I am using Insignia™ - Mini DisplayPort-to-VGA Adapter for over a year now. Never faced any issue. Does the work it supposed to do and I would recommend it to my friend.

I needed it to connect my Samsung Monitor to my Mac Desktop computer. In the pic the Samsung is on the right and Mac in the middle. Works Great!!

First of all, this is a universal adapter. It says "For Mac" on the box but it works on PCs. I have two older monitors that both use VGA connectors but my new laptop only has (2) "Mini Display Ports" (and 1 HDMI). I have two of these adapters and use both of my VGA monitors and they work perfectly. A little expensive but cheaper than buying new monitors.

Bought a mini computer with multiple USB, a mini display port, HDMI port and a few other plug in things. My old monitors we're VGA so I was looking for an adapter. The sales man was very helpful. This one and another to the HDMI ports have me up and viewing in no time.

Connected well and worked for two days with no issues. Didn't move the monitor or computer and came home the third day and somehow it was stripped up at the top by less than 0.5 cm. I used electrical tape to reattach securely and for a few weeks it would work on and off. Now, no matter how I reposition the cable, it will not work.

This mini display VGA-Adapter was user friendly,inexpensive and allowed me to connect and use my favorite ViewSonic Monitor as a second display unit with my desk top computer.I recommend this to anyone that needs to update and use their favorite electronics.

Using the built in Min-Display Port on my ThinkPad, this adapter allowed the notebook to easily connect to the VGA port of a digital projector. No adjustments or setting changes were required. It just worked and did what it was suppose to do! Very happy.

great product easy to install save a lot of money. needed it for work thought i would have to by a new mac but no need with this i was able to connect my mac mini to my dell monitor it work great without any issues

I had the older generation of this cord attached to my old spare monitor when I used to split screen with my Mac. Well we had a house fire and my spare monitor happened to be in a box in storage off site and I needed to be able to do split screen while working on inventory for the insurance. Went to Best Buy to pick this one up to replace the old one so that I could connect to my new MacBook Air. worked flawlessly. Didn't even have to do anything in settings. Just instantly did what I wanted it to do. My tedious job way more tolerable.

This adapter works well for connecting a Mac Laptop to a VGA projector. It is compact and travels well. Don't forget that you will need a VGA cable as well.

If your looking for an affordable adapter this is it. Very easy to use. Not bulky and a great quality.

Went into the store looking for the Official Microsoft Version of this device. There wasn't one but the Best Buy staff member handed me this one (open box) and assured me it would do the job of connecting my Surface Pro 4 to a VGA monitor. It connected easily and the monitor has been my main display on my desk at home for over two weeks now. Can't ask for more than 'working perfectly' at less than half the price.

I went to pick up a conversion cable to go from the thunderbolt display on my Macbook Pro to a VGA input on a projector. The sales person pointed out the insignia brand which was cheaper than the Apple brand. I have always bought Apple products including adapters and outboard equipment. I decided to give the insignia adapter a try. So far it has worked like a charm. No issues and I was able to save money. Win, win.

Great product, easy to use and set up. Video is very clear and crisp and has been working really well. Definitely recommend this product to any one with a VGA(older monitor) set up situation. Was looking for a solution to connect an old (2012) MacBook to a new monitor. Monitor had a vga connection and this connector did the trick via the Thunderbolt port on the MBP (and a vga line that went from this connector to the monitor). Easy way to use an old machine.
