I love this monitor riser. It comes fully assembled and made of a sturdy metal. So much better than the plastic risers that fall apart as you assemble them. Very versatile and the correct height for what is needed. We range from 5’5” to 5’8” in our household and everyone likes the height. It is non-adjustable but will suit most people. You can use for a monitor, laptop, coffee maker or even a printer. You have some storage underneath for office supplies, ink or whatever. You can purchase a separate organizer to slip underneath to keep everything neat. The black matte finish blends into the background but wouldn’t it be fun to have some color? That would make me smile every day. This stand is an upgraded version from a previous Insignia riser that we own. This one holds more weight. We will need more for an office upgrade that I am working on. It really bothers me when monitors are too low. When you have multiple monitors, it helps to make a consistent level viewing area. Affordable, sturdy and useful – highly recommended.

The Insignia Monitor Riser is a practical and well-made addition to any compact workspace. One of the biggest advantages is the open space underneath, which allows me to tuck my keyboard away whenever I need extra desk space for writing, drawing, or other projects. I use it in a small computer nook in our dining room, and it has helped keep the area much more organized while making the limited workspace feel less cluttered. I also appreciate the matte finish. Unlike glossy surfaces, it doesn't easily show fingerprints or minor scratches, and it helps prevent items from sliding around. The riser comes fully assembled, so it's ready to use straight out of the box with no setup required. Although it's lightweight and easy to move, the sturdy metal construction feels solid and supports my monitor well. The only downside for me is the height. Since I'm only 5'2", I realized after using it that it raises my monitor just a little higher than what's comfortable for extended use. Rather than letting it go to waste, I plan to repurpose it as a printer stand. The space underneath will be perfect for storing a ream of printer paper or other office supplies, making even better use of the available space. Overall, it's a versatile, durable riser that works especially well if the height fits your ergonomic needs.

This Insignia monitor riser is a nice addition to my desk. I appreciate how well made and sturdy it is. (The box used to ship the Insignia monitor riser was in really rough shape and I was very concerned it was going to be damaged. It was in perfect condition when I opened the box.) I was so thankful for how well the riser is constructed. The riser’s factory packaging is just a piece of cardboard wrapped around the riser, which is great as when it comes in you are ready to go! No assembly required at all. The matte finish is nice and seems like it will hold up for a long time. I am currently using it to have a spot for my iPad when I’m using it with my iMac. It will be perfect when I set up a second monitor when I have days I need to do that as well. This risers hight is also great to raise your monitor to a higher level to help with neck strain. I personally love a minimalist look and design and this fits the bill. This Insignia monitor riser is definitely one I would recommend to friends and would love to have another for my work computer in the future.

The Insignia Monitor Riser keeps it simple with its ergonomic comfort while occupying minimal physical space. In my case, it has become my favorite laptop riser. Out of the box, there’s no assembly required. The solid build is the first thing you notice. I own a hard plastic sturdy monitor riser but it now looks a bit flimsy next to the insignia. The heavy-duty metal frame makes you feel reassured that there won’t be any chances of failure. At less than 10 inches deep and 14 and ¾ inches wide, and capable of supporting up to 44 pounds, standard monitors easily fit on the riser. In my case, my big gaming monitor has a supporting base as big as this riser and would not fit comfortably. However, I use it as a laptop riser in my living room. I often work on my laptop while watching TV in the living room and at about 4 inches high, it’s the perfect comfortable height when placed on the lower coffee table. It brings the screen at a comfortable eye level without obstructing my TV viewing. Additionally, the perforated mesh pattern on the top surface helps dissipate the heat and allows my laptop to run cool. Insignia built a no nonsense riser without integrated ports or connections. It’s really sturdy and doesn’t vibrate or flex while typing. The simple modern design looks nice in any room. The clearance below helps with organizing and decluttering your computer gear. A full size keyboard fits well underneath but in my case, I keep a calculator, a favorite book and my kindle. Someone in my household liked the look but criticized its lack of adjustments. I had no complaints since I was expecting this riser to be strictly practical. To conclude, I will say again that the Insignia Monitor Riser has become my favorite laptop riser. It does its job really well without overcomplicating it. It’s built tough, it looks great and saves space. It will accommodate any standard monitors without flexing a “muscle”. I had got a vivo taller monitor stand for my ASUS 27” gaming monitor and for a while it was decent; it’s just that the base at the stand was a while solid type of a rounded thick “V” shape - and it extended to 15.25” inches from the base.. to the center of the VESA bracket for my monitor. So I decided to do some sort of reorganizing and some space saving where I can put stuff under a monitor this time. This is where this monitor riser comes in. It’s simple and straightforward; but I had to go through my storage and retrieved the box which had housed my monitor, and took out the included short stand being two attachments. And so I took my time assembling that to the monitor and thereafter cleared and cleaned a part of my desk and set the riser on top, and then the monitor with the affixed base. And it actually maintained the same monitor height just as before when I had the Vivo desktop monitor stand. I needed to stow away some things underneath like a closed laptop in a case and mice, and other stuff and even to the sides of the top of the riser itself. So yes it helps elevate the monitor well and can stow things underneath and its solid and stable with the rubber feet at the bottom. Highly recommend

