Super glad that I caught this as a clearance item, as I was originally looking at ANKER data/sync cables until I filtered the search, prioritizing cable length and transfer speed. The reason I went with this cable wasn't primarily because of the reduced price, but because of three things: (1)the connection-head sheaths being machine-milled metal, (2)the neck between the sheath and cable being reinforced with colored rubber-coated ABS, and (3)the cable being very-well braided while the underlying cable wall feels as though it's a flexible form of the rigid ABS at the cable's neck. >< >< >< The use cases that I've applied the cable towards without compromise, are as follows: Video output from gaming laptop, through capture card w/ USB-C to HDMI adapter, to OBS + Discord + VLC Charging gaming laptop via PD battery bank Supplemental power delivery to modded gaming laptop Data transfer via Nvidia RTX** on-board USB-C VR (intended) connection port; full 10Gbps achieved & held (factory-limit on GPU) Gameplay output to 3D Display glasses (Not VR headets) via Nvidia RTX** on-board USB-C VR (intended) connection port; "Tomb Raider (2013)+Rise", as well as "Crysis 3" were tested Audio output from Nvidia RTX** on-board USB-C VR (intended) connection port, into USB-C DAC, output to open-back IEM Audio output from Nvidia RTX** on-board USB-C VR (intended) connection port, through USB-C fe-to-fe extension, into open-back IEM w/ EQ via software - - - - - - **cases in which an RTX F.E. 20-series GPU was used

I purchased four of these cables to use with external solid state drives. They have worked very well. I have only observed 10Gbps with my drives, because that is the maximum they will go - I have yet to get an external drive that is rated at 20Gbps. The cables feel solid and well made. They were a good buy.

This cord was only $10. And it is well worth it! I currently use it to charge my MacBook Pro and it charges well. It also looks nice.

The 7’ Insignia Braided USB-C ended cable sounded great but the cable was four times as thick as the Apple cable and very stiff. It plugged in fine to my charging block but my iPhone 16 Pro was not as friendly with it. I will need to get a different type.

Not all data and charging cables are created equal, that's something I honestly used to not know for a really long time. Sure, I knew physically some were better than others, but as far as performance, I just assumed they all worked the same. I can assure you now that I was wrong, and this Insignia cable is proof positive of that, as it may just be the best performing usb-c cable I have. First thing you notice though is how thick it is and how nice the exterior is and how it feels. I think this may also be the thickest usb-c cable I have (and I have a LOT). It's just a solid cable and feels like it should last. What makes this cable worth the price though, is its performance when it comes to data transfer. I like seeing real numbers so I decided to put it to a test. I got one of my newest external SSDs, and selected a folder with 10 GB of files from my laptop to transfer to the SSD. First I used the usb-c cable that actually came with the SSD, which is a really thick and quality cable itself, and then I swapped just the cable with this Insignia cable and transferred the same 10GB folder. Using the original SSD cable, the transfer took 39.12 seconds. With this Insignia cable, that same transfer only took 22.48 seconds. That is a significant improvement and honestly had me thoroughly impressed. I did also tested it for charging a mobile device and it honestly performed about the same as other charging cables I have. When it comes to charging though, the length of this cable is what makes it nice. Overall, for something as simple as a usb-c cable, this one impressed me enough that I would definitely recommend it, even if just for the data transfer performance alone.

This USB C cable is both nicely designed and works exactly as you would expect. I also like that it is clearly labeled of its capabilities right on the ends of the plug. The braided material of the cable itself is also very clean and comfortable, while also making it easy to either unravel or roll up for storage. The braiding also makes it very easy to position without any issues of kinks or rigidity getting in the way if you're trying to run the cable through other obstacles. The wrap-around tie is also a nice touch. Making it easy to store it neatly when it's not in use, or if you want to slip it into your bag. The light green accent color is also nice, if you happen to have other similar colored cables to help distinguish this one apart from the others, so you could easily choose the cable with the right capabilities. Transfer speeds and charging both worked very well using this cable, and with any device I chose. I transferred photos from my phone and charged my headphones without any issues. Pros: nicely designed, braided cable is excellent, transfer speeds and charging met expectations Cons: I kind of wish the actual end of the cable was a bit shorter, so it wouldn't have to stick out as far from the device that it is plugged into, but that is a minor complaint.

If you need a good, well-built cable, this is a great option. If you need reliability for professional work, I might look elsewhere. I tried this cable with my Surface Laptop Studio 2 which has USB 4 / Thunderbolt 4 ports which should support up to 40gbps speeds. I used two external hard drives and quickly ran into some compatibility issues. Specifically, I could never get reliable connections to my Samsung T7 Shield 4TB. It worked great with my Samsung T7 Touch 2TB. The issue with my T7 Shield is that it would often lose connection or get stuck in a transfer freezing the test or process. I never experienced this issue with my T7 Touch hard drive so I assume it is either due to the form/size of the plug not fitting properly or the fact there is no certification for Thunderbolt or USB4 that I could find on the product. To specify, devices need to claim USB4 or Thunderbolt version certification if they want to put that branding on the device. I did not see any such branding on the website for this product, so I do not think it has been certified with either of those standards. This is not a deal breaker. If you want to use it to charge your phone or transfer files with your device, it should work great. Both hard drives I used were rated at 10gbps transfers which I was able to get on the T7 Touch. I also got quick charging on my S24 Ultra which is rated for 45 Watts. I do some photography on the side, and I would not rely on this cable to transfer files that I might make money off of though.

