The printed product was exceptional, and I would undoubtedly purchase it again. Although I was initially hesitant to use a non-name brand, the quality of this product is comparable. My print in the picture started with Bambu filament it ran out during the print and I reloaded with this product. You could not tell a difference.

Pros: prints reliably out the of the box; box and spool show print parameters for different filament types Cons: none Review: For those new to 3D printing, PLA is generally the widely-used "all-purpose" filament for 3D printing, striking the perfect balance of cost, reliability/ease of use, and durability. In this regard, Insignia has delivered on all three categories. Out of the box, Insignia’s PLA filament printed with no major issues on my Elegoo Neptune 4 Max using default PLA settings and default "fast" (0.2mm layer height) printing. My first print was a stand to display small toy cars, which involves printing multiple pieces and assembling them together. The pieces turned out perfectly and the stand fit together without any issues. I then printed a fidget toy for my daughter, which included two pieces that fit together well. As a more minor point, I do like that Insignia provides a table on the back of the box listing the different print settings used for different filament types. I also like that the spool is well labeled with the type of filament and printer settings, which is more convenient than trying to look things up if you're switching spools while at the printer.

I’ll admit, when I first saw this Insignia Black PLA, I expected it to be just okay. When you buy budget filament, you usually brace yourself for a fight with clogs, weird diameter swings, or brittle plastic. Instead, this stuff turned out to be the quiet, unassuming hero of my workshop—the kind of reliable performer that just shows up and gets the job done without complaining. I ran this spool through my Bambu Lab P2S using the absolute default "Generic PLA" profile in Bambu Studio. I didn't spend a single second tuning settings or calibrating flow rates. I just threw it on the spool holder, hit print on a standard Benchy, and watched it go. The results were flawless. The Benchy came out incredibly clean with no stringing, perfect layer lines, and excellent bed adhesion on my textured plate. It handled the high speeds of the P2S without a single hiccup. This filament easily rivals Bambu’s own Basic PLA in print quality, but at a fraction of the cost. It gives you that exact same set-it-and-forget-it convenience, delivering a deep, clean black finish that looks great on functional parts. If you are tired of overpaying for daily prototyping filament, this is a total budget bargain that punches way above its weight class.

The product printed great and there were no tangles or any other issues. Did not test the strength of the layer adhesion, but seems to be good so far. I plan on getting more of this filament in bulk since i've had issues with tangles from the Bambu Lab black PLA that i've been using. The only downside is the cardboard roll that it comes on so I can't use it in my Bambu Lab P1S AMS without adding bumpers to the outer edges of the spool.

Prints very well in a Bambu Lab P2S. No issues yet. Spool is cardboard/pressboard but is sturdy and has not left any dust yet in my AMS. Will purchase again.

I am using a Bambu A1 and an A1 mini. This filament has instantly become my go to! The results are wonderful and ready to use out of the box.

I didn't have much expectations when first buying Insignia branded filaments, but after printing with it, I have no complaints on quality whatsoever. Using with Bambu slicer and P2S as generic PLA, the default print settings worked good with no problem. Not a big fan of the spool being made of cardboard, would rather have these be refill spools and print my own, but for the price it's not a big deal.

This filament is really easy to use. I like its strength and the pieces come out really smooth.

I’ve been 3D printing for years and am on my 5th printer…. Tried most of the brands out there. I was a bit skeptical when purchasing, but needed something in a pinch. Turns out this filament was great! If ever on sale, or need something quickly, this will be my go-to!

The price is awesome for the quality. No issues and locally available at my bestbuy. Don’t spend double on Bambu!!

I’ve been using this filament for several prints, and the results have been excellent. The filament feeds smoothly, has consistent diameter, and produces clean prints with good layer adhesion. I experienced no clogging or tangling, and the surface finish looks great. It works perfectly for everyday PLA printing. I would definitely recommend it.

So far this has been good value for the money. We have made quality items, juat need more xolors now.

I have a Bambu Lab P1S and I've picked up filaments from a few different companies over the years. I've been seeing Best Buy take on more 3D printing products and while I've seen Bambu Lab filaments on the site, I recently saw and was curious about their Insignia branded filaments. I tend to buy my filaments when I can get a good deal, I'll buy them up to 16 spools at a time in order to get pricing down towards $11/kg instead of the $20 I've paid for single spools. So to see some Best Buy spools running closer to the $11/kg target without having to buy in bulk quantities makes me very happy. Each Insignia spool comes in a cardboard box. Each spool is vacuum sealed with a desiccant packet. The filament comes on a cardboard spool. My first spool was PLA Black. The finish on the PLA is standard, it has a bit of a matte finish, it's not specifically labeled matte, it's just the standard PLA finish. The winding is neat and tight, with the end of the filament woven through a couple holes in the rim of the cardboard spool. The spool itself seems to match up with my existing plastic spool diameter. I did have some earlier Sunlu spools that needed additional rim diameter to work nicely with my AMS. I will note one of the smallest quirks. The winding direction on the spool is inconsistent. On one spool, it could be wound clockwise, the other counter-clockwise. The only way I could tell is because the Insignia brand sticker is only applied on one side of the spool. If they placed the Insignia brand sticker on both sides, I would not be able to tell. On the back of the box, Insignia has a decent chart that describes the recommended print settings of their various filament types. This is very handy for someone like me where I forget the print speed difference between things like PLA vs PLA +. If I were printing with my old Ender 3 Pro, I would be heavily invested in this chart. I would also print out a temperature tower and determine multiple printing factors. However, I wanted to see how this filament reacts to standard presets with my Bambu Lab printer. After I loaded the filament into the AMS, I selected the filament type as Generic PLA High Speed and dove straight into my first model. I also got a couple spools of Insignia PLA + and for those spools, I have them assigned as Generic PLA in Bambu Studio. In general, the PLA prints about 6% faster than PLA +. To my delight the first model with the standard presets for Generic PLA High Speed, turned out beautifully. There was no stringing, no overhang/bridging issues, layer lines were super consistent, there was no filament feed problems which gives me confidence that the 1.75mm diameter stayed true. I printed about 10% of the spool on my first model with this spool and I had no issues with tangles. I also noted there is very little to no odor while printing. I'm very happy with this PLA Black Insignia filament. It yielded a very good print that was consistent and printed with ease. Since the price is nearing my bulk spool price, I can see myself getting more Insignia filament to replace a single color that I’m running low on in the future.

Was skeptical at first, but the quality is fantastic! It's at the right price point and prints so well. I had to buy three rolls for a print project and had zero problems. Highly recommend it.
