I bought this to hold my flash off camera for my Canon EOS 60D and Canon flash. It is well constructed. I thought screws securely into the tripod mount on the camera, and it has two cold shoes, one vertical and one horizontal, which are friction fit. The cold shoes are a little loose for my flash cord which was a real pain until I added a cardboard shim (a piece of a business card) which holds it securely. The flash is held between 3 and 4.5 inches to the left of the normal flash mount on my camera. You can either hold the camera by the lens with your left hand as normal, or hold the molded grip on the arm which is quite comfortable. You can also use it on a tripod with its standard quarter inch mount.

So I just have to say that this is a neat little product and it actually makes filming with things like the Go Pro and your cell phone much easier and gives you a way to add lighting and things like that. -build quality - Its actually much better then I expected for something so cheap, and I say that not in a bad way because its pretty sturdy and does what you would want and need. Im just saying you should be disappointed with the quality its very solid and well build, doesn't look cheap at all. I will up date later if anything breaks so if this is still here its safe to say its holding up. Its metal so it should hold up pretty good! - form factor and how it feels- this actually fits in your hand really well and is very easy to use I would say for the price get it even if you don't think you need it yet. This has made filming with my small Mirrorless Camera much easier to hold and have a place for my pinky to sit, also adds a better way to film with the iPhone and GoPro. The handle feels pretty good in your hand as well and the angle makes it sit nice, if your hands are bigger than the camera then this would help. There is also a place on the bottom of their camera mount to put it on a tripod or something else so thats very useful and makes this an even better handle. I would get this again and it does great for all the things I wanted it for! This could even be a cheap way to add a front facing or swivel screen to your camera thats missing this feature, but for a much cheaper price then the others I have seen. I am happy with it and was surprised at the low price, and good quality.

Awesome little extension for some accessories. Use it with my gopro 5 and Joby Tripod. Super cool. Sturdy. Nice grip handle for more controlled shots

This mounting arm was such a well thought out piece of equipment. The screw at the bottom allows for you to adjust it to fit your camera in whatever way benefits you. I also love the additional mounts for a mic and/or flash. I bought it on clearance for $8 and feel like I got it for an absolute steal. Totally worth it!

I got this so I could mount my Sony FDR X3000 action cam to it and use the cold shoe for an external mic. Works pretty well, as long as it's not overloaded.

This is one essential piece of my four-piece field video shooting rig. It joins together my camera (Panasonic G7), microphone (Rode), and LED light (Insignia, the smaller one). Mount the camera on the right side of the arm with the handle on the left (so the camera controls are in your right hand and your left supports the rig), the light on the top cold shoe (so your thumb is on the switch), and the mic right on the camera. Perfect for shooting two-person videos out in the field (shooter plus talent), and it will also mount to a tripod, though I seldom use it that way. Works great for stills too. Light, compact, cheap, durable, indispensable.

I bought this to mount a mic and light to my Canon 80D. I needed something in a pinch and this did the trick! Solid construction and slim so it is easy to pack and doesn't take up any room! Highly recommended!

With the Insignia brand you can't go wrong, I shoot with a Canon 7D mark ii and a Canon 600 ExII flash which both are heavy with this Arm I did not had any issues with the weight and the handling of it. Although it looks a little thin but is sure holds it own weight. I bought the Insignia Arm because of the weight and the brand. My other Arm is bigger and heavier so adding the weight of the camera and flash it could get a bit hard to work around it at times, with this one it was a breeze. Additionally, this Arm has a second mount which can be use for an LED light or any other thing you want. Overall well built and strong Mounting Arm.

Cold Shoe Flash/Video Light Mounting Arm is a simple idea that really helps you control smaller video recording products. Anything heavy it may not work for you but if you need something cheap and will stabilize your shots this will help. Ideal for light camera setups, action cams, and phones, etc. Mine is being used a bit differently than it was designed for but it is built well and worth a buy. Have it available when you need something quick and simple to get the job done.

If you are a camera man, you know that all the accessories are a must. This is great bc it gives you a nice grip on the bar. It works with my both my light pack and microphone. It secures on tight and has a nice feel while holding it. Makes filming very comfortable!

This feels very sturdy and the grip is comfortable. I really needed a bracket to put my Flash on the side for better verticle photography but the flash is still above my camera, just to the side. It was designed to be on the left but the camera grip is in the right so if you rotated your camera upright it and the flash would be below your camera which is odd unless you want to snap your picture from the bottom instead the top. If you tried to put it to the right it won't work because of where the tripod mounting hole is placed on your DSLR. Maybe this would be better for a light source instead of your flash.

Good, sturdy mounting arm for your camera. Added this to a seldom used point-n-shoot camera along with an LED light (separate purchase) to re-purpose my old Canon as a webcam. Did the trick! Solid construction and great value.

It is simple and effective. I use it for a GoPro and phone setup with a light and mic. It does lean to one side when on a tripod. Small tripods will not hold it up.

This handle works well either with my camera mounted or my speed flash. It works well assisting with stabilizing my camera if I'm using at different angles. I have a better grip. The same goes with the speed flash if I don't want to mount it on my camera.

I needed a mounting arm for a shoot, and found this quickly at Best Buy. I was very happy I was able to get it so quickly, and it works very well with flash and light

I love this thing. Makes a huge difference to not just put my flash on top of my camera. I use my Canon Speedlite Transmitter ST-E3-RT and this it makes a hugggge difference. Totally recommend to all photographers

Works great to hold a phone or a small camera. Comes with the ability to mount two cold shoe items so maybe a light and a microphone good deal overall.

This item is exactly what I have been looking for use with my Sony Handicap digital movie camera. The price was less than the one on Amazon and it is just as well made.
