Pros: Very nice silicone texture, it's flexible and stretchy material that is approximately 0.75mm thick (about the thickness of a credit card). Putting it on and taking it off the Steam deck is surprisingly simple, and all the cutouts line up well. Seems like a clear improvement over handling the deck bare. Cons: The design of the case does not allow the USB-C plug from the official deck to slot in, meaning you need to use an extender. The slight increase in width at the bottom of the case also means it does not properly sit in the guide channel of the dock. You can balance it somewhat by keeping it exactly at 90deg, perpendicular to your desk, but it does not feel sturdy at all. Finally, because of the nature of silicone, it does show some drooping at the edges of the case; most appparent in areas where you stretch to fit it over the sticks, and on the edge of the screen. I'm happy with the purchase, because it's dirt cheap compared to alternatives. If you don't plan to use the dock at all, this seems like an excellent option to pick up.

[Employee of bestbuy] The case itself is a bit mushier and more slippery than expected. It would be nice if it were a bit more rigid and the silicone wouldn't stretch and slide around as much. Otherwise it is thick enough and it does make the console easier to hold, giving the user a bit more grip. For the money, it is great value and gets the job done.

I really like the way the rubber was not too loose and not to tight to put on. And the color makes it look smooth

[Employee of bestbuy] I got one of the limited edition steam deck OLED models and wanted something to keep it from getting scuffed up without paying for some overpriced case or grip. This fits almost perfectly theres a tiny bit covering the bottom left corner of the screen but hardly noticeable. All of the cutouts match perfectly (MicroSD slot, charger port, volume buttons, etc.) It fits inside of the heavier case that came with the steam deck too.

Works as expected, first great, and has a good grip to it.

Feels better than the standard plastic housing that it comes with and gives a nice bit of extra grip on a normally bulky device. There are cutouts for every single vent and button, so nothing to worry about there. Simple and affordable protection.

I usually find Insignia makes really nice quality products for a great price and this grip bumper case is no exception. The case has a slim profile and a nice snug fit that covers the entire body of the steam deck extremely well. I highly recommend this not only for the extra protection, but also for the added comfort from the soft rubber material.

This silicone bumper case is well cut. I feel better grip with it on. Same issue with these soft covers...you have to pull/stretch it to make it cover fit and there is tiny slack. However, its light weight and does the job. Easy to clean.

The silicone case fit the steam deck oled perfectly, it provides protection from scratches and gives a better grip while playing games.

This is a good case for the Deck to use on the go. It fits pretty well, is able to easily put on and taken off. It fits pretty snug but is a little loose at the top of the screen. I am using a non OLED Steam deck. The material feels comfortable. Unfortunately there were some questions as to whether it fits in the original case or can be used in conjunction with the Steam Deck dock. Unfortunately it wont fit easily in the case and makes the deck too unstable(slippable) when used in conjunction with the dock. But it can easily be taken on and off and makes the deck feel comfortable portably. I recommend for the price, I got mine for $5.24 and it was a steal…

for something bought on sale to provide some immediate protection, this is perfect. didnt break the bank, fits snug and leaves all essential ports and vents accessible while adding a bit of protection from light bumps/scuffs.

It works fine. The rubber sleeve fits fine. I have seen comments that it is mushy or loose but mine is fine. The only issue i have is that if you have the steam deck docking station then the usb connector that comes with it will not plug in. I am thinking of using a hole puncher to make a hole to fit it in.

It works great. My only caveat is that some of the playable steam games require me to use the touch screen and select things at the very bottom of the screen. When this happens, the case is in the way of my finger and I have to slide the case down to make it work. Not a deal breaker by any means, just occasionally mildly annoying.

Fits very nicely on the OLED steam deck. It doesn’t interfere with it being in the case that the steam deck comes with either. Only thing i wish it did would cover the slot for the SD card a bit, but the steam deck itself didn’t do it either.

This Steam Deck case is great! It's thin yet durable and barely impacts the feel or weight of the device.
