I purchased the tablet on pure curiosity. Used it and enjoyed it. I purchased an Insignia Powered USB Hub and connected a mouse and keyboard combo via the micro USB port. I installed Adobe Illustrator and worked on a few designs. I was surprised that this little tablet handled the workload like a champ. I managed to get about 5 hours of usage while on Illustrator. On another day, I watched Netflix and some YouTube videos and got about 4 hours of use before I needed to recharge. I basically used this tablet as a mini PC and was amazed at how much it can do. I've been using this tablet daily and have yet to find a problem with it. I recommend this tablet for anyone who's looking to buy a "laptop" on a low budget. This tablet has exceeded my expectations for such a low price. A++++

I wanted a tablet that was smaller and easier to carry than my older 10" tablet. The Insignia 8" tablet seemed to fit my need. The fact that its operating system was Windows 10 was intriguing but at less than $100.00 was it be a “full” version of Windows? Yes, it was! After the tablet updated the latest version of Windows, and what little bloatware that came with the tablet was removed, I had a Windows 10 “computer.” It easily paired with my bluetooth mouse, keyboard and headphones. It worked with a couple of eBook readers I tried and even ran a custom written database that was compiled with QuickBasic 64 (QB64). Chrome web browser and MS Live Mail work great and I could watch Xfinity streaming videos with no buffering. It’s not without some drawbacks. The small screen makes it difficult to manipulate some functions—a mouse helps—and there is some lag opening or closing windows and programs. It’s not a MS Surface tablet, but, overall it was far more than I expected.

I had this tablet for 24 hours and ultimately returned it as it did not suit my needs because I ended up doubling up on technology for which this was intended. HOWEVER... this tablet is great for what it is intended!!! I had planned to use it as a media device with a quick n dirty allowance for the web. It is fast, good colors on screen, simple to use and an overall better tablet than it's original Windows 8 iteration. Good tablet for very simple usage. It is Windows 10 OS which is simple and streamlined for all kinds of use. Windows 10, actually, improved the Insignia tablet because the OS is less complicated than Windows 8.1. Therefore Insignia's tablet shines. I realize a lot to say for someone who returned the item... but as stated, I doubled up on my needs. If my other device was not in the mix...THIS would be

Being a tablet it does not keep as long of a charge (day and a half), but the size is perfect as a basic reader, that can also do some windows tasks. Email, One note etc. Light weight plastic body, the screen has two point touch which is a positive. Low cost and easy to use for my 5-day a week commute. Small storage can be extended with a memory card. For me this worked on price. For others, another tablet might be their preference.

Bought this tablet to use in my work truck. Added a 128gb micro-sd card and a bluetooth keyboard folio and it works great. I sync it with my laptop via homegroup network when I get back to my desk at the end of the day. I like being able to run my regular Windows software on it. It will even power a portable usb hard-drive. Not as fast as my i5 laptop but plenty fast for basic needs. Boots up fast and battery life gets me through the day. I doubt you could do better for the $99 price and I got mine on sale for $79 and had Best Buy rewards too. Very happy with this purchase and would definitely buy again!

I bought a Chinese Dual boot (Chuwi Windows10/Android) tablet because of a low price. Even though it was in English, the Windows side was too frustrating to operate because of odd Chinese idiosyncrasies built into the OS. Then I bought the Insignia 8 inch Tablet. WOW! What a difference. The Insignia has a US version of Windows. It is obviously made for English thinking people and works more familiar to what we would expect. It is just the right size to fit in a small book sized briefcase but big enough to read and operate. It does not come with a micro to standard USB adapter so if you want to plug in your thumb drive you need to buy an adapter.

I lost my little tablet to an accident and was looking to replace it. This tablet is not great but will do for it. Screen is not bad and can live with it's speed. I love this 8 inches size as it's not little to work with it but also not that big to carry it around.

