My first criteria for a flash and it was price. However this turned out to be quite a bargain. He works flawlessly with my Sony A6000 camera. It adds quite a bit of the light for portraits whether indoors or out. I've used it extensively with my green screen where it fills in all the shadows, allowing you to create composite pictures with nice sharp demarcation between the subject and the background. I also purchased a diffuser use with the flash, but have found myself not doing it due to the built-in infinity mode and white reflector card attached to the flash unit. It comes with a nice carrying case and a stand for use when it's in slave mode. This is a great unit and quite a bargain compared to the Sony branded ones. I don't think you will be disappointed.

my concern for any purchase of camera gear is if the item will work with the new cameras. this item was recommended by the store employee as she said it was the same one she has and YES it works just fine for use with both my sony a7II and my a6000 cameras. the a7II does not have a pop flash like the 6000, but this unit is relatively small and easy to carry for needed work. the case it comes in is lightly padded and allows me to carry the flash without worry about scratching or damage in my bag. it also doesn't need 4 double a batteries which is nice when you cant seem to find a pair of batteries and have to buy some on vacation for 10 dollars each...

I love my RX10 iii but found the flash lacking, plus it cast lens shadows in wide shots. Bought this flash figuring I'd try it out and see how it worked, if not well I'd return it and buy the more expensive Sony flash. I'm very happy with this flash, it's a good size without being too big. Built in diffuser works great, especially for bounce flash. I even like that the orange LCD matches the orange LCD on my camera! My only complaint is that the focus-assist beam does not work with my camera, but this seems to be an issue with many flashes on Sony cameras (e mount, RX, etc.).

I was shooting an event at the Mall of America and instead of using my manual external flash I popped into Best Buy and saw that they basically had one alternative to the Sony branded (expensive) options for my Sony A6000. I was skeptical as it was an Insignia brand which can vary pretty widely on quality and figured if it wasn't good I would just bring it back. My first surprise was that it only took 2 batteries. I'm used to the four battery set up or even external power set ups. I thought, great, this thing is a toy at best but again, might as well give it a shot. The build quality is actually really nice, up there with any branded equipment I've had and it comes with the standard packaging stuff. I turned it on, fired off a few full power shots to form the capacitor (old habit) and decided to see what it would do. I was in the middle of the seating 30-50 feet away from the action depending on who was speaking and how far they wandered on the stage. It did exactly what it was supposed to. The recycling times were no bad and I used it sparingly as I don't generally use flash during speaking gigs because it distracts everyone but I have to say, for what I wanted it to do, it did it easily and well. No complaints. It's light, compact, isn't bigger than the A6000 I was using it on and I would recommend it to anyone that needs a casual punch of light. It may not be up to a hard usage task like a fashion show or something but then again, neither are most units.

This is a very nice flash. The price was what drew my attention but the flash is much better than expected. The moderate size makes it handy to carry and the performance is everything I need. Highly recommend.

This light works very well. Not too big,not too heavy. Easy to use and easily fits in my camera bag with other accessories. Adjustability and ease of use are awesome.

While I prefer taking pictures with available light, I've been in some situations when the flash built-in to my Sony Alpha 6000 provided mediocre results. This flash that does a lot for the money. It offers coverage over a range of local lengths. It can be moved into various positions for bounce lighting. And, it's lightweight. Recommended!

Great flash that even works great. Fit my Sony a 6000 camera perfect and integrated with the camera perfect. Rotates for bounce flash and includes a diffuser. Haven’t used it long enough to give you a review of battery life.

It's a pretty sophisticated unit considering the price. Besides basic flash capabilities, it has a strobe mode that lets you capture multiple images in a single, long exposure. It works well with Sony A7ii. But, I believe it's being discontinued. Not sure why.

Needed a flash for my Sony A7II (no pop up flash) and didn't want to spend the money For Sony so I picked up the Compact TTL when it was on sale for $39 and for the price you can't go wrong. Works perfectly with my camera and for as seldom as I need a flash its worth the cost.

Bought this flash because I had an event to do. This flash covers a lot of space in a room very well. I got it open box as well and it got the job done on my Sony a7iii

I picked this up at a clearance price, figuring it would be a good basic flash to carry with my Sony a6000. I was very surprised at the functionality of this flash. The light is stronger than I expected and the flash has some great advanced features. I tried it with a Sony A7II set for through the lens auto exposure and it worked very well. A good value even at full price.

This flash is very useful. It ‘s small size makes it easy to a carry a long and power of the flash really lights up things inn low light areas.

Amazing flash works much better than the built in that’s on my camera, which caused shadows, no more shadows yay

I have a Sony 7A camera the TTL didn’t always fire, did not always sync, the manual option did not work, battery dies quick only two AA batteries

awesome little flash. works effortlessly on my sony a6300. you cant beat it for the price.

Works great with my sony a6000. The light on he A6000 is terrible and adding this to the camera works perfectly
