem. Glad we made the purchase.

This 7cu ft freezer has amble inside storage and doesn’t take up a lot of space in our garage. The interior lid light helps to find items. I purchased a 6 pack of metal bins online to keep my food organized & easily accessible.