Got this tablet for my son. It has good storage and it was a good price for what you get. My son is hard on tablets so we did not want to spend a lot. The only thing I do not like is that this is a Microsoft tablet so you cannot download the usual apps

The Insignia NS-P08W7100 is an 8" tablet. To be sure, it is not intended to replace a desktop, laptop or 2-in-1. It is a consumption device intended for light activities such as surfing the Internet, checking Email and other non-CPU intensive activities. The tablet is preloaded with Windows 10 Home Edition and features 1GB of onboard memory and a 32GB eMMC drive. Onboard memory can be augmented by adding a MicroSDXC memory card up to 128GB. The box contains the tablet, power transformer and connecting cable. Little documentation is provided, but the user guide can be downloaded from the Internet. Once powered up (a four or five second press and hold of the power button is required to start the tablet), the tablet will begin the process of setting up using a Microsoft or Outlook account. After the process is complete, the tablet can be updated with the latest W10 Home OS as well as supplied apps. (A word of note at this point, due to the limited amount of onboard memory and the eMMC drive, the updates take a while to complete, so plan accordingly.). The rear of the table did get quite warm, but, never hot enough to trigger a thermal shutdown. Lastly, additional apps can be downloaded from the Windows Store. Being used to computer devices with, at least, a 10.1" screen, I found the 8" screen took some getting used to. Also requiring some getting used to is the lack of a supplied keyboard. After using the tablet for a while, I became comfortable using the onscreen keyboard. The tablet will accept Bluetooth devices, such as a mouse and keyboard. Of course, the total cost of a full set of accessories can easily exceed the cost of the tablet. To date, I've used the NS-P08W7100 to do Internet surfing and check Emails. It handles those tasks quite well. One negative to note here is the audio from the onboard speakers is on the low side, even when cranked up to full volume. Consider external speakers, or simulcasting on a TV. The display is OK considering the low price. The tablet is a Wi-Fi only device. It can connect to 2.4GHz channels, but it does NOT see any 5GHz signals. The small size makes the NS-P08W7100 easy to carry, especially when inserted into an appropriately sized folio. The NS-P08W7100 looks similar to the NuVision TM800W610L. It would not surprise me if both of these tablets come from the same manufacturer. There are a few differences (for example, the Insignia has 1 GB of onboard memory while the NuVision has 2 GB). As long as the NS-P08W7100 is operated within it's limits, it is a good device. Just don't expect it to behave if it is pushed too hard.

Brought it home and fully charged it. Then I installed all the apps important to me. The first quirk was it wouldn't charge while you were using it and in fact it lost charge. Second, sometimes games would hang and you could not see the screen but sounds would continue.

Bought this unit after returning a similar (Digiland) tablet that didn't keep time, right out of the box. This Insignia tablet works well, it's a full featured WIN10 computer in a small tablet. Wireless isn't the greatest, but it works. Overall it's well worth the price.

Good Windows tablet but could be better if it had anything but mono sound. It's great when used with earphones or headphones but not so good when using only the built in mono speaker. Everything else is more than satisfactory.

I haven't had any problems out of this tablet yet. It worked fine on vacation, which is what I bought it for. It is a bit slow, but tolerable. If you are not expecting a lightning fast windows tablet that you are going to use only occasionally, you won't be disappointed. If you are expecting to get a premium tablet for a hundred bucks, then you're holding your hopes too high. It's not a bad tablet, you just get what you pay for.

I couldn't believe how well this inexpensive WINDOWS tablet works! I use it to program my amateur radios in my go-bag, and to keep up with email while on the road.

I believe the specifications for this Windows 10 version incorrectly states 1GB RAM.It has 2GB of RAM. Runs very smoothly. Different than Android tablets, this operates more like a touchscreen PC. Uses Edge or IE11 browsers. Can update to latest Windows 10 build no problems. My only complaint would be quiet speaker but can't complain at this price. It's fast!

I purchased this tablet to use in my tractor trailer. Being compact, it is easier to use than my laptop. For the price I paid. It was well worth it!

I was looking for a small windows tablet to use on the go, especially on the train; to read, email, do some work, and etc.. The size is perfect and has all the features necessary. For the price, it is also convenient and good quality, without carrying an expensive laptop/tablet.