This usb-c cable is the thickest one I have ever purchased. It did come as a surprise that it was such a hefty cable. It should last a while as it is braided & hard to even bend at the connector. Will not even fit into tight fitting cell phone cases without a wide opening.

The Insignia 7’ USB-C to USB-C impresses right out of the box. The first thing I noticed is that this is a beefy USB-C to USB-C cable. Its construction is such that the cable holds its shape when straightened or bent; it stays where you put it and does not want to coil back up on itself. The braided fabric covering is durable and should do a good job protecting the cable when fished through tight spaces. With its 7’ length, 60W power rating, and 20Gbps data speeds, this Insignia Charge-and-Sync cable is perfect for use in connecting my PC to my USB-C dock with PD. The USB-C connectors at either end of the cable have substantial strain relief incorporated in their construction which should further enhance durability. The cable includes a stretchy adjustable strap to secure unused length, if needed. Data transfers are predictably quick. I connected a 2TB external SSD to my PC and copied a 2GB file from PC to SSD in just a few seconds. The same operation using a USB 3.0 port took the better part of a minute. The Insignia 7’ USB-C to USB-C Charge-and-Sync cable is a product of quality construction and an excellent value.

If you just need a basic charging cable for your phone, there are plenty of options. But when you need to step up your game, you’ll find those cables insufficient for advanced uses that require the ability for rapid data transfer. That’s where this braided cable from Insignia comes in, which features high speed data transfers up to 20 Gbps. Your mileage will vary of course depending on your devices, ports, operating system, software, etc… But the theoretical capacity is there depending on your use case. For me, I wanted a cable with that would allow me to attach my Nikon to my MacBook so I can capture photos and videos directly into my laptop. In photography, this is known as tethered shooting. Many cameras comes with a high-speed cable, including mine. But they are generally too short to be useful. This Insignia cable is 7’ in length and gives me plenty of reach to set up my camera where it needs to be. It also has solid strain relief, the kind needed to ensure a dedicated connection into the camera and laptop. It’s really annoying when more flimsy cables disconnect on you in the middle of a shoot. My only nit with this cable is I wish it came with an elbow connector as well.

I bought this cord to redeem a coupon/certificate but I am pleasantly surprised with the excellent build quality. The braided cord is pretty long and that is really beneficial if you are sitting on the couch and want to use your phone and the electric outlet is five feet away. The phone charges pretty fast too. Overall, a pretty solid value for money !!! So definitely worth purchasing..

I wish I had a lot to write about this cable, but unfortunately I don't. That's mostly because it does exactly what Best Buy's Insignia brand says it does, and it does it very well. It also does it in a package that is both solid and stylish. I'll hit on a few of the things I really like, and the one extremely, positively minor quibble that I have with it: 1. Solid: This cable is THICK. It is so solid, I'm pretty sure I'll still be using this in the 2030s (if we're still around). 2. Robust: The plugs themselves and their strain-relief are top notch. If anything, they may be a bit TOO much for some, but not me. I've had it with flimsy cables. I'd rather pay more for a cable that lasts, but fortunately I didn't really have to with this one. 3. Price: Yeah, it's $20 bucks for a cable, but it is a perfect length, and SHOULD last you darn near forever. If it doesn't, you really need to reevaluate your relationship with tech. My one and only quibble: Color: While personally, I dig the silver/green of this cable, it's nice, I am a firm believer in tech 'blending' and this thing doesn't blend. Also, with the nice braided cover, it is going to get SO VERY DIRTY. Oooh! Almost forgot! Another plus is the nice cable tie that is attached. Perfect for a cable like this.

Important Notice: this cable is THICK. That's definitely not a problem, but I did not expect it lol. The cable is high quality and i expect it to last quite a bit considering the materials used. Have not tested its full 240W charging capabilites but the fast data transfer is definitely there

I bought this to use as a display cable between my laptop and monitor. It works but not as flawlessly/smoothly as a regular HDMI cable. I have to turn off and turn on the monitor every time I want it to work, and I still end up with a error message from the monitor saying that I'm using an unqualified USB-C cable. Not sure if that's on the monitor, the cable, or both. Haven't tested the data transfer or charging speeds, but the build quality seems nice. Overall, it's a solid cable, and the length is great.

As good as I expected. I mean, in the end it's just a cord. But the quality is better than some of the others. This was to replace one that I gave to someone else, and they don't sell the one that I gave to that person anymore so I bought this instead. But I am happy with it.