Insignia Monitor Riser - Black For something so simple I was surprised at how much I love this thing. The frame is just shy of 15 inches wide by just over 9 inches deep, giving your devices about a 4-inch rise. It holds a maximum of 44 pounds which is more than enough to prop up my Apple iMac computer to a much more comfortable viewing angle. The metal frame has just enough curves and a rounded front edge to look fashionable without looking industrial. This freed up enough space under the Apple iMac to place my Apple Mac mini underneath and thanks to the vented shelf I don’t have to worry about the Mac mini overheating. I originally picked this up expecting it to be little more than a sturdy platform, but it quickly became one of those desk accessories that quietly improves your workspace every single day. Raising the monitor by four inches doesn’t sound like much on paper, but it made a noticeable difference in my posture. Instead of constantly looking slightly downward at the display, the screen now sits much closer to eye level. During a full workday that small adjustment really does reduce the amount of neck strain I experience. The extra storage underneath the stand ended up being just as valuable as the added monitor height. The Apple Mac mini fits underneath almost perfectly, keeping it protected while still leaving enough room around the sides for airflow. The open design also makes cable management a little easier since there is more room to route cables behind the computer instead of having them spread across the desk surface. My desktop immediately looked cleaner without buying any additional organizers. Construction quality is much better than I expected. The metal frame feels solid with no noticeable flex or wobble once the monitor is in place. Even when pressing on the corners or shifting the monitor around, the stand remains planted on the desk. Some inexpensive monitor stands feel hollow or flimsy, but this one has enough weight to inspire confidence without becoming unnecessarily heavy. The finish is also nicely done. It has a clean, understated appearance that blends into almost any office without drawing attention to itself. Whether your desk is wood, glass, or laminate, the stand looks like it belongs there rather than feeling like an afterthought. It pairs especially well with Apple’s minimalist design language, which was one of the reasons I chose it in the first place. Assembly couldn’t have been easier because there really isn’t any assembly to speak of. Simply remove it from the packaging, place it on the desk, and set your monitor on top. Within a couple of minutes my workspace was completely reorganized. Sometimes the best accessories are the ones that don’t require reading an instruction manual before they become useful. Although I’m using it with an Apple iMac, there is nothing Apple-specific about the design. It should work equally well with most monitors, small televisions, printers, speakers, or even laptops provided they stay within the 44-pound weight limit. If you’re trying to maximize a small desk, having additional vertical storage can make a surprising difference. The space underneath could also be used for an external hard drive, docking station, notebook, keyboard, or other desktop accessories when they aren’t being used. The vented top is another thoughtful touch. It would have been easy for the manufacturer to use a solid sheet of metal, but the ventilation openings allow heat to escape from electronics sitting underneath or on top of the stand. For devices like the Mac mini that rely on passive airflow around the chassis, that’s a nice design decision. It shows that someone actually considered how people would use the product instead of simply making a basic shelf. Another benefit I didn’t expect was how much it helped with organization. Once the Mac mini moved underneath the stand, it naturally encouraged me to find permanent homes for a few other accessories as well. My desktop suddenly had enough open space to comfortably use a notebook, keep my phone nearby, and still have room for a cup of coffee without everything feeling crowded. It’s amazing how reclaiming just a few inches of desk space can completely change how a workspace feels. Over the past several days I’ve found myself appreciating the stand more and more simply because I no longer think about it. It quietly does exactly what it was designed to do. It supports the monitor securely, improves ergonomics, creates additional storage, and keeps the desk looking tidy. Those aren’t flashy features, but they’re the kinds of improvements that make using a computer every day just a little more enjoyable. If I had one suggestion for improvement, it would be to offer the stand in a few additional sizes. This model is perfect for my setup, but people using ultrawide monitors or larger all-in-one computers might appreciate a wider version. Likewise, someone with a very compact desk might benefit from a smaller model while still enjoying the same build quality and design. Overall, this is one of those products that’s difficult to get excited about until you’ve actually used it. Before installing it I simply wanted to raise my monitor a few inches. After living with it, I realized it also improved the comfort, organization, and overall appearance of my workspace. It’s sturdy, attractive, thoughtfully designed, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Sometimes the simplest products end up making the biggest difference, and that’s exactly how I feel about this monitor stand.

This monitor riser is great and I plan to get a couple more. It is very sturdy and well made even though it’s lightweight and easy to carry. I think the height is perfect for me. The cost is very reasonable too. It definitely works great as a monitor riser with the little holes that help air flow through. I do use it as a monitor riser upstairs but downstairs I like to use it as a laptop stand. I didn’t realize how hot the bottom of my laptop got on the table. I feel much better putting my laptop on top of this riser with air moving all around it. Now the bottom of my laptop stays at room temperature, really. It’s also like having a space saver shelf because I keep my folder, notebook and pens on the underside of this riser. This makes it easy for me to keep all the items I need together for quick and easy access. It hasn’t gotten hot at all since I’ve been using this. I also realized that it works well as a lap desk for my laptop too if I’m using it while I’m on my bed or on the recliner. My son said he needs it for his xbox and controllers and he tried this and it worked perfectly. But I told him that he has to wait until I order a couple more.

I am writing this review for the Insignia Monitor Riser. This is one of those items I didn’t know I needed until I got it. It has really made a huge difference in my work comfort. More on that later… The riser is surprisingly very-well built out of quality steel material. It is rigid, and welded together, rather than held together by screws and nuts, and best of all, extremely light weight. The product specs state it can hold up to 44 pounds, but judging by its quality build, I would venture to say it could probably hold a lot more. I can’t swear to it, but I’m guessing it is powder-coated rather than painted. The finish is absolutely top-notch. As I started off saying, I didn’t know I needed the riser until I started using it. When I sat down in front of my computer after placing my monitor on the riser, the first thing I noticed was that I was actually comfortable. I wasn’t having to look at the monitor from an angle, it was right there in front of my face. No stress on my neck or shoulders. I love the open design of the riser. Cables can go right under, rather than around it. This is really one of the greatest additions to my work station. I can see several more in my future.
